I was born 8 years after Kurt died and Nirvana stopped making music. Yet somehow this band still fills in all the words i haven’t said and some that I have yet to say. I’m so glad that music like this lives on during my life.
The song was originally composed by David Bowie in one thousand nine hundred seventy, and years later, several musicians covered the song including the band Nirvana in one thousand nine hundred ninety-three, whose performance for MTV Unplugged made it an iconic song tinged by the dark and melancholic personality of Kurt Cobain. The song was marked as a bittersweet memory when the following year the singer made the decision to end his existence, causing the general public to attribute a premonitory meaning to the lyrics.
This is one of their best performances. The place was filled with just the right amount of people. It feels comfortable, like they were able to lock in with the sound and more importantly the feeling. I think cypress hill and the beastie boys also played this night. I used to borrow the recorded copy my brother had on VHS all the time. I was already listening to underground music long before this, thanks to older brothers and the left side of the radio, but this let me know the real shit was about to be unleashed unto the world at large. Wish Kurt was here still. Woulda been fucking cool to hear and see him.

We never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world
I laughed and shook his hand
And made my way back home
I searched for form and land
For years and years I roamed
I gazed a gazeless stare
At all the millions here
I must have died alone
A long, long time ago
Who knows?
Not me
I never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world
Who knows?
Not me

We passed upon the stairs
We spoke of was and when
Although I wasn't there
He said I was his friend
Which came as a surprise
I spoke into his eyes
I thought you died alone
A long long time ago
[Chorus]
Oh no, not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the man who sold the world
[Verse 2]
I laughed and shook his hand
And made my way back home
I searched for foreign land
For years and years I roamed
I gazed a gazeless stare
We walked a million hills
I must have died alone
A long, long time ago
[Chorus]
Who knows? Not me
I never lost control
You're face to face

Nobody will forget about Kurt, He was the best, But he died at the age of 27 and we couldn't stop him. Rest In Peace, Kurt.

that fact that he's dead it seems so unbelievable
Kurt be uploading straight from heaven to help us deal with quarantine
If Kurt died a sinner without being saved, born again, forgiven. He is not in heaven. Lake of fire is where those who aren’t saved, go.
I envy this audience so much, having the opportunity to witness a unique moment in the history of music is priceless.
Kurt marcou uma geração, Descanse Em Paz!!!
I was born 8 years after Kurt died and Nirvana stopped making music. Yet somehow this band still fills in all the words i haven’t said and some that I have yet to say. I’m so glad that music like this lives on during my life.
Same. I envy everyone that was able to see them live.

Kurt voice was unique. So pure..so much soul. The greatest voice ever...love the bass and all band
good voice- but cannot begin to compare with bowie..
@@bangkokgas i disagree if anything his voice was better than bowie, its more raw and edgy, and never dissapoints.
@@bangkokgas Kurt is the best
The song was originally composed by David Bowie in one thousand nine hundred seventy, and years later, several musicians covered the song including the band Nirvana in one thousand nine hundred ninety-three, whose performance for MTV Unplugged made it an iconic song tinged by the dark and melancholic personality of Kurt Cobain.
The song was marked as a bittersweet memory when the following year the singer made the decision to end his existence, causing the general public to attribute a premonitory meaning to the lyrics.
I'd sell my soul in the blink of an eye to go back in time and witness this rendition.
Nirvana officially uploads their live in 2020.
WHICH CAME AS A SURPRISE
Zing!
This rock version is as good as the unplugged version. Can't go wrong either way.
for me both versions are ok
I prefer the unplugged but this one is nice to

His screams at the end send a shiver throughout my whole body every time
Rest in peace to this dude. I remember hearing Smells like teen sprit for the first time.
Always will take a part in my heart.
The mic that kurt was singing into was lucky tho
