I have an issue related to the smart pad on the Rodecaster pro 2, I have added a poem on that pad that I will need to run from time to time on my podcast shows, however after I recorded that into my adobe Audition on my desktop, and then play it back the sound was bouncing up an down as if there is an effect running in the background (e.g. Noise gate) although it's not the case, why is that happening, does it have to do with the signal/sound rate on both the RCP and Audition or what?
These are the multitrak channels of the rcp2: 1+2 main outpout 3-4-5-6- mic 7-8 - Bluetooth 9-10 - Smartpads 11-12 - usb Main 13-14 - usb Chat 15-16 - usb Secondary Usualy i use only the rcp2 with multitrack for almost everything, stream, voiceovers, music, shows, podcasts, etc. Hope this helps.
QUESTION I have been hearing people having issues with latency on the headphone monitoring while filming live. We are starting a podcast, and the idea is for this one device to solve all our problems. I was thinking of actually getting Rodecaster Pro 1 instead because, from looking at it online, it seems bugless and without the latency issue and it is also 200euros cheaper than the Rodecaster Pro 2. For that difference we can get 2 dope mics for the setup. So what do you say? Is the latency issue fixed with the 2. And if not, would you recommend the Pro 1 in our case (where money is also a factor) or is it just too outdated for the Pro 2. We were also looking at the Zoom Podtrak P8 since it's also cheaper than Pro 1 here but people have been comparing it with Pro 2 and it also provides 6 channels for bigger panels. What would you say Caddac, we need help deciding? :D
PS I just recognized your face. I watched your video on how to migrate my OS to my new SSD a week ago :D 2 useful videos in a week found randomly, doesn't happen often. Subscribed.
Honestly, didn't even know there was a latency issue and I definitely don't experience it at all. Is there a particular situation it's supposed to happen in? I found test it out. But after over 3 months of using this thing every single day for streaming, my TH-cam videos, and just general computer use I can say I haven't experienced any latency on the headphone monitoring.
Just your headphone? Is the recording showing both stereo levels on the audio track? Does the mixer show a mono channel or both stereo channels in the levels?
The Duo is my main recommendation if people don't need the 4 in/out of the Pro II. It's such a great little device, all the same except for the number of pads and in/outs
what is the purpose off having the rode streamer x if you still need too use voice banana ????? explain cant the audio just rout i seen others that set this up they dont need that thats just too much i am not following your example too setup my rode streamer x
You don't need to use it, I just prefer using it. The RODE products have a limited number of virtual channels at the moment so I use VM to have additional channels that I manipulate separately.
Why would anyone have to speak about this specifically in tandem with a PS5? This isn't designed for game streaming and if you watched the video I explained exactly how you could use this with a console. Any mic routing to the console is always an issue and there are ways around that but I don't play online games on the consoles I use with it. If you want a similar product to this or the Duo but you prefer it be game focused look at the StreamerX amzn.to/3S4RBNl
mannn!! that backchannel is what I need. nice instruction on your use case, thanks brother!

And I'm glad you're finding my videos helpful!
My headphone is playing one side when recording. Pls how do I set it up to play both, stereo maybe. Thanks

cool, not using unify? i just bought streamer x, might return, i did not need a all in one, and no 4k 60 capture. either duo or pro 2.
The Duo is my main recommendation if people don't need the 4 in/out of the Pro II. It's such a great little device, all the same except for the number of pads and in/outs
so it is all the same except for inputs? thanks!@@_Caddac
@@_Caddac But in the RCP 2 you can feed in Alert Sound on XLR 3+4 (Stereo Linked) from the Soundcard.
But you don't need to do that, you can use virtual channels for it.
Rode is planing to add more virtual Channels accordnig to their Discord
