It comes down to this Raiden’s Katsujinken (sword of justice) vs Jetstream Sam’s Satsujinken (murdering sword) Now I know why Sam spared Raiden back on the Train in Africa, like Raiden, Sam tried to take down World Marshal HQ, both defeated LQ-84i and the redesigned Metal Gear RAY, but Sam was defeated by Armstrong, then he decided to join him until he could find a worthy opponent someone who did the same things like he did, a vigilante who fought against injustice and succeeded at taking down World Marshall, but also the Winds of Destruction. In order to enact revenge against Armstrong and that’s when I remembered when before Armstrong and Sam fought, and Deja-Vu Raiden said the same thing when he used Sam’s HF Blade In the last battle of the game.
+Chaosian01 Looking back on this fight, in retrospect I'm quite unhappy with it, and have been planning to redo it for quite some time. I had been chipping away at this endeavour for a good hour, and when I finally beat him I was quite exhausted and figured "eh, good enough". The luck definitely came into play when he let me parry him like three times in a row off the bat. Since then, I've come to understand the fight against Sam better; I know of more attacks that you can parry, I know his AI patterns a little better, and I've worked on some ways to air juggle him (though without any skills bought, this may not be possible). Ideally I'd like for him to throw everything he's got at me in one fight, every move in his book, including the rocks, but even then I'm conflicted as to whether or not I should at least hand myself Defensive Offensive. Running circles and jumping isn't really as impressive as well timed s in response to a yellow attack, even though Sam can still kinda hit you in midair with his yellow charge. But no upgrades is no upgrades, and for whatever reason Defensive Offensive is an upgrade, instead of a default move at the start of the game.
This fight is one of the best at MGSR and it works wonder if u know what att u can or cant parry also not saying the video is bad or what BUT he is quite lucky i see some attack u can parry and he spam block also sam not use the rock attack at this video which is lucky cuz that attack is one of the bullshitest attack he have that can ruin many ppl no dmg run

@@nl7458 that rock attack sucks ass. I was doing a hitless run like this and I’ve had several runs that get down to 15% and he throws that at me and I lose the run instantly. Austin Harriso Thanks, I could've done better though. There's a couple other attacks you can parry but since I'm just spamming block I never get a chance to do so. To be fair I didn't learn about the other parryable attacks until quite some time later though.
The fun part is that you nearly can't beat him on revengeance with damage because 1 of his slashes deal 65 damage, and the unblockable charge attacks oneshot you if you have 140 hp (you can have that much hp if you don't have upgrades that come after jetstream sam dies)
That is if the player chooses to weaken the Sword's existing Level 5 attack to 0 Also, they'd have to go through the pain of going through the entire campaign to find all 5 men in boxes without upgrading their weapon once
