    I had to breathe in though the mouth as fingers resticked nose. Also, with other videos, I find I want to naturaly stop breathing for a bit. To stop that happening, I stopped breathing so deep. With all these problems I am still glad I tried and am pleased to have made some little progress. Have tried this before and not got even this far, so thanks.

    What about the pitch of the humming? Does it make a difference if you hum at a lower or higher pitch?

    Thanks so much for explaining the pranayama in detail. Is it good to do this before meditation and sleep? I love all your videos, amazing channel. God bless you!

      Dear friend, Bhramari is a pranayama that is a very calming, soothing, relaxing pranayama, so it is great to do it before sleeping. Now on a more finer, subtler level you very much quiet and focus the mind, you balance your energies and enhance your spiritual energy and that makes this pranayama great for spiritual practices like meditation and feeling connection with a higher Self and the connection the universe and God within you. In the stillness after the bhramari realize that the Universe / God / Creation is manifesting itself in you. That there is not really a `you`, but there is existence. Just feel and observe life as it happens within you. Realizing that dissolves the Ego and creates the identification with the higher Self, your true nature. The I AM .
      God bless you too brother . Namaste

      Thanks so much for your quick response! Whenever I have any emotional feelings, I have hard time to get to sleep and sometimes I am awake most of the night and feel tired during the day. I will try to do this Brahmari pranayama around 10 times if I have any emotional feeling and before meditation to connect with my highest self. Namaste!

    Do we breathe in from the nose, how and when do we breathe out if lips are closed. Thanks

    • @yogalap
      @yogalap  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Breathe in slowly through your nostrils, and then exhale slowly emulating a steady, low-pitched ‘hmmm’ as a bee makes at the back of your throat cartilage. If the sound resembles the humming of a bee, then you are doing it right ;-) peace and blessings
