Spray the engine lid in body colour, take off the Apollo side trim and it looks like any old 996. Well if we’re talking tuning and Porsches, I’ve seen people make stupid power out of the 991 (.1, but notably the .2) Turbo S’ engine. Those 3.8’s are ridiculously capable. Heck, Adam LZ’s 992 Turbo S pushes somewhere near 1,000 HP and quite a good amount of others have their cars doing the same, if not, more than that. It’s just that it will be a little on the costly side, but tuning Porsches are possible. Not many do modifications because people just like to keep their cars the way they do. While I may not be that big a fan of LS swaps in general (more so on a Porsche), people choose what they want to do with their car. Hoovie wanted to LS swap his, others want to keep them simple as is. That’s the beauty of creative differences as we can have differing opinions about them, but we’re glad they still exist.

I have a couple of Porsches and would love that thing.
There are enough porches on the road for no-one to care if are some are modified. Who can't like a swap to a v8?
Awesome video but those tires on the red wide body definitely are not 29” wide lol. 29” would be the height of the tire. Second number would tell the width
Lol it was koo to see someone get creative. I have a 996 but i also love my chevy brothers especially them old schools. 😅
The watercooled 3.6 liters is 190 kg or 418.9 lb. The lightest LS (which you don't have) is 460 lb. So 41.1 lb difference. The air-cooled was heavier though. Any direct comments from the people there? Great video btw.
Interesting! The traditional 5-liter Chevy small block with iron block and iron head weighs 580 Lbs with starter, flywheel, alternator and AC compressor. BBC weighs 670 +/-.
Excellent 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The funniest thing was the amount of time they took looking in disgust. It's like "Eww, that stinks! Wait, let me smell it a few more times to make sure it stinks." (SNIIIIIF) "Yep, still stinks!"
porsche didnt build the dakar version because aftermarket did it before them.. they did it before the aftermarket. we in germany used it to rally and i think it is beautiful
Great video! Remember when Hoovie pushed his Chevy-powered Jaguar into the British car show? 😂
Best Porsche there IMO. The only guaranteed way to make any car better is to put an LS in it.
OMG!!! This was hilarious!! It's like you infiltrated a secret society of Porsche owners!! And your music that accompanied the video is spot-on!!! What a really fun video!!! Thanks for sharing this!!!
