I'm a newbie and I was not able to get the other short range modes to work, so I used the slave-missile one for dog-fighting. I thought that this was the default way of doing things. Thank you for the educational videos!
dude I was doing the same thing. I always wondered how it looked so easy to other people when i’m struggling to keep a lock.
I spent 2 days trying to do this but I managed 30 minutes after this video so thanks

i got the MiG-29 just a few hours ago and was wondering why ACM modes don't lock. now I Know that i need to press the target lock button, unlike the F-15 that locks the target itself. Thanks CAP!

But how do you like able to shoot it, in the f16 you turn master arm on. What about a low fidelity?
I got the hang of most of the plane’s system in around 3 hours, but I didn’t understand how to use guided guns, so with this I got my first gun kill

Longitude aiming mode I have only used when I got hit by a Sam missile and was still alive but with all my sensors down. Definitely very hard to do, and do not recommend in pvp.
Years ago I remember seeing a SU-27 pilot commenting on the fact the gun has only 150 rounds available. He said the sight was so accurate you only needed 4 or 5 rounds to shoot even a maneuvering plane down. Wishful boasting?
It's true, if you a good shot then just a few HE rounds will blow a plane clean up.

Ammo Counter doesn’t have numbers.
Has a Funnel that can adjust the target wingspan. Cant shoot if leveled.
Still made the enemies of the Soviet Union innovate and make better planes.

Do you mean the HUD and Cockpit? In Options go to "Gameplay" and select "Avionics Langauge" as English. Sorry for the late reply.

Hey guys, I just wanted to mention that this Aircraft is called Su-27, not the S.U.-27.as a native speaker that makes my ears bleed :P
I mean you say also the Mig right, not saying M. I. G... Su stands as you know for Sukhoi.. So please call it like your friends hot ass girlfriend Sue... Not S.U. :)
If this is how the Su works and not an exaggerated mode... This missile truck beast is dangerous... I hope missile to function well coz India haz ditched them for Israeli pythons
I play su27 from 1996 and It make me feel dcs took away all the Air to ground weapons and capabilities the original game had....pure air to air missiles is pretty boring and took alot of the fun the original game had
The Su27 in DCS can use bombs and rockets too.
@@panzerd18 but not all the cool air to ground missiles and in much smaller variety of rockets/bombs

@@lironk1Those old Su27 dont have air to ground radar function to guide missiles....Su30 can do it tho.
@@qiyuxuan9437to my knowledge the su30 was designed on the su27SM model which is the upgraded su27 .
And it can carry also then kh29T/L and kh31a/p and the smart bomb kab500
@@lironk1 Thats correct, but the Su27 we had in DCS is the very old version(probably Su27S, the first production unit) It does not have those features.....I do think that they should make a Su27SM tho, since the blue team got much modern fighters now, the Red team need something new to compete.
