If you want to get rid of the subwoofer interference noise what you have to do is plug in the preamp cable (the smaller white pin that has the 4 red and white and the 1 green rca) into the back. Plug the green rca into the green from the main harness. Do not use the amplifier retention harness or plug in the other 4 rca connections. Those are for the shaker 1000 system or for aftermarket subs. Your car has the shaker 500 so it does not have the additional amplifiers. If this doesn't make sense let me know and I can try and walk you through it a bit better.
I had just given up, I figured the sound of my exhaust would just cover up the noise, but ill definitely try that out. Thanks!
@@AlphaX13 I didn't even notice it at first until I shut the car off and turned the volume all the way down and the static was still there. If you turn the radio on with the car off and volume all the way down and touch the green rca your body will complete the circuit and you should hear a tone which will confirm you need that extra harness plugged in. Basically the subs have power but are waiting on an input.

Hey so I’m curious can I still retain my door subwoofers and add another subwoofer in the back? What cables would I need for that
Just ordered this. How did you pair the new system so you could use your Bluetooth?
Once everything you want is plugged in and connected just turn the car on and open Bluetooth on your phone, select the newly listed device, and enter "1234" if it asks for a pin.
Do you have to disconnect your battery for this? Always afraid im going to fry myself messing with it
I suppose technically you may not HAVE to, but personally I always disconnect the battery before doing anything electrical. For safety reasons, but also to prevent damaging any components. As long as you remove the negative side first while keeping in mind not to touch any other metals with your tool, you should have a fine day. Best of luck!
I just installed this on my 2014 Mustang, when I'm exit out of Google maps and try going somewhere else it has a 50/50 chance of freezing. Has this happened to you?
I personally use the iLink for apple phones, but I'm not having that issue. It could either be a bad connection or maybe a software issue. I'd first make sure you're using the most up-to-date version.

The ilink pro should come in the box. I didn’t have to order it separately. Hope this helped.

Yeah that's what I've heard. Of course they release the N8 right after I finally get the N7. If I can get my hands on the new N8, I'll make an updated install video.
Does it have wireless android auto??
Unfortunately neither the N7 nor the newer N8 offer wireless android auto. The N8 does however offer wireless apple car play.
