What a lot of people miss about Serj's singing is his incorporation of traditional Armenian melodies. I grew up singing in the Orthodox church, and you can tell he borrows heavily from Orthodox choirs. Listen to Arials and then follow up with a Greek Orthodox cantor. I have always loved this about his singing.
I just listened to greek orthodox hymns to the mother of God and I can TOTALLY hear it.
Could you link something?
I listen to it a lot at home in Odessa, we had some ethic singing group near my house, such a beautiful ways to put together men voices, was in love with it when I bass a kid. An combined with rock it is perfection.

Classic....when we old we'll be jamming this while others jam some crappy music.
john dolmayan is extremely underrated as a drummer. his rhythmic hooks is what gives SOAD songs life!
@Air Conditioner Moby Dick was pretty good. But yes, I would say he is rated too high.
On November 8 me and my band are performing this in front of our entire high school, I’m the vocalist
Wish me luck 🤞
Really glad to see a new generation discover System of a Down. I saw them on one of their last tours in '06 and it's one of the best performances I've ever seen. Rock on little babies! 🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
I saw them in 2017 wowzaz trousers, fecking brilliant
im 23 nd im just finding this🤯
❤Deeply love this theme❤!!!
Never seen them live but especially this song has been my go too since I was a teenage 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
So GRATEFUL to live through this music history when we were young. SOAD, Korn, Slipknot, Rammstein, RATM, Disturbed, Linkin Park etc.. All at their peak.
❤❤❤Best time
Rock, in all it's forms. Zeppelin, Hendrix, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Gary Moore, Queen, Black Sabbath, White Snake, who ever... jeeez, I don't know, but the slow decay of rock is the slow decay of music. At least in my humble opinion
Fuxk yes you pretty much said it
I was 18 when Nirvana first hit… that was a great time. When Rage, NIN, Foo, then Sytem, Static X, Linkin Park… good times. We had our own classic rock !
Disturbed is garbage music but go off
The drums in this song are just unreal
yeAaaa
23 years after the release and it's still one of the best albums of all time. My personal favorite. 🤘
I love how most of their music videos are like literally the just playing in a little stage and yet they make the best music videos.
The audio is more than enough. They dont need a good music video xd
@@fellapapi6215 not really - they got lots of music videos where videos equal their music and send message
@@mariannairam2218 I don't rlly watch the video so I don't know. I just care about the song
@@mariannairam2218 go to film then. Dont do music if ur music is not enough to tell a story or convey a message
@@Hug0Pro I do paintings and music also i would like to make movies but it cost more than making music or paintings - And music can be improved by video if u dont understand it than you are just closed in your own brain
Soon it'll be 1 billion. Insane
Here before 1 billion!!

I remember listening to this song when I was 13, i'm 34 now and this song still has the same impact that it did.
I love this comment because I also remember listening to this song when I was 13, but I’m 22 now. However, I also agree that it still has the same impact. Great music is timeless.
Were you also born in 1989 haha? Remember having the album when I was 14/15. What’s funny is I love this but also video killed the radio star 😂
Yes I was! @@jameslodge4264
Exactly. I’m your age.
@@jameslodge4264 Me too. 1989. These albums came out at a perfect time for us.
Still a killer hit, sad part is the older you get the more real this song becomes
😦🇧🇷
It is called the Big Bang Theory. It explains everything and nothing at the same time.
keep your head up and stay alert.

Nunca pueden faltar
It's been 22 years😢
And aways will be like mine 10
It used to a music channel called "The Box" and this song got stupid plays back in 2001. This was one of the songs that open my mind to punk rock.
I remember when I was 15, 16 yrs old, this was liquid gold. It still is, but it just hits different when you're a teen
@Hunter Vonnegut what
Facts!! I was 14 when this came out and loved it ever since!
I was 16 when this song released. I had wonderful teenage life.
@Hunter Vonnegut that band sucks
i was 4 when this released, my dad loved it, i love it
Boosting the algorithm with a comment because this timeless masterpiece deserves recognition by today's youth.
Hear hear sir
Everything complements itself sound, lyrics, instruments, even the video
13 years old and i'm listening to this
_____ Anahí - Rumba ft. Wisin -------
I'm 13 and converting all my freinds to 90s and early 200s music 👍
i’ll never get over serj’s voice. so much talent for one person!!
He did a song with Tech N9ne (my usual genre), which is how I started listening to him, and by extension the band.
@@rawx485 was it straight out the gate?, If so, Its actually a really good song
@@coolsHusk yes
@@rawx485 I didn't know that I'll have to check that out.
His solo stuff is pretty good too. He just released a live album with his side band The FCC it's pretty bad ass and I'm not normally into live albums.
This song deserves the 1B
So true.
