Blades of the Pyre + Formless Faint is actually the most busted ability combo, because you avoid the self-damage and just explode at will for massive damage and ragdoll knockback.
in addition you also get to apply to yourself a short limited duration Fire Inchant. its sorta like a combination Powder Blast and Ignited Blade, without a clinging mechanic to it.
I’m honestly shocked by how many of these people keep releasing videos without knowing that combo. I’m literally going around watching thief guides to see how many are frauds. When he called it a meme ability, I knew. Idk why they don’t research the class a bit more to see if anyone else has found a unique synergy like that.
Formless Feint, Blades of the Pyre, Skull Splitter, Implicate, and profit. Frosted Edges are currently slotted, but the Spite daggers pair well with Skull Splitter and the augment that increases debilitation procs.
Didn't work, it just gave all the power to the theif, and the archer is left a chump. I really hate that there are missions that force you to use the archer. I maxed it because I felt obligated to after unlocking it for the elf quest.
Blades of pyre used with formless feint is beyond broken. It one shots basically everything and anything weak to fire is a wrap. Even on dragons it does damage in impact
fun fact.. the other move you get from the thieves guild "the troll" ability is broken combined with formless faint..... you deal insane dmg close combat,, but due formless faint you get NO dmg.
Personally thief is also the most fun, dragons dogma is at its best when youre just climbing these climble monsters and going to town on their faces with a weapon.....with magical and ranged classes you dont really get to do that....and ultimately youre just trying to dodge attacks and youre mostly out of the fight casting spells, not really that fun....
I agree, but am a shill for swords, so I rock warfarer with a great sword and sword and shield with gutting skewer with the fast climbing augment. Gutting skewer isn't gut and run, but it has the same vibes.
People say formless faint is op but the stamina drain says other wise. I mean it’s good if your just doing normal attacks but if you like using skills a lot it completely washes your stamina
I'm downloading this game right now while I'm at work and I'll be playing when I get home. The plan is to start as a Fighter with my Pawn as a Mage, all the while working to achieve the Mystic Spearman vocation and the best weapons and gear I can get in the early game. But the Thief does look cool too so lets see if you can convince me to change plans. EDIT: After watching this the Thief is definitely a really fun looking class to use but I think I'll be sticking to my current plan, though I do think I'll make sure to always hire at least one Thief Pawn from the Rift.
Mystic Spearhand is super fun too and very powerful. One cool thing about DD2 is you're encouraged to play and test out different classes so you should be able to try thief as well. I was able to max out 3 vocations in one playthrough and got another one very close to max. Lots of fun playstyles in this game
Add pilfer to your pawn theives and they will steal from enemies for you (including larger boss types) - teh items come from the creatures loot pool so you have a chance to get some pretty cool items from bigger enemies.
ur playing thief wrong if ur not using blades of pyre with formless feint, its also how u counter the armored monsters. I use it as a replacement for draw n quarter cause i dont wanna climb as much and would rather carve farm drakes for wlc’s. But when i do need to shred the bosses blades of pyre literally does almost 1 health bar worth of damage to drakes and way more to furry ones
Was playing a spear hand for most of the early game (rushed to get it) but once I got the Meister ability I swapped to try it out, have never looked back
The most "broken" would be mage archer. Easy to use, easy high damage, easy stagger, easy support. You don't have to think with this, just aim in the general direction of a weak point and shoot those magic arrows Thief is easily the second best and is also way more fun

He said the “sub zero get over here move” lmao scorpion my guy😭
A Cardinal Sin!!!!
Doing both Sub Zero and Scorpion dirty here 😭
I immediately went to the comments once I heard it 😭😭

Yeah, it’s really busted.
Woah... time to try this out.

the way you can spam blades of the pyre too is disgusting

Pro tip: remember those rock saurians that Big Dan mentioned? Well, use ensnare on them to turn them over to their belly side and profit!

Strider was so powerful that they decided to cut in half two different classes 😂
So true hahaha
Become a warfarer, equip daggers and bow only, strider lite
@@SquigglyTheAsianPotato Once my uncle said: "With great power, comes bullying bosses"
Aye, this is it 😂

The "get over here" move is not from Sub Zero, it's from Scorpion. Good video though.
I almost commented this
Blades of pyre with formless feint ... just amazing
The meme maister skill is actually one of the strongest in the game when paired with the other maister skill, which negates the selfdamage

I've been loving the thief build. I like the quickness and agility. I had no idea it was so powerful
“Subzero get over here move”???? That’s scorpion’s move…
Powder over the double jump is wild, I feel like the double jump is insanely useful but to each their own!
It wasn't subzero that said get over here it was scorpion
I NEEDED someone else to address that 😂
He's says, buckle up, grab some iced coffee and let's go".
Me: pours shot of vodka
Its defined the SKORPION "Get over here!" Move
Formless faint followed by smoke screen followed by blades of pyre is decimation
rip Gryffin's ass at 5:40
Your meant to use the two master abilities together Dan…
The thief’s second master ability isn’t a meme…. If you use it while you have formless feint running you take no damage from it. It’s nasty.
People say formless faint is op but the stamina drain says other wise. I mean it’s good if your just doing normal attacks but if you like using skills a lot it completely washes your stamina
Y’all gotta try the warfarer sorcerer Thief combo man helm splitter plus that DPS EXPLOSIVE SPELL melts drakes

All vocations are busted. thats why i love this game and the first.

Naw bro really said "sub zero get over here move" u mean scorpion sir?😂😂lol great vid tho man
Hey how about the helmet legs and boots, and the best styles for upgrading armor and weapons
Was playing a spear hand for most of the early game (rushed to get it) but once I got the Meister ability I swapped to try it out, have never looked back
He said Sub-Zero get over here move lol
Do weight matter? Is 87 kg too high for thief class?
The most "broken" would be mage archer.

Mystic spearhand is definitely up there with theif
Heck nah
You probably just bad. @@xenolegends7675
The video almost inplies that this dude equipped all 4 slots with skull splitter. 😂
Stopped watching the video when he said "the subzero get over here move"😂😂
If you're baffled by grenades in Dragon's Dogma, what were you throwing in Dragon age?
I know lots of fantasy games have grenades. Just cracks me up every time. I do enjoy it though
Sub-zero excuse me what-
L+Ratio+it’s scorpion not sub-zero+Should have used concussive leap
Sub zero. ??
I was going to like the video but 4:13 hitted me real hard. dislike :(
Yeah but warrior is way better.
Thief is strong but your headline is bullshit. Mystic Archer can kill dragons with one attack for example ;-)
This video on mute goes hard. Most brain dead individual putting out a guide yet
Idk how doing the same skill over and over is fun
Nobody cares about this game
