- Thinking of making a move? We asked our diverse team who moved over to Jersey what they loved about our Island. Hear what makes Jersey so special!

Those winter months spoil the appeal for me. Living in year round sunshine from Palm Springs CA.
Lived there for 6 months during my internship in 2009. Great Island, great people, good memories!
We are there this year :)
Wow I really like this Island 🏝️☺️
Full of junkies
Fun for a week not for life!!
I think the way England is now days its better to be anywhere but England 😅
@@ClavDgamer I agree a week. OK
Jersey is a rip off high rents full of alcoholics clinging to a rock lol
During the pandemic, I got out of New York City and moved to Jersey.
Where nobody used a face mask... And were quite amazed how they got the virus.
Yes, Jersey was a different dimension during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I never got vaxxxed and was quite amazed how I never once got the big cough, whilst those around me, despite beinh multi-vaxxxed and super boosted got it multiple times @@hitardo
Living there for twenty years renting before you can even start looking for a house and thats if you've got enough money might put you off..
Seems alluring.
How about if someone took a break from corporate life for a while.
very expensive to live though
why move to Jersey when you could move to Guernsey?
It’s ironic that nobody mentions the tax benefits in a BDO video. 😂
I live here
That's a shame you live there
Same eftekh
@@eftekharhossin552 shame feel sorry for you lol
Jersey has many issues typical of an island:
- High prices in stores due to low competition and high barriers of entry for new players,
- Expensive land, which makes for expensive housing;
- Small pieces of land, which make it expensive to buy a detached home;
- The island services are concentrated on one place, St. Helier.
Moreover, it is suffering with Brexit - because its major trading partner, the UK, is struggling with inflation, product scarcity, lack of labor, etc...
Additionally, the qualification scheme makes it quite expensive to rent, which brings down the newcomers.
Furthermore, the health services are quite... Not up to the standards people living in a first World country are used to.
This comes from the fact that it is challenging to motivate both young and experienced Doctors to come to Jersey - and the Government is not doing enough.
The "Current Year Tax Reform" was quite bad - and I lost some of the trust I had in stability from the Government.
Yes, the weather is nice, and there are plenty of beaches and monuments to visit.
But, I think you can do it in a week - 4 days, I would say.
Healthcare in the UK itself isn’t great.
@@hariharankrishnan3398 yes, I agree.
But the fact that in the UK healthcare is not adequate, does not make up for the issues in healthcare in Jersey.
In fact, many of the issues I found in Jersey are shared among the two systems, as the Jersey one was largely based on the UK one.
Jersey has the additional challenge of captivating Doctors to come to a "remote" island - which the UK also may struggle in some far away places of Great Britain, for example.
Jersey's not suffering from Brexit, stop the propaganda
@@hariharankrishnan3398 if someone is seriously ill they get moved to mainland ggthat hospital in jersey is a dump jersey had no amenities for serious issues
How can I move there as a Filipino?

I will love to move to Jersey and work for your firm as a tax consultant. I am a qualified accountant and a experienced tax consultant.
However, I stay in Nigeria, are you guys willing my to sponsor my work license if I eventually get a chance to work with you guys?
@@dadakehinde8258 why you wanting to move haha
A couple of days, a week at best then I have to get back to civilisation. London is so much better
If you like pollution, crime and traffic.
London is perfect 👌
Any big shity will do.
London....No
I’m from Jersey and it breaks my heart that the island has been ruined by money and overrun with outsiders like all the people featured in this film , interesting that you didn’t interview any Jersey people .
Ikr - I thought Jersey was very protective and selective with regard to letting new people in
@@rumdo5617 It is
Same
I wonder how you’re ancestors got to the island? Dork
its all a scam trust
I live here and enjoy every second. Trust me!
Wouldn't you be better off explaining your accusation than simply making it? I'm interested to know any cons, especially tax related.
Don't move there full of junkies😂
@@albertreynolds9287probably don’t even know where jersey is.
