@diamondrush4446 The first last of us was just excellent in every way. Unfortunately the people that work at naughty dog have gone completely woke with it all and Neil Druckmann the main man, who I liked, has admitted on social media and stuff that the series that they made to last of us, was nothing more than woke propaganda, disguised as a zombie/action show, he openly admitted that laughing at people who watched it, the guy is a disgrace now and 'go woke, go broke'. In 2nd game, I don't want to tell you too much just incase you play it, because for the action it is excellent, but they've ruined the story, the 2 protagonists in Last of Us 2, are either lesbian or confused, or a woman built like Arnold Schwarznegger, full on lesbian, gay, trans shit all the way through it, it just seems that's what they're actually making the games about, the propaganda, and disguising them as something else. I've always liked Naughty Dog but I am genuinely done with them now, even their next uncharted game, or one after that will be switching protagonists from Nathan Drake, who is awesome to a female protagonist, his daughter... would you accept playing tomb raider as Lara Crofts son, Larry Croft 🤣

I've played RDR2 for over 300 hours and im still finding things or seeing things i didnt even notice the first few playthroughs on story mode. For example in the town of Annesburg it can actually hail there when it rains and if you change your main characters hat members of your gang comment on it, you can do out of left field things to finish a task in a mission and you get completely different dialog and there literally thousands of easter eggs, tiny injokes and references all over the place you don't notice first time round. I think the fact that TLOU2 is a linear, story based game whereas RDR2 is open world definitely plays a factor. For example, you can’t sink Ellie’s boat in The Flooded City chapter because its 100% necessary to get through it and the game knows that, however, in RDR2, boats aren’t really necessary to the functionality of the game unless you’re a big fisherman or something. Same thing with horses, the horse mechanics in RDR2 are going to be 10x better because the game relies on them for transportation throughout the whole narrative, in TLOU2, horses are only present throughout the first 2 hours of the game, they’re not the main mode of transport, walking is. I think I’m trying to say that comparing these two games is very difficult just because they’re two different types of games with insanely different stories, and how the characters/environments behave is going to be dependent on that story. I'll say that TLOU2 is graphically more polished, but RDR2 has comparable graphics alongside the fact that it has the manage a massive open world map with tons of details and realism in physics and many other aspects. So despite TLOU2 having better graphics and some impressive details, RDR2 is just more impressive to me.
@@carlin2235TLOU 2 isn’t even full open world and has worse physics than RDR2. You can also interact with every single npcs In rdr2, you can explore every single building, you can go to bars and get drunk, you can smoke, eat, sleep, the horses poop, there’s an honor system, npcs react to what you wear and if you’re dirty or not, women hit on you based on your appearance, civilization advances over time, building get made, every single npc has a busy life with a schedule, you can hunt, you can puke and food is spoiled, etc. I can write an entire book on how much better and well thought out red dead 2 is compared to TLOU. Not to mention rdr2 took 8 years to make with almost double the employees working overtime. That shows how much effort they put into the game. Every apsect possible puts rdr2 on top.
Yes, they already did The Last of Us Part II, Zero Dawn, Death Stranding, Battlefield 1, Resident Evil 2 and 3 remake, The Order 1886, Ghost of Tsushima
I feel like splashes are the one thing regarding water physics that video games can't ever do well. The ripples usually tend to look really good but never the splashes.
Not all that impressive. RDR2 is full of dead-space. I've played it for over 100 hours and the majority of the map is just wildnerness- same shit copied and pasted over again.
@@KALESSIN3 Both are great in their own ways, Idk If u mean the game is bad by been boring, but the game feels a lot more natural than tlou2, I mean It's a prequel made with a character that who knows If It was planned by the beginning, but It makes sense and It's even better than rdr1 for most people, while tlou 2 makes It's sequel with a character (Abby) which is the daugther of someone that we didn't even interact with, and the fact that the game lets you kill him like a random npc makes you think that he was not intended to be relevant in the future
What makes the difference for me is that in rdr2 everyone is his own different person, you can't encounter someone who look the same as someone else, in tlou2 some enemies die and you meet them after, like they're stock image enemies, in rdr2 you can't meet a person twice who doesn't recognize you from the last time

The comparison is not fair. based on the fact that they are games presented in different ways, that is why there will be things in which one is vastly superior to the other. For example, the horse in RDR is a much more important element in the story and is more developed. It is clearly better and it is unfair for TLOU 2 to compare it. But for TLOU 2 there is an advantage in swimming, which is more important to its plot than in RDR. Which makes it unfair for RDR. Or with the boat and the canoe, clearly the canoe in RDR is going to be broken because it is an absolutely disposable element of the open world and adds absolutely nothing to the plot. But in TLOU that boat is extremely important to the plot and clearly they are not going to allow it to break or sink because it would not continue the story. For these and other points in the comparison I think it is quite unfair, for one or the other, as the case may be. Clearly in a linear story game without an open world they pay attention to some details and in an open world game others. I consider them to be the 2 best games in terms of realism and detail without a doubt. But giving one the winner is unfair.
rdr2 is a lot more impressive but I don't think it's better like it's so detailed but I don't play games just to watch npcs go about their day or stare at horse testicles
Ok so I think they take different approaches. tlou takes a more movie like approach to art direction while rdr2 just tries to look like real life. Tlou uses a lot of depth of field and the lighting is very carefully placed in scenes for that cinematic look. Rdr2 doesn’t really do that as much unless it’s like cutscenes. Rdr2s light placement isn’t careful or precise, it’s just realistic, regardless of if that lighting looks filmic or whatever. I prefer the tlou approach, but one is not better than the other, they’re just different. Obviously rdr2 is much more detailed due to it being an open world cowboy sim so it benefits from small details like people having routines or crazy water physics much more than tlou does, but I’m just talking straight visuals. Idk why I have so many opinions on this stuff, but whatevs :)
8:29 the sound of the gunshot bouncng off everywhere with echo in this specific place is insane. I think the sound details in rdr2 deserve so much more credit too
This is so unfair, that both of this games are developed buy a high experienced team in 7 years and they only get regular full price, while some publishers like ubisoft just release their games yearly with copying and pasting most of assets from previous games, demanding increased full price, intergrading microtransactions in the singleplayer game and making another lame revenge story, while R* make a story in which we care about our character dying and Naughty dog making very controversial story, where the very hated by players character becomes the one, which they like the same as Ellie or even more and we get to see these 3 days in Seattle from different angle. Those are not AAA games, those are AAA+ games or even AAAA. And if any game deserves 100$ price, it's them
Keep in mind that LoU is a guided experience. Where they have a lot more freedom to make things look pretty. The fact RdR2 is even comparable is very impressive.
@@finn1333 lou2 story is good. The issue is that it was a sequel. They kinda made a game where the story didn’t honor the fans of the original. They could’ve have told the story better while still killing Joel off.

Both games are full of details and are masterpieces, but they're different from each other Main difference is that RDR2 is an open world game, which gives a completely different experience than TLOU2 It's like comparing the best sweet food you've ever eaten to the best spicy food you've ever eaten - sure, both are amazing, but does comparing them make any sense? Their taste might be equally amazing, but they're very different from one another
@@user-2137 Sure but RDR2 also had 7,000 people working on it. TLOU2 had 2000. The fact they're open world vs linear and comparable is not a testament to skill but quantity of workers. imagine if RDR@ had only 2000 or Tlou2 had 7000
@@user-2137It's so true that both are good, of course RDR2 is better, TLOU2 is better. If it were up to me, I would say TLOU2 in every way, but it's still a matter of preference, we should respect the opinions without exaggeration.
Love both, but it needs to be said that RDR2 is much closer to TIE in the categories in which TLOU2 is better. Whereas the other way around, the difference in the physics and the details is greater.
For those saying water physics is the last of us: You can make whirlpools in rdr2 and sink ships with explosions, the water is so much more graphical too
1 tlou doesn't even compare to rdr2 and 2 if you think the snow movement in tlou is nore realistic your high. He's in the upper mountains where snow is ice crystals and falls back into your tracks and barely compacts. Her snow disappears soon as she touched it like it has instant compaction

Every snow in the game is like that. TLOU2 takes the cake for snow. Also if you have played tlou2,you would know that when the horse breaks thin ice, it gradually reforms overtime like in real life.
The fact that RDR2, as an open world game, is being compared with a linear/level-based game that’s also two years newer tells you everything you need to know here. TLOU2 is incredible but rdr2 is one of the best games of all-time.
Objectively going one by one picking which is better 👍🏽 Snow Deformation: RDR2 Water Physics: RDR2 Riding a Horse: RDR2 Glass Physics: TLOU2 Fire Propagation: RDR2 Snow Physics on Tree: TLOU2 Arrow Physics: Tie Swimming: TLOU2 Character Reaction to Cold: RDR2 Boat Details: RDR2 Petting the Dog: RDR2 Riding on thin ice: TLOU2 RDR2 wins 8-5
Riding a horse and petting a dog is a tie, and the boat thing too since tlou is not an open world and if that could be done I think it would damage the experience.
You can compare the stories too. Even the story gameplay of RDR2 is far more vast you can do so many things better gameplay and characters and overall better story.
TLOU 2 has great visuals but they arent as shocking as rdr2 because it is a linear game where devs were able to put more resources into the visuals. With rdr2, they had to create a huge open world with a bunch of side content and still create visuals that are the benchmark today, which is more impressive. The combat in TLOU is better than rdr2 tho.
its amazing how we compare specs, graphics and physics but no one speaks if the modern open world games are good, addictive and worth playing. At least from my point of view, a game is a lot more than photo realistic images. I have the real world for that
This is how i rate the physics and details. Snow Deformation: Both are great Water Physics: RDR 2 (I really love the details TLOU dev put on the wave, where you can see some water splash when the wave hit ellie's body) Riding a horse: RDR 2 (love all the details they put on the horse in rdr2) Glass Physics: Both are great Fire Propagation: RDR 2 (how the fire spread on grass, house and other) Snow physics on tree: TLOU 2 (i love how the snow breaks) Archery: RDR 2 Swimming: TLOU 2 Character reaction to cold: Both are great Boating: Rdr 2 Petting dog: BOTH CUZ BEING ABLE TO PET THE DOG IS ENOUGH FOR ME :D Riding on thin ice: Both (The ice on rdr 2 looks pretty thick compare to the TLOU) BONUS: Gore: TLOU 2
I think what consumers don't understand is the difference between realism and art direction. Yes both games are trying to be realistic but Rdr2 is going for hyperrealism because it's open world. Because of that they are sacrificing art direction to do so. TLoU scenery is trying to convey a mood that's tied to the story. They're both amazing in their own right, Rdr2 takes realism and maybe physiques but TLoU definitely takes Art direction and animation. Which one is more important depends on the type of game that they are, so they're both better at what they are meant to do well.
personally i think tlou approach paid of. The interconnected animations they used enhanced playability so much that the realism aspect didn't take away but even enhance the gameplay. I think that was a major critique for rdr. It looked very well but a lot of things felt slow and "choppy" due to realism. An example of an open world game with strong art direction would be Ghost of Tsushima just so you can picture more accurately what I mean by that.
I'm surprised you think rdr2 felt choppy, or not as interconnected. The dynamic world where everything interacts and gels together is phenomenal. It has art direction; every game has to have art direction, because no game is real life. I think its mood and themes fit the world very well
Both games are great. Technically speaking RDR2 is the most absurd in history, but "better" is very much a matter of opinion. Both games are exquisite.
Last of Us is going to have sharper textures and more attention to minor details due to its linear nature. Red Dead 2 is very impressive for how vast the world is, and the small details are still there. These two are still in the top 5 for best looking games out there right now.

TLOU2’s rope physics is unparalleled though.

Those are not AAA games, those are AAA+ games or even AAAA. And if any game deserves 100$ price, it's them
