can i know is it necessary to do an autocontrol for screening test?
Yes, we do auto-control with antibody screens. This is to see if the reaction is really due to antibody or it is from the patient. The auto control is patient’s plasma mixed with the patient’s RBC.
So the autocontrol must be negative all the time?
