Notice how when Raiden gets the sword knock out of his hands the lyrics stop but when he gets the sword back they come back in idk about you but that's good symbolism right there. look at the lyrics of "It has to be this way".
Same thing with the jetstream Sam fight in file 06 I believe. It shows that that sword connects the ties of those 3 as characters. Beautiful game.

I’ve suffered in an inescapable chamber of trial and error for 7 monotonous hours to beat him with no damage only to not recieve the achievement because of the previous battles that hit me. I really don’t want to do it any longer

He's more akin to Senator John MaCain than anything. Their heads are similarly shaped and John MaCain is an infamous warmonger and career politician. They were also both in the armed forces. Funny story, on my PC that debris throwing attack is affected by the lag (I still get smooth gameplay it's just a little laggier than usual) but if I bring down my resolution it gets better, so the optimal Armstrong strategy for me is to make game look worse.
That, is the point of low settings on games...

For me it's the opposite - much easier with a mouse. When I first fought him, I actually was switching from a gamepad to a mouse during the debris throwing section

I wish there was a Way to use Raidens fists outside of the Boss fight.
It’s pointless, concerning it’s a hack and slash game where you’re obligated to take out multiple enemies who are shooting at you. And you have to dismember the borgs for fuel cells etc.
Besides, it probably won’t be as effective. If the HP blade takes a several slashes to kill an enemy, imagine how many punches it’ll take to kill them.

Most people say the sword sequence is impossible with KBM. How'd you manage it?
@@WickedFamix For me is more impossible on controller than with mouse. I usually use high DPI and control my mouse only using wrist, because i dont have much more space on my desk so i try to minimalize movement but still get the results i want. I guess using that for long years just grew on me.

So wait, on 7:26, you went into the parry stance, yet that attack still hit you into a specific QTE as if you weren’t parrying. Is it because of the precise parry window?
This attack its just QTE startup, you don't get damage from that, it doesn't matter if you block this or parry - only dodge works, but still this startup attack don't do any damage. And also if you hit his arm while doing this you get this QTE in different way and that give you chance to do more damage to him. Just like 4:44 , its the same QTE startup but in different way.

This is Senator Armstrong segment, Metal gear has his own. The entire last mission is divided by 3 segments: Normal area with enemies, then Metal gear then Armstrong. Each one of them is rated separately.

What I would love is a remake of this fight where Armstrong doesn’t have his nanomachines, so he’s a completely normal man, a buff man, but a normal man regardless. So after you bring down Excelsor, Armstrong reveals himself, just to get dunked on by Raiden.
to be fair, doing the fight no damage is almost mandatory in Revengeance difficulty, since EVERY SINGLE ATTACK KILLS YOU IN ONE HIT, even at 200%, the only way to take damage and not die is by blocking on phase 2

Hello! Here to answer your question! So basically in revengeance difficulty, QTEs massively increase the damage done. While in lower difficulties, the damage from QTEs are lesser.

@@stardust6777 Not just qtes. Any “counter” hit will do massively increased damage. Not all qtes do this, only “counter” ones like the two in phase 3.
Nanomachines didn't reach his chest on time while raiden was electrocuting him with his electric hands, so he had to take in all the damaging punches (Raiden also had a damage boost from anger as well)

You need to pick them up to get BP otherwise you dont get enough points for S rank.

I think you just need to survive until it triggers
on higher difficulties you need ot either:
damage till 95%
survive 2:30 mins
after eithwer happens he just forces the next phase, problem here is that you cannot parry him if you want to do a no damage run(his attacks go thru your parry) so the best way to go about it just run away til you time out

Hey so to get the achievement do you have to no hit phase 1 - 2 - 3? Cause I managed to no hit phase 3 once before but I never got the achievement.
If so how the hell can you no hit his second phase without getting hit to trigger the cutscene? I never knew how to do that.
Its shown in the video, you just have to run and after i think 2 minutes? It should trigger by itself.

Don't know i usually play with keyboard and mouse for like 20 years+ but whenever i try use controller (someone else - because i don't have mine own) in every game i just so bad i can't do anything.

@@roatninthethird Yeah i get used to higher DPI i feel more in control with it but most of my friends use much lower DPI and telling me its harder for them to use high like me. I guess everyone need to find what is good for them. I definitely prefer high DPI no matter what kinda game is that.

You just need to get in on the angle they are on, you don’t necessarily need to connect all the boxes (at least from my experience), the boxes only help you angle it right

its the dodge move, you can purchase it in the customization screen. you gotta press X + □ (idk what you would have to press if you play with xbox controller/keyboard)

When red mark on enemies appear, your enemy starting to attack you, you got nearly 2 seconds to parry that attack
Press any arrows keys and light attack to perform block attack, if you're doing perfect block by block that attack nearly 1 second, Raiden will attempt to do counter attack or repeatedly spam light attack, it's gave a chance to counter attack (remember where enemy attack you, press arrows keys that infront of your character)
ex:
If your enemy attack from behind, press DOWN arrow, if your enemy attack from left side, press Left + UP as same time then press light attack button"

Simply using move called Defensive Offensive. Once you unarmed this move is replaced with those flips.

Okay, It's been a while since I did Armstrong on Revengeance, so it might be my memory, but did Army really loose THAT much health from the QTE on Revengeance.
I understand that parrying is godlike since most attacks can instakill you so they do the same when you parry them back at the bossed, but buffing the QTEs seems ridiculous.
The damage boost from QTEs are more the higher the difficultly
Revengance = Best Damage
Easy = Lowest Damage

Very Hard is probably the lowest because Armstrong’s health is the highest while you still don’t get the boost.

This Fight is nothing but stupid, especially the 3rd Phase. Almost every time I get hit is when he splits the area and then either pushes me back into the flame walls or uses His explosion, with a range too high to run away from it as long as the walls are still active. It has a reason this is the only thing Standing between me and a highly deserved platinum trophy
