I didn’t clean mine I bought them new Maf sensor and the idle air also the throttle position sensor I still have that problem where she revs to 3k rpm’s …what’s next?
I just cleaned the throttle body with a Lucas cleaner for that. It was gunked up pretty bad and now has a normal and stable idle. I did remove the throttle body from the intake, so really cleaned it well.
I don't have a rough idle, but when I go over 2000 rpms my Ranger shakes and i let go of the gas pedal and everything goes back to normal. It happens every time, do you have any idea?
A lot of things it could be, but I heard a guy with a ranger complain about the same thing at the same RPM, and it turned out it was a cracked spark plug that was giving him the issues. You can also look at the harmonic balancer, tires and wheels, engine mounts, water pump to mention a few.
I did a tune up, thinking it could solve the problem. New spark plugs and Wires, see i can step on the gas and get it to 3000-3500 without a problem, but when it shifts down to 2000 it does that shaking sensation. I let go of the pedal and press on the gas again, and it goes away. But I'll definitely keep looking
Just cleaned these on my '05, idles like a brand new truck now, thanks!
While you're in there you can replace that figure 8-shaped IAC gasket. Fel-pro costs a buck on rockauto
I took the idle air control valve off and it's really wet inside where it attaches, what's that about?

Same

Please do a video on throttle cable!
To clean the MAS , can you use brake cleaner?? Or do u need a specific cleaner??
Do not use brake cleaner on it. The sensor very sensitive. You should use mass air flow sensor cleaner on it.

@@mcgerry1543 My guess would be the harmonic balancer.
What would that be?
@@mcgerry1543 and actually sounds like the torque converter. Do you notice it around 45 mph?
Can u use alcohol?
only use Mass airflow cleaner on the Mass airflow sensor, it is very sensitive.
لدي مشكلة سيارة تتوقف عند الحركة غيرت قلب بومبة بنزين وفلتر بنزين لافائدة
2008 Ford Ranger
Can I use the carb and choke cleaner on the sensor too?
everyone says to use maf sensor cleaner specifically
@Deafleopard okay good that's what I bought
