Hey Armin! Thanks for watching buddy. It’ll get warm but if you want a P series chip, I don’t know that any of them are going to be hugely different. Something like the Asus 14X I reviewed or the Surface Laptop Studio has better heat dissipation but obviously, they’re physically bigger devices.
@@mikedropstech thank you for a fast answer. But during the normal usage like office, youtube, browsing will they be extremely loud with fans or hot in the lap?
If you just need a light weight, straight forward windows based laptop I’d go for the regular XPS and not the Plus. The extra performance of the P series processor won’t change much for you but the heat and fan noise will affect battery life a little more. But wait for the new Surface Laptop 5 being announced this month by Microsoft! Could be an interesting option also 😁

Thanks for watching and subscribing! I'm working on some more comparisons but I'm not sure I can keep hold of these long enough for the M2 Macbook Air although I'll try!
Just get the MacBook Air 2022 if you don’t need window os. The new 13 Xps 2022 just ain’t worth in terms of performance (with that lousy chip) As for Xps 13 plus, it is just a “design over functionality laptop”. 2 ports (left 1 if you use it while charging) without audio jack, and even the M2 MacBook Air has 2 free ports plus audio jack (since it has a macsafe port for charging). In terms of screen resolution, Dell forced you to choose either FHD or pay for Oled which is quite a big jump in terms of $. Lastly, camera and audio speaker, I am leaning towards M2 MacBook Air too.
Well…. Hold your horses there for just a second! I’m playing with the new M2 Air now and will be dropping a review next week but it’s not all sugar and roses over here either 😱. Too many reviewers have gotten carried away while ignoring so pretty glaring disappointments with the device.
Good review. Both laptops would certainly be a very good choice if I had to buy a device with Microsoft Windows. However, the heat development of powerful Intel laptops bothers me a lot.
Hey Michael! Thanks for watching and sharing some thoughts. I think the heat of the 12th gen has disappointed many folks for sure. I wish intel would up their game. Hopefully the new AMD Ryzen chips blow us away!
Using my Surface Book 3 15" plugged into an external display and on best performance, it is dead silent which is great. I am eager to hear how the XPS 13 Plus does in this scenario. I purchased the 13" Surface Laptop 4 and returned it because the fans wanted to ramp up too much. My Surface Book is just using the Iris Plus graphics with the program I am using mostly so its not that the Surface Laptop 4 13" was working any harder. Fan noise ramping up and down gets really annoying! Thanks again for another great one.
Yeah Microsoft are definitely too dog when it comes to overall build quality. The thermals on their laptops are incredible and the Studio dissipated heat like a banshee. Plugged in and docked, you’ll hear the fans slightly doing light work on this. Nothing crazy and not annoying unless you’re OCD like me and need silence. Then you start looking at task manager to shut down every task possible even though you’re just browsing the inter webs 😱.
I'll be reviewing the air when it comes out but from everything we're seeing right now about the m2, it's an incremental upgrade at best so it really boils down to whether you prefer MacOS over Windows, and whether you like the look of the hardware more than the Dell.
This is such a confusing video because throughout it I do not know which laptop is the ultra and the regular. You keep saying 'this' and 'this' - please say which laptop you are talking about instead of saying THIS.
Hey buddy! Thanks for watching and taking the time to chat. I've only been reviewing Windows laptops and Apple laptops so although Ubuntu and other systems exist, I'm trying to keep it relatively mainstream as to what folks might be looking for when shopping at a Best Buy for example. 😀

Great video, please do more like surface book vs xps 13/xps 13 plus or macbook air 2022 vs xps 13 plus/ xps 13. Thank you!
Thanks for watching and subscribing! I'm working on some more comparisons but I'm not sure I can keep hold of these long enough for the M2 Macbook Air although I'll try!
Just get the MacBook Air 2022 if you don’t need window os. The new 13 Xps 2022 just ain’t worth in terms of performance (with that lousy chip)
As for Xps 13 plus, it is just a “design over functionality laptop”.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS !!!! I was dying to see how do these compare! Making a purchase decision a lot smarter!
P.S. - Just subscribed :)
Hey Gil! Thanks for watching and the sub! Glad you enjoyed the videos and that they helped 😁.
Seriously bad choice of red cap in the background but a brilliant content.
Dude! They'll win again one day. But right now I'm thinking bringing back Sir Alex would be better than the direction they're headed 😱
should i get the 8gb 256gb or is it worth 16gb 512gb? im a mechanical engineering student
Dude… 16gb / 512gb all the way!
it would be cool for a xps15 2022 vs 2021 test too
It would be. But I don’t have the 15s in my studio anymore 😩!
Delete key is upper right on the function keys ☺️
😱
can u put timestamps in your videos
I started doing it again a while back. Just scroll down the description and you’ll see ‘em! 😁

💀💀💀
😱
No headphone jack!? Dude!
🙄
Dropping a like and a sub just for the "opening a webpage" "heavy load" joke xD
Dude! Glad someone appreciates my real world speed test & humor 😂!
The XPS 13 Plus should be an XPS 14
You’re right. Makes much more sense.
These or M2 MacBook Air ?
I'll be reviewing the air when it comes out but from everything we're seeing right now about the m2, it's an incremental upgrade at best so it really boils down to whether you prefer MacOS over Windows, and whether you like the look of the hardware more than the Dell.
Let me help you by hitting the subscribe button
Dude..... You're AMAZING! Thanks so much for watching and subscribing!
it is a good laptop I just wish they'd put a decent webcam in it
Hey buddy! Thanks for watching and subscribing. I hear ya, but that’s a fair criticism of MANY laptops right now including Apple’s newest MacBook Pro!
You look a little like Rio Ferdinand.
Well…. I don’t make footballer money, and think I may be just a little better looking 😂 but I see the resemblance!
Apple has great products but the OS is slugish as Sh***t compared to Windows..
😳
This is such a confusing video because throughout it I do not know which laptop is the ultra and the regular. You keep saying 'this' and 'this' - please say which laptop you are talking about instead of saying THIS.
The plus has the new futuristic design with no visible track pad 😀
I like big track pads and I cannot lie 🤣😂 when an xps walks in with a big track pad in your face you get sprung 🤣😂
😱
can we please stop this bullshit of calling everything that's not apple "Windows"?
also, oh wow, a RISC chip uses less power than a CISC one, amazing
Hey buddy! Thanks for watching and taking the time to chat. I've only been reviewing Windows laptops and Apple laptops so although Ubuntu and other systems exist, I'm trying to keep it relatively mainstream as to what folks might be looking for when shopping at a Best Buy for example. 😀
You are a funny guy and make a booring video more interesting 🤪
Well hey buddy! Thanks for watching and letting me know you enjoyed it 😜
why does he talk like an American?
Because I live in America!
