    Your cooling fans are too small. Mishimoto "Raceline" fans. 2 if them move 3600 cfm (cubic feet per minute) I upgraded from those slim fans and solved my overheating problem. I live in Florida and drive hard with ac on. You can feel the suction from the fans a foot in front of the grilles.

    The LS is a better engine anyway. Lighter and more reliable if naturally aspirated. Can make away more power also.

    • @alorrick7546
      @alorrick7546 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      fun note LSx engines do not have an issue with oiling, not one problem at all. ITS HAS to do with the geomatry of the oil pan for 911 swaps and the way the car moves and leans makes the oil go the opposite of what anything "conventional" would use. so an accusump stops the oil starvation because of "unable oil pan design" and sadly packaging. because in the 944 we hold more G's than a 911 and hotter lap times with a standard sump engines, corvettes too and sadly it really boils down to pan design and baffling which the 911 conversion pans jsut simply have not.

    I love Porsches all around. They have amazing engineering and their flat engines are perfectly balanced with a super low center of gravity, but the size and performance-per-dollar makes wayyyyy too much sense with the LS. 911 LS swapped Porsches give the working class man hope!

    I think every single 996 tiptronic base 911 should be used as a hot rod platform for LS based V8s / GM V8s .
    I drove a base 996 911 auto when they were new and it was the most dissapointing car I ever drove . So underpowered feeling and boring .
    But they are still 911s with some potential . The 996 TURBO was awesome . Yes , it had the cheap feeling ugly interior that lost its way but at the time it was a monster street car for turn key usable acceleration with the level of traction.
    Considering how hated the base 996 is and the headlights treated like some kind of birth defect that somehow destroys its look for the classic shape and how awfully underpowered they were and the tiptronic Making it feel like a 6 cyl camary when accelerating . The whole throw out bearing thing and general cost of fixing cars that suck and the ability to fit a more classic front clip with round headlights instead of the fried eggs that people are so disgusted by which Is the tiniest of problems with them as cars but unloved they seem the perfect platform to hack up and be re purposed and given some dignity by giving them some performance with a great V8 .

At the end of the day it's *your* car and there's no reason to appease to anyone else who prefers just another 911 with less power and significantly less grip. It has nothing to do with ego and everything to do with personal passion. And I can tell you that this car gets me *far* more intrigued than another stock 911, especially as there was no skimping out on the build. If it were just another stock classic 911 being driven around, I probably wouldn't have clicked on the video. Seen it many, many times before. And that's coming from a fan of 911's.

Also…no Fe block LS “truck” motors aren’t better for boost - fe block Chevy crate motors? Yeah sure. You can throw PLENTY of SC boost @ an LS3 & decent turbo, if you wanna go 2k whp? Ok get a Nelson racing engine, a Fe big block crate motor OR one of those sick 1 piece CNC machined 6061 aluminum block remakes. My C5Z has been making over 700whp on a mustang dyno w/ an A&A t3 vortech blower for 37k miles….street and track, street to the track & while rolling window down & flying the finger @ porsche/mclaren owners trailering their sh*t home😂😂😂😂

      Yes haha. I didn't say it wasn't good for the street, but impractical. I was mostly pointing to an aftermarket system being a huge cost (like Elvis mentioned), but also the complexity of adding additional components and of course the maintenance that comes with it. For most street cars that aren't insanely fast or track-driven to the limit, it's probably more headache than it's worth.

    Does it matter is it RWB, Singer, GuntherWerks, etc? They are all guilty of cutting up classic Porsches.

      The only way a lot of people could ever even afford a Porsche is if they . Got one that didn't even have an engine in it . Are you of the mind that only rich people deserve to drive nice cars ?

      @@Notasheepleandneverwillbe No one "deserves" anything. And any schmuck with a decent job who's somewhat intelligent with what they have (use some common sense or watch Dave Ramsey a few times) can afford a Porsche by the time they're an adult. If you can't "afford" one build your own like a lot of us do.

    Not very impressive to me. I love 911s. I'd rather use a 5.2L Voodoo engine. High reving engine with a power band similar to a racing 911. Flat-plane crankshaft sound! Like a Porsche engine with 2 more cylinders and cheaper horsepower.
