So I announced this video a while back, it is here to serve as a gateway into my more in depth content and into the depths of Tamriel's lore in general. Hope you enjoy it! And for my regular viewers who decide to watch, don't worry. More in depth content coming! Last weekends video needed a ton more work, but it is on the second Skyrim Boardgame story. So stay tuned! Videos mentioned in the video: Video on Sea Monsters: th-cam.com/video/TLBqEJ74mW0/w-d-xo.html Video on the Battlespire: th-cam.com/video/WrDDjfGOD94/w-d-xo.html Video on the Gehenoth: th-cam.com/video/AGwg-9e7clI/w-d-xo.html Video on the Painted World: th-cam.com/video/4G1kDSjHWCw/w-d-xo.html Video on the Blackrose Prison: th-cam.com/video/gSj_mIWW_as/w-d-xo.html Video on the An-Xileel: th-cam.com/video/qagt6q2Neao/w-d-xo.html
I had no idea there was a link between the battlespire and the soul cairn. Bethesda missed a trick when writing the dawnguard dlc. Imagine traversing through the ruins of the battlespire to get to the soul cairn, maybe link the story in with the college of winterhold to gain access. Would have been a cool throwback rather than just having a magic portal in the volkihar castle.

I used to watch every video you posted as they came out but I stopped playing the Elder Scrolls for a few years because I felt so burnt out and I recently got back into Skyrim with the creation Club content and some extremely lore friendly mods and I'm revisiting all the channels And watching all this content you posted over the last few years I've missed this is going to be awesome
Great video as always, keep up the good lore videos! I listen to your videos as I play Skyrim, but I find myself pausing the game to watch the video more often than not lol I like your narration style, you take the time to gather your thoughts and explain yourself when needed, which makes it feel like a conversation, if that makes sense.
To be completely honest, I think its slightly more likely Bethesda just skipped over it/forgot about it. It had somewhat big lore implications from Dawnstar, and I think they didnt have time to properly give it its worthy reputation as a night stalking terror (time constraints likely). They *could* have just made a new creature and threw it in the wilds of Dawnstar similar to Trolls, but thats not really giving it its credit of reputation from the Dawnstar game. But either way, I guess Id say it boils down to time crunch. We all know how much got cut from the original game, and how much was immediately pushed aside before even being developed at all. But thats okay I guess, thats what mods are for. Luckily, I *did* happen to find a couple Gehenoth creature mods after I learned about them awhile back. So if you really want you can add them with a mod, and it gives them some rarity to make them more of the rare creepy destroyer like its reputation claims. Unfortunately no scripting or anything to make it more like in Dawnstar, stalking at night and all but nonetheless, a welcome mod if you want to throw in that little nostalgia of an old creature unseen since days long past.
i really wish u makw a vid talking abt The Infernal city *umbral* like the creature , the kitchen idea a pretty short version of the book will be Awesome i have been digging alot abt it and can't find many
Learning that jaeger tharn was imprisoned at the blackrose prison was definitely a surprise for me!! That guy should have been executed on the spot instead!!!
when i first heard about Ithguleoir, the first thing that came to my mind was 20,000 leagues under the sea. ik putting dwemer in everything doesn't make sense. but just think about it. it would be really cool if the ithguleoir is just a dwemer submarine.
I want to know where the castle is in elder scrolls castles and what area the maps show in the war room. If the timeline and events are fixed so that everyone experiences them in the same sequence then i would assume its near high rock because its surrounded by snowy mountains and the decisions you make as king are about a war between the bretons and orcs
I know this probably isn't the place to ask but has anyone made a creature mod for the Gehenth from Dawnstar? I know there is a Gehenth skull trophy mod that puts the final boss Gehenth skull on top of the Dawnstar throne similar to Dragonsreach's dragon skull. (I wish someone would port the Dawnstar skull trophy mod to Xbox)😭
@@tonys9397 Meh a little too much fun tho because about half the mods, especially on nexus, is just a cesspool of soft core to straight up porn. It's so obnoxious, like do these modders (not all) not have any luck dating or atleast have the social skills? Aside from the rant, there are many lore friendly creature mods but somehow not enough to feel satisfied lol. Tbh on the pc end, we are spoiled. When you feel like playing skyrim you don't just play vanilla you go out of your way to spend a few hours to mod the game only to either mess up the game with conflicts or to get so overwhelmed of the amount of content that you just play it for half an hour and move on with your life until you come back and do it all over again 😅
@@_Eric._ thats a good point i guess the 5gb cap mitigates that a bit on xbox but I would love to one day play modded game on pc so i can run multiple big quest mods at once along with the rest of my setup. I agree the naughty stuff is a no go for me. It just to jarring for me

There are spirits in the soul cairn that reference the Battllespire having died there. It's ambient npc talking but the reference is there.
@@arandomgreekfrombactria6302It's true, at least there's that!
Battlespire is already long gone
Its a shame the games never really live up to the amazing lore of TES.

A video on the elnofey wars would be really interesting
I don't want Thalmor or Stormcloaks vs Empire in the next game.
This channel is so amazing, helps me relax before going to bed.

Wasn't the gehenoth killed by the PC at the end of the game?

Paints Fargoth and creates battle Fargoth against Fargoth.
Elder scrolls needs bigger monsters to foght

Fascinating

The sea monster could be some remnant of the Earth Bones that became the ocean
