Hi Selena! Hello from Singapore! Your videos are very informative..can you do a video around PCOS and if GAPS diet helps that (not necessarily caused by Insulin resistance but also adrenal fatigues or other factors)…
Hi Selena. Thanks for the video. I did sort of GAPS and ate meatstock for 3 years, however it didn't heal my gut. I stop tolerating meatstock and got histamine intolerance on top of that. My doctor suggests that the leaky gut in my case is triggered by malfunctioning vagus nerve system, sending wrong signals to the gut. Is that possible? If so, how do I heal that?
Thanks for sharing! I do believe the nervous system can be very influential in histamine intolerance recovery. There are likely other factors involved. I always like to think that it is never just one thing that caused the problem and so not one will fix it but nervous system regulation can be a big journey for a lot of people with chronic symptoms. I programs like primal trust for a deep dive on nervous system regulation. But I personally strongly believe in the power of inner healing/trauma work with a good counselor. You can hug yourself and do other nervous system regulating work all day long but I think the deep work happens with a person. I also personally like that person to be a christian that is knowledgeable about connecting with Jesus in the form of tangible encounters. That may not be you but I think what our bodies are ultimately needing is to be connected to the source of truest love (which I believe is God). If you would like resources on spiritual counselors or trauma counselors please let me know!
