You and I are very similar. My energy flactuates too. In 2021, I used 3 things to manage my energy and to create some form of consistency in how I live life and not have too much flactuation.
Growing my hair out by being gentle and learning from you and other naturals.
Gardening. Growing my own food and having an hour a day spent out in the garden taking care of my plants.
Skincare and self care. Spending at least 3 days a week taking decent care of my skin.
I've learned, through these three things, to be very forgiving with myself. Even if I am unable to be consistent, I forgive myself and pick up wherever I left off with all 3. It's not about doing things perfectly, it's about having an overall consistency with them.
Somehow, that has definitely helped me become a more positive and productive person. But I am still a WIP.

I think it is far more common that people have fluctuation in their energy, and for a diverse set of reasons, than not. In present accepted society, we are told that we should work, grind, hustle, etc. - to achieve our goals. But in reality, our bodies are cyclical and while those very energetic traits are extremely important, serve as a path to success of our goals, there is also this other piece that provides us balance to endure and accommodate longevity of said goals. In my experience, just as it served me with my hair goals, the more I supply time for rest, being lazy or distracted, the more I encourage the higher energy to be present at the best times. Because I'm not forcing the high energy all the time, it comes more naturally when I need it.
Thank you for sharing! it was good to listen to and see you. XO

It’s so interesting to watch your evolution and I think so many of us are rooting for you. Most importantly, you are interrogating what you want from life, how you will achieve it and where that needs to be and when. Sometimes we forget that there is a ‘growing’ part of getting where we want to be and omitting this can really sabotage our well being. I wonder how small Island life impacts you too given your experiences and think that would be interesting to hear more about. Thank you for sharing. X

Thank you for your comment and continued support over the years. I appreciate you very much.
I can definitely agree about the trap we fall into once we being moving towards a certain goal. We forget that it's the beginning of something new and will likely not be easy. I love how you put it.
Oh that's definitely played a role as well - I have a hypothesis that my body is more used to changing seasons as the limited day length fluctuations make me feel like I'm living the same day over and over again. It's an eery feeling. Might you have other specific questions about living here? I'd love to attempt to address them in future content.
      My pleasure. x

I used to have the same feelings psychologically. I struggled with self doubt for a long time. I wanted to start my own business, but was crippled by doubt, fear, low self esteem. I still haven't started and have all but given up. I also struggled with depression for a long time. I did not seek medical help for it as didn't want to be judged, so suffered in silence. I would be great one minute and down in the dumps the next, I would be full of inspiration and get up and go one minute but find myself struggling to be motivated to do even the most basic of things the next. Thank God I no longer have either depression or low self esteem. I'm so grateful to God. Stay blessed, stay beautiful❤

Your description of high energy followed by self-doubt and low energy seems to be describing the imposter syndrome. A lot of us experience these feelings from time to time. They say it's common in high achievers and affect women more than men, especially women of color. I think society expects a lot from us keeping us in a constant state of trying to prove and validate ourselves. Hang in there, you are in good company!

      Hi Jacky,
Thank you for the affirming words. You never fail to remind me that I'm on the right path. I am so grateful to have you in my life. ✨
As much as I appreciate your calling me a genius, I'm going to humbly respond by saying I have sooooo much to learn and optimise in my life, and it's a never-ending journey. That said, my second brain is something I am incredibly proud of and I would be glad to take you through it one of these days. I wanted to before but I know you already have your own knowledge management system and I didn't want to impose mine...
And yes, it's such an immense privilege to have access to therapy. We all need it.
Thank you for your kind words about my physical appearance 😁
2022 is teaching me a lot. I hope you're getting all the ease you deserve this year.

The moon phases can affect people a lot too especially if you absorb/ feel the energies around you easily.
I think it’s common to have severe fluctuations in energy but people tend to push it to the side or push through instead of listening to their bodies and inner voice/instincts.
And if you add hormones and mental issues it’s another story for another day.

@@NaturallyHigh Sorry it took me a while to reply back. I hope your doing well. I appreciate your reaction on my comment, I also did not expect it. So here it comes; first let me say that Im happy the changes you made are both encouraging you and also making live easier. Those are BIG words when talking about the care of your natural crown. Here are mine: I have dense, low porosity, 4c hair.... So this works for me I was wondering if washing my hair in parts instead of in my two strand twists would encourage the growth more... but my dilemma was how out of control the density gets when I did that in the past... but I noticed others with dense 4c hair washed their hair in parts and had no problem... it also seemed to florish more or better... that reminded me to check out the detangler of nappyheadedjojoba. That did woooooonders I was done detangling faster and easier, my hair was soft and I could easily use a wide tooth come to get the shedded hair that some how doesnt get out only when finger detangling😁. I can tell you tge recepy but you can look it up too. Thats the part that makes this most amazing. That's 1 mine 2nd big change was something I picked up from Greenbeauty - she brought up the idea of washing your hair once a month, use a protein treatment and then - because im low porosity - stretching my hair using a blow dryer. I want to add a few things: that I stop as soon I see its stretched, not straight!! Thats how you prefent heat damage. I also use a blow dryer of quality that doesn't damage my hair when I use it. And not everybody needs a blowdryer to stretch their hair... there are some lucky once who dont 😃 but I do. I noticed a significant decrease in single strand knots. And instead of washing I refresh my scalp and hair with a mist of aloe vera juice in a spray bottle and tea tree oil regularly because our sebum gets trapt on our scalp because of our kinks. And by using this method i help it to get of my scalp and over my hair. And I add a few drops of my hair oil mixture ( olive, avocado and coconut oil) over my hair... For some one who liked to wash her hair atleast every 2 weeks or did a rince or cowash in between... this was a big thing to try but it made life easier and my hair and scalp are enjoying it too.
