My Gen 2 MBUS sights require left windage 2-3 hash marks, leaving very little room to adjust. It’s a new Daniel Defense M4V7, so I’m assuming the sights are the problem and not the rail or barrel. Did you have this experience with the Gen2 ?
Bought these for my Sport 3. They were really stiff out of the package, but they loosen up after opening, collapsing, and changing several times. My Sport 2 came with Gen 2s. At first, I missed the side levers, but I’ve adjusted to leaving them in up position with red dot.
FYI, ALWAYS get the black color sights for iron sights. Light scattering off of light colored sights will render the aperture(peep) sight less effective.
What are they made of? I've broken every set of Mbus 2's that I've used. Love the one set of Mbus Pro's I've got. I'm interested in giving these 3's a try, but hesitant if same polymer as the 2's.

I have the MBUS 2 rears on three rifles with regular mil type front sight base, and MBUS 2 front and rears on rifles with a rail out front. I like the "wings" for deployment. I have these set up to co-witness with the "circle-dot" reticles of Holosun dot sights. But also on scoped rifles which have QD mounts if a scope failure of some sort, so still have sights. These have served me well! I haven't had an opportunity to try the MBUS 3's yet, but perhaps soon.
@@ytuploads9742 Not in my experience with the Holosuns. I zeroed the Magpuls first at 50 yds, before mounting the Holosuns. Then before shooting, adjusted the Holosun so that the dot was just on top of the front sight post when looking through the rear Magpul's aperture. Very close. Only a few clicks needed to get the Holosuns zeroed. Then looking back at the Magpuls, Holosun off, the groups shot with Magpul only was right on. Same zero process with my other Magpul/Holosun equipped rifles.

Glad this came out. Looking at getting some sights I couldn't figure out what the differences were between all of the different sights on the magpul website.
I love everything about this design except that I can't find a tritium front sight post that will work with them. The gen 2 used a standard A2 post of which there are a couple high quality tritium replacement options. Does Magpul or anyone your aware of make a replacement tritium front sight post option for the gen 3 mbus?

Just sighted in my MBUS 3 in FDE and I’m extremely satisfied. Super low profile and let’s me mount the rear sight along a holosun 510c with magnifier on the upper receiver. 😊😊😊❤

I’m ticked about these mb3. The front sight pops my thumb so hard it’s painful and I have arthritis. $95 down the drain, love my mb2 which have side button.
Need advice here. I got mbus front and rear sights today and realized I mixed them up. Can I still use them? It’s gen 3 rear and regular mbus front. Does the thickness difference matter when zeroing later?
You know what would have been nice? If you made the front sight post alignment slot match the mbus pro. Aftermarket posts like the blitzkrieg components with the triangle or blade post don't align properly because your turned the alignment hole about 45 degree. Thanks for that.
The Mbus is harder than a mo-fo to adjust. I do mean crazy hard. Also they tick marks on the rear sight, it's harder than a mo-fo to see the center line. You'll take the skin off your thumbs trying to turn the know on both sights. Now that's harder than a mo-fo to turn.
Hey Magpul. Just an idea....How about you guys getting with LWRC to market a 6.5 Grendel off of their Six8 platform. Then you guys can modify your Six8 mags to load Grendel.

The clip base is made poorly! I cracked 2 of this model ( rear only ) by trying to mount them on my Black Rain AR-15 Aluminum flip up sights from now on for me. Feyachi beat the MBUS 2.. or 3 hands down in durability, and it is priced right!🤝
I bought a set, didn’t even open the package. Sent them back they are just to wide and look stupid. I was expecting them to be more like the size of the mbus pros.
$100 for the pair is still too much for me. Should be closer to $60 for the pair and I'd start putting them on my rifles. I just buy reliable optics for now.

Getting rid of the wings is huge. I've had hand guards the MBUS2's wouldn't deploy on because of those wings. Well done.

Pros are the best out there, they are my backups. You guys make a great product in steel.

If you zero irons through an optic, most likely the zero of the irons will change if you dismount the optic.

Glad this came out. Looking at getting some sights I couldn't figure out what the differences were between all of the different sights on the magpul website.

I just got my MBUS 3’s and the rear sight is flawless but that front sight is ridiculously tight and VERY difficult to adjust. Any pointers?
