    Some card gel for IH-1000 machine has DVI neg and other card has DVI pos, my question what the different between them?

      actually it’s to detect D variants type
      DVI pos cards used to test patient samples (if patient has D variant , card will show negative result so will give negative blood to prevent alloimmunaizatio . DVI pos used as confirmation for donors. Donor with D variant type will show like O pos group

    Whats in the reagent red cells?

      Reagent red cells are a 3-4% cell suspension of known type red blood cells (specifically A1 and B types).

      Sorry, didn’t look at the video before answering. For antibody screens, the red cells are group O but have been antigen typed to produce an anagram that helps identify unknown antibodies. The same concept is used in an antibody panel but more reagent red cells are used to aid in antibody identification.
