To clarify this is not a hotel. We love staying here. Minimum one month rental at a time. Some people are Airbnb in it but run into difficulty is for you when they start having issues.

Exactly I’m use to small nice places lived in $2500 a month San Francisco didn’t come with beach and pool, ect. My total cost including utilities is $625 the beach and gulf of Thailand 🇹🇭 included😆

Construction just starting immediately next door on another luxury highrise called AROM Jomtien on the north side of the building. Be ready to deal with the noise and losing the views over the next few years.

@@spookyblack7526 Just a slight bit of view will be lost when facing the right towards the Pratanak Tower area... no big deal! And that is just a maybe... as that will just depends on how high the AROM building will be and the floor you are renting on the Copa. The beach view will never be lost as this building is practically on the beach road.... and the Copa is one of the higher buildings in that area.
@@spookyblack7526 Arom Jomtien is starting construction next door. It's planned to be a 45 fl tower. If you look down at 4:04 in the video, you can see the site. So, if you buy or rent a place on the north side of the building you'll likely lose a good portion of your beautiful beach/sea view, and gain a wonderful view of the construction project and new tower (if you're into that kind of thing.) If the beach view isn't a priority for you, I'd expect a number of units coming quickly for resale, as well as deals from the developer for remaining units in their inventory as the try to get them sold before the big construction starts.

Great choice James! Very happy for you to find a place to call "home". The price is ridiculous compared to the U.S. Imagine that same condo in Miami??? Easily $3,500 month or more, maybe double that. I would much rather live in Pattaya instead of Miami to boot. I hope to be in Pattaya by end of 2023. Congrats!!! Oh, what was security deposit? Lease term? Is there such a thing as a credit check in Thailand?
Love your positive vibe. Thanks for the kind words. Great idea for another video. No credit checks, I paid 2 months advance rent and $500 security deposit. This owner wanted a year agreement but that’s often negotiable, if you’re willing to pay more rent advance.
@@goodvibetravel So what made you go "all-in" and decide to move there "permanently" vs say doing a 6-month test? All of my friends are begging me to do a 3-6 month test first. I guess there is nothing keeping you from coming back to the U.S., but now that you have been there for a bit, do you really think that you will stay there for good? I just turned 52 and tired of the b.s. here in the U.S. I want to live the rest of my life stress free and happy.
@@toddp.226 I signed a year to get a better price and if I bailed all I would lose is the 2 months advance rent $998 and deposit if I find someone to take over lease I can get all the money I paid up front. I try to practice focusing on all the blessings in my life in the present and live my best life day by day. WOW amazing for the price. Looks pretty tiny inside the 1br but you are right.. with access to really nice pools and gym..it makes up for it. I am retiring soon in PH..but I am wide open to travel anywhere. This really just changed my mind. I'll have to at least visit TH as retirement prospect.

OK here’s the thing .. The Higher up you live the worst the Pollution is , Even walking around out side on the Streets pollution is so bad people are now covering their Nose and mouths at times when its very Bad , The smog is thick in certain conditions, So If you suffer from Asthma or have breathing Difficulties dont Buy a Condo in a High Rise. Its Cheap for a Reason and that Reason is because of the Smog. Stay on the Ground there are Places to rent for Cheaper with community Gardens and Pools, elsewhere….
I had the same problem in Costa Rica when living close to San Jose. Lots of pollution from cars due to enormous traffic jams and then there was volcanic ash and minor earthquakes (3-3.5). Not the Pura Vida they want to sell.
I finally left.
Very interesting! I never really thought about the smog issues in either Thailand or Costa Rica. Is the smog in Thailand seasonal, or is it a Year Round thing?? And I guess the same question for Costa Rica.....is it Year Round??
@@georgeandy6923 In San José and the surrounding neighborhoods the smog was constant, especially mornings and evenings, people going and coming from work in their cars. Streets were choked, bumper to bumper. It stunk. The volcanic ash came from active volcanos. It left a grey ash on everything. No opened windows until the rains came. During these small earthquakes, my building would sway slightly. The west coast had at least one 6.0 earthquake, luckily in a sparsely populated area.

Costa Rica was one of the places that I was considering for retirement, along with Thailand, Panama, and possibly Brazil. I am looking forward to Dia Davies reply about Thailand. Do either of you have any info on Panama and Brazil in terms of Pollutants and Air Quality??
@@georgeandy6923 I definitely consider Panama a step down from CR. I have not been to Brazil, but they are all 3rd world countries with extraordinary poverty. It is difficult to be around it.
You must also consider the limitations of their medical systems and the need to speak some Spanish or Portuguese.
My wife and I lived there 4 years, but eventually the negative outweighed the positive.
There are many videos on TH-cam about retiring in these countries. Study them, especially the ones where folks were living there and decided to leave.
Hmmm Jomteim Beach recently expanded with sand dredging previously had issues with sewer overflows/discharges during heavy rain. Don't swim after rain. I'll be there soon yaay!
On saying that there was stormwater upgrades going on over the last few years so that issue might be improved.

Nice vid...Place looks amazing and amenities great. So whats the sound insulation like in the building? I usually prefer the older style buildings becasue the walls are thicker. But thinking about trying a newer place this year for my six month stay. And just a note about the sound levels on your video.... but I'm sure youve already noticed the.voice and music sound difference.

Very nice video, and a Great Condo! And yes, although the unit is small, the building's amenities make up for it. Is the Market that you showed very large, and is it where one would buy food and provisions? Also, how far is it to the City Center, and how expensive is it to get there??
Yes it very large you could eat there every night and buy fruit and goods you would need to go to market for supplies which is $2 bolt ride to store it’s like a Walmart. Downtown pattaya is 15 minutes and cost $3 to get there by bolt and 50 cents if you take a baht bus 🚌

Just walk in and ask at the reception. This means that if you are coming over... then stay at a hotel first... and then look around and arrange where you will stay!
