    Great video. I got these for my SW MP 12. I didn't know about changing the rear sight to the larger aperture until I saw your video. Much appreciated!

      If you got flip up sights on a budget priced rifle it certainly wouldn't be magpul sights so you'd still have to purchase sights anyway unless you want garbage sights in my opinion magpul has the only sights that are worth the money and are superbly dependable which is why most rifles doesn't have them installed from the factory they know that you'll need them and you'll purchase the product you love and putting them on before hand is a massive waste of money and if they bought quality sights you'd have to pay more for them than if you purchased your own set to begin with

    Nice! I’m using Kriss USA metal folding sights bought on Primary Arms. They are adjustable without tools and affordable

    Have the MBUS Pro's which are hard to deploy. Not impossible, but if I ever needed BUIS I'm expecting to not have time. This is the perfect balance of sleek and deployable, gonna grab a pair

  • @semlohde1
    @semlohde1 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Thanks for the closeup. Your pointing out the metal is more expensive - they are WWAAYYY more expensive. I bought a M&P10 308 and they have that rail on the front gas block. This PRO version has priced themselves out of my range. I put my money on a nice red/green dot and would put a scope on it before bowing to their extortion.

    Your rear sight is wrong. When folded down it should match the smooth Contour above the charging handle. The aperture should be flush with the end of the receiver. This is why Magpul shaped them this way

    i just got the MBUS3 Rear sight on my Ruger 556...it looks almost the exact same as the ruger one that came with it...only reason i changed was because my buddy was firing it and didnt notice that the bolt holding it to the rail fell out and got lost in the dirt...60 dollar mistake

    Ill never buy another magpul sight. Bought the mbus 3 rear sight for my mil spec version of the psa sabre and its so tight that I cannot slide it on to the rail. Idk if I was unlucky and got a defect but it absolutely will not go on. First time buying a magpul sight and it has completely soured me to ever buying magpul again. Probably going to buy a Troy metal sight and be done with it. Not worth the headache just so it can be a "convenient" plastic sight....yeah I'm still angry about it haha

      Had the same issue getting the rear one on to my Sabre as well. I put a cloth over the sight and placed the sight over the desired picatinny slot and banged it in with a rubber mallet. Did the trick. I did slightly damage the right side of the polymer teeth during my attempts to force it on some of the plastic chipped away. So be aware of that. I probably would get the steel ones that the side comes off on if I could do it again. But they are on, functional and not going anywhere.

    Anyone know how "similar" the M-BUS 3 front post is to the Pro's front post? We'd like to replace the front post with tritium but not if it's a different animal than the Pro sight post.
