    looks like the lens clip was rotating ever so slightly, which twisted your 'squeeze-horizon'.
    The straight lines are rotated and distorted, so that's why it looks so wonky, and weird.
    I also noticed that the anamorphic footage looks like it was not de-squeezed properly [ 0:29 ]. on a 16:9 smartphone sensor, you should shoot with a 1.33x lens.
    if you crop to 4:3, you can use the 1.55x lens; to get that sweet 2.39:1 aspect ratio
    just remember that anything wider than 2.39:1 or 2.40:1 look silly, and pointless on 16:9 TVs and phone screens.

    Which one do I get if they’re both on sale for $129 Canadian dollars 💸

      @@smartphonefilmmakingpro I need your help, do you like using the OM4 or the q3 better? or is the smooth 5 worth the extra cost? I watched all your videos and it feels like they all have their benefits
      do you have the 1 favourite gimbal to use or the 1 gimbal you can't live without? or you love them all? XD
      and I found out the om4 and om4SE only difference is the new clamp, but you can buy that seperately or buy the light clamp and get a bigger clamp

    Anybody wondering why this footage has a strange wobbling look. These lenses need to be used with a camera app designed for this lens. The stock photo app’s sharpening and enhancement algorithms get confused with the squeezed format. That said the clarity of the lens look really good.

    Just got mine 1.55 for iPhone 12 Pro Max. I tried them and it’s only work for the main camera who’s is the 1x and when I’m recording while I’m walking ninja style it’s still shaky. Also I tried the anamorphic lens on the wide angle camera phone I can see the anamorphic lens ring and on the tele lens all I can see it’s dark color. Any tips for this or did SA Marc sent me a defective lens. Thanks

    • @smartphonefilmmakingpro
      @smartphonefilmmakingpro  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would only walk with it on a gimbal.. i mean it also works handheld.. but its more difficult. It is meant to be on the 1x lens.. just make sure you mount it correct. And use an app that desqueezes the image in real time

    Might want to be a competent reviewer and mention the wobbly rolling shutter artifacts exaggerated from the squash and not hide that fact by only showing static shots. You sure your not secretly funded by these folks?

    • @smartphonefilmmakingpro
      @smartphonefilmmakingpro  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you would watch the video entirely you would have noticed that I do mention this. by the way, this has nothing to do with the rolling shutter, this is because of the stabilisation. thanks for the feedback though!

      So, after watching many videos I bought this 1:55 anamorphic lens and when I started shooting I only got a wobbly video with the vignette on the sides. The Vignette I know from many videos and from Sandmarc that I have to crop the video by 5% and that seems to solve most of it. What I didn’t`t expect was the wobbling, You really can`t move this fast and the video looks awful so I think this lens works mostly for still videos.
      After revisiting many videos from different youtubers to understand what I am doing wrong I can see clearly the wobbling on this video, the only thing is this is very well hidden as most shots are mostly static, but now with my trained eye I can also see the wobbling here.
      I love some of Sandmarc products like the filters (Cloud, VND, Polarizer filters, etc) but my experience with the 2 lenses I bought (1:55 Anamorphic and Telephoto lenses) is really bad.
      I would not recommend buying the lens unless you are fully aware of what you are getting into.
