This is honestly dumb. You can in no way compare these games together. They are incredibly different. Different genres. One is a story driven horror adventure action game while the other is an open world story action game. They both have good graphics, both have combat systems that fit their genres and the atmospheres in both are incredible. They are both simply two of the most polarizing games of our generation.

Is it fair to compare and open world sandbox that takes like 60 hours to beat to a linear game that takes 15-20 hours if you take your time? Completely different types of games
I disagree I think the details in TLOU 2 are superior. For Instance blood realistically runs through crack in tiles and floor boards, the clothing has actual simulation, the hair has working physics, the foliage is more dense, the facial expressions and animations are superior, the gun models are more intricate, the character models are higher poly, and the enemy AI reacts to details in the world. I dunno, I think it's a TLOU 2 win for details or at least a tie
@@cain-5094red dead definitely has more details If you go to a cold area the Horse Balls will shrink and Npcs even go to the toilet to pee and poop and the Horse's also react to gunshots or if you punch them they will kick you and you can see Npcs cooking meat they actually cut it and put it in the pan And the Snow and the gore and hair and grass psychic's are on the same level When shoot glass different piece's break Depending where you shot Even guns get dirty over time including clothes and if you go hunting you can see eagles attacking bunny's or other little birds and after killing them they take it to their nest so they can Feed their Young If i had to write down All the detail this comment would go on forever There's also a TH-camr that tested the details of both games and he agreed that red dead was superior

Where they are reasonably comparable. I guess. I draw a line between the words details and features... That's where I disagree with the video you mentioned. Which I have seen. It highlights that red dead has more features. IE the animal systems you mentioned. But. I'm talking more about direct comparison of the details in those features. And red dead takes the cake on alot of that stuff. The horse gameplay, animations and details. The skybox and Cloud rendering The fire spread mechanics. But TLOU imo wins most of the direct comparisons when you just directly compare the mechanics both games features. Rope physics in both games. TLOU is better. AI TLOU is better (this is an understatement the AI is insane and can recognise it you behind bookshelfs and will realistically talk to eachother and plan how to get you. But it's not fair to compare this deeply since TLOU is a linear game.) Snow and Ice physics and interactability, TLOU is better. Character models. TLOU Facial animation TLOU animation systems TLOU Seamless character animations TLOU Looting animations/mechanics TLOU Even the stuff you mentioned about characters and guns getting dirty, that all happens in TLOU. To equal effect. I guess, it's obvious red dead has more features to showcase than TLOU. IE the fact it's an open world game with towns and stuff opens up possibility for AI routines as you mentioned. And if your definition of details is that then yes. Red dead has more detail. But I took it more as comparing not how many features there are, and more as how detailed the features showcased are... And in that case TLOU takes the cake indefinitely.

Both this games are genuine masterpieces even if you don’t like the story choices of the last of us. I’d also give gameplay to last of us because the atmosphere is so strong and so well paired with the gameplay that I actually was able to enjoy the game while playing as a character I absolutely hated. Beautiful games.

@@MILKMAN682 Unlike rdr2, it actually requires strategy and has harder difficulty modes to make the game more difficult as well as the fact that in that game ammo is extremely limited and so you should use guns sparingly and even if you have ammo the Molotov and shit are still very useful as areas are a lot smaller and more enemies are closer together than rdr2. But I am talking about tlou 1 here, I havent played tlou 2, so I dont know if it is the same there, I am actually on RDR2's side of which one is better of the two, (rdr vs tlou 1 / 2) I was just making a point that while rdr2 is very good, I personally find it hard to replay as the story is what really holds it together, and when you already know the story I find that the lack of variation from hide behind cover and randomly poke up, aim over at a dude's head and shoot, repeat like 30 times throughout the story just makes me decide not to replay it by like halfway through horseshoe overlook. Gameplay and atmosphere goes to TLOU 2 I love both games and I accept that TLOU 2's gameplay is just more fluid and detailed, also the atmosphere is brutal, you feel grossed out and a terrible person after killing people in the game, and you feel sad, heavy, angry and scared playing it

However if it had TLOU2 character and npc graphics that would be insane, but not the world .. RDR2 is just superior in the world graphics

I guess, it's obvious red dead has more features to showcase than TLOU. IE the fact it's an open world game with towns and stuff opens up possibility for AI routines as you mentioned.
And if your definition of details is that then yes. Red dead has more detail. But I took it more as comparing not how many features there are, and more as how detailed the features showcased are... And in that case TLOU takes the cake indefinitely.

@@MILKMAN682 Unlike rdr2, it actually requires strategy and has harder difficulty modes to make the game more difficult as well as the fact that in that game ammo is extremely limited and so you should use guns sparingly and even if you have ammo the Molotov and shit are still very useful as areas are a lot smaller and more enemies are closer together than rdr2. But I am talking about tlou 1 here, I havent played tlou 2, so I dont know if it is the same there, I am actually on RDR2's side of which one is better of the two, (rdr vs tlou 1 / 2) I was just making a point that while rdr2 is very good, I personally find it hard to replay as the story is what really holds it together, and when you already know the story I find that the lack of variation from hide behind cover and randomly poke up, aim over at a dude's head and shoot, repeat like 30 times throughout the story just makes me decide not to replay it by like halfway through horseshoe overlook.
