About 16 years ago I was on my way to work in London and I used to ride my bicycle in front of BBC studios , in that day the road was closed , I went to the security guard and asked why and he's said that red hot chili peppers were about to do a show live and the whole thing was free , I called sick straight away to work and went to see the concert !!! Memorable moment in my life !!!

One of the most beautiful intros I‘ve ever heard. It‘s not about how „perfect“ a peace of music is, it‘s not about exact technique or anything like that. It‘s about feeling. The vibes between flea and john in the beginning must have been magical. It‘s incredible.
May not be mainstream but theres loads of new cool bands to check out!! Have a listen to shame, heavy lungs and metz. Theyre some of my favourites right now :)
This intro was one of the main reasons I picked up the guitar. One of the first solo’s I tried learning. I couldn’t. I had just started back then. Here I am 5 years later and can absolutely kill it on the guitar. I will tackle this solo later today. Thank you RHCP for changing my life.
"I can absolutely kill it on the guitar." Very humble person, always remember there's still millions of people a lot better than you, and don't be arrogant.

Anyone disliking this intro is devoid of a human soul. John and Flea are genius in their playing, heck Flea has even taken complete courses in music theory so show some respect know nothings who would put it down!
Gotta love how Frusciante improvises his solos live, for both good and bad. He sacrifices consistency for that in the moment magic that can only happen live. Sometimes it's just ok, but when it's really on amazing things happen.
Possibly the greatest live intro of all time. Frusciante is a genius....Flea is a monster! Always loved RHCP...but after watching this years ago...it made understood that they were the greatest band from 90s and 2000’s..hands down.

I was at this gig and I have to say it was magical from start to finish and I was soooo happy they have documented its greatness. Everytime I see it I want to be back in that place/zone. Fruciante sounded like an angel that day, and cemented his genius in my eyes. Highlights are too many to name but this was special particularly the intro. The actual intro of the gig gives me goosebumps every time. They came they saw they rocked they conquered.
Three masters on their instruments, and a great lyriscst/vocalist - kind of a modern day Zeppelin. This particular line-up can do no wrong. Every song at Slane is awesome.
I get emotional when I see John solos this one was easily one of the heaviest. He doesn’t even look at anything. He closes his eyes and like transcends it’s wild.
that intro makes my heart explode and overflow with love and awe of this band, the power of music, and most importantly God and what He created. seriously. it's just beautiful in every way. i'm so grateful that little moment in time was captured on film. love the whole performance.
