    Torque specs for the manifold are 105 in/lbs, not 150 in/lbs as you stated. Doing so could cause breaking a bolt or cracking the manifold. I know this video is 5 yrs old, but still is frequently watched, so please take the time to correct your mistake. You might also take a second to clarify the orientation when seating that blue gasket on the upper egr tube, as it's commonly installed backwards, (even by trained "professionals"). Other than that, thank you for taking the time to make this video.

    I started torquing the manifold bolts to 150 inch lbs as you said it calls for but it was taking forever to click and it felt like too much torque and was about to strip the threads out. I googled the torque spec and references several forums and other websites that all stated the torque is actually 105 inch lbs or 6 ft lbs. I removed the bolts and set the torque to 105 and all went well.

      Same. Torqued to 150 in lbs, busted a bolt. Rechecked vid and confirmed he said 150. Checked a few other places and found 105 as well.

      So I keep trying conversions to get this math people are doing, while this video was way off on the inch pounds, the 105 required was just around 8.3. I was wondering if you used a different conversion?

    min 12:16 to 12:17 was edited. its very hard to plug back the egr tube in the intake without to lubricate the blue seal or blue o ring and the intake manifold hole where it go in

    Great video, one small suggestion use a small container like a coffee can to put small nuts, ect. Into so they will not fall on the ground and roll away.

    • @MySilverSprings
      @MySilverSprings 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bought a couple of small divided craft boxes for nuts, etc. As I remove them I put them in a certain order in the box. That way the same nuts from the same part are all together. I also put magnetic tape on the bottom of it so I can adhere it safely somewhere to the motor or tool chest. It has saved me a lot of headaches.

    How about changing the spark plugs on a 2005 300c with just one coil per cylinder? Do they still use 16 spark plugs some how? Almost all posts online suggests 16 spark plugs on the 5.7 but I only see 8 coils with single sleeve.

      Probably too late to be of any help to you, but just in case someone else has the same issue, first place to check is the blue gasket on the upper end of the egr tube right where it connects into the back of the manifold. It's a known issue for these cars. I've had to replace mine several times over the last decade. They'll either end up getting sucked into the manifold or they get torn and compromise the seal.

    Do ignition coils give you power

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Carlos Leonardo Yes the ignition coils is what converts the voltage that helps give you spark! 1aauto.com

    • @AwsomeEric100
      @AwsomeEric100 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@1AAuto No it does not give you power. It converts the low voltage into a high enough voltage needed to allow a spark to jump the gap. The amperage is reduced however. So to truly answer if the ignition coil gives you power, that answer would be no. The power is initially supplied by the battery and then by the alternator.

    I don't like how they say you need a full set of these metric wrenches or sockets because you don't actually use a full set in this video I believel they just don't know what you need and include that but it would be a lot more informative if they actually told you. Why would I need a full set if I'm only using 1 or 2 of the sizes.

    • @AwsomeEric100

      once the socket is seated on the plug you should have to press down at all really. When installing, start by turning the extension by hand before switching to ratchet or torque wrench
