      I have a fact for you. I don’t know if it’s character specific, but if you take your opponent’s last stock with Hero’s Fully Charged Neutral B, then pause while the final hit effect is happening, the pause menu will lag like crazy, and changing what is highlighted blue on the pause screen takes much longer than normal. I know this fact is a little long, but I find it odd. I think it’s because there might be too many hitboxes on screen.

      According to the wiki, ICs traction is suppose to increase while on ice but I can't see the difference.
      The difference is much more noticable in brawl and melee

    In world of light, does the “Status effects from items last longer” option on the skill tree increase the time for spirits that cause status effects like the great zapfish spirit?

      I think it means for things like the Ramblin' Evil Mushroom and Lip's Stick. The status effects that boost you, such as the Super Mushroom, are called "Transformations".

      Frost Sprite it does increase the time for those items, but I’m wondering if status effects from spirits also have increased time.

    Kirby automatically loses his copy ability when using up all of his moves an example is Inklings ink. When all the ink is gone Kirby automatically loses the ability.

      hero's copy ability, however, doesn't go away because mana replenishes automatically.
      edit: I've never paid attention whether kirby gains mana for hitting opponents or not

      This is another neat little detail because that's what happens for Kirby in his usual games when getting a move that has limited use, such as Mike or Crash.

      Most likely around the 9 billion billion mark as I'd assume the variable used to track the time is a 64-bit value. If it's a 32-bit value, it will instead go up to around 4 billion.

      I imagine they capped it at 99:59.58. Hopefully.
      At least, that's how it noamally works in SMM2. (And yes, a time above 500s _is_ possible to register because of checkpoints.)
      We may never know, though, because 2 billion frames at 60fps is over a year.

      Hewo again! I tried the stuff you said, And boss galaga could not grab mario out of the beetle in time. For the next one, I may just suck with frame perfect inputs, but Beetle could not grab mario out of boss galaga either.

      @@0oh_no I tried this! With beetle, It carried mario upwards a bit before he fell back down. with boss galaga, metroid let go before boss galaga started carrying mario upward.

      I think it has something to do with the grab invincibility you get after being thrown or grabbed. For example, you can’t throw a fighter into Galaga.

    If the beetle doesnt affect opponents that have had a size change, then what about if u start with a spirit that makes u big? when the duration wears off, will u be completely immune to the beetle for the rest of the match?

    Random Fact! If you pick Kirby and falco, and inhale falco, then jump down to the blast zone to where the magnifying glass appears, and inhale falco so you get his ability, Kirby will disappear from the magnifying glass; for whatever reason this doesn’t happen with other characters.

    This might be obvious, but I think the flower is a moving hit box that stays on your head, so that is why it does not work through the super star and kaclang, but curse does.

    So what I think is happening w/ the size change is two things.
    1. There is a difference between changing sizes and reverting sizes.
    2. Becoming large is unproportional to becoming small.
    So if you end up getting the mega mush and become mega and then get the poison mush you are not in fact "becoming" mini like you would if you were to grab the poison mush while normal size, but instead "reverting" to your normal size. The same is for the reverse.
    Now we know from special smash that when everyone is mega they're the same size if they were to grab the mega mush however if they grab the poison mush they're smaller than normal size.
    This is because I think the mega form is the new normal and grabbing the poison mush is no longer "reverting" the effects of mega but instead making you become mini as usual. From this we can tell that becoming mini is unproportional to becoming big. I assume the reverse is true too. If you were to do special smash with everyone mini and grabbed a mega you would be still much smaller than normal in fact you would probably be smaller than if you were to grab a poison mush while mega.
    This is really interesting because it leaves 5 different sizes that you can be at. Normal, Mega, Mini, (Spec)Mega>poison mush, (Spec)Mini>mega mush.

      There is a reason for this (and a little math). If you touch a Super Mushroom (in Normal Smash or Special Smash), your character is 1.7 times bigger (and not 2.0 times bigger as we can imagine!). Poison Mushroom precisely reduce you to half your size.
      If you play in Tiny Smash and grab a Super Mushroom, you should be the same size as if you play in Mega Smash and grab a Poison Mushroom. If not, this means the size of the characters in Special Smash in not related with the items.
      Also: regarding the Lightning bolt, it shrink opponents the same as poison mushroom, however the backfire effect that enlarge your opponents makes them 2.4 times bigger!

    if your on the Midgar stage and you turn hazards on, go to the water section and use Bowser's final smash. it stops time and the water animation freezes

      Take the Ancient Armor for instance, it has a comically large hat, so it could throw the enemy off

    In Sm4sh, the attacks from Shulk's Final Smash were treated as throws. Thinking this is the same case in Ultimate, maybe throws do more damage to Bowser Jr. in general.

    A thing I descovered:
    Simon's Holy Water, Plant's Side-B, and non of Zelda's specials get effected by the wind in Stage Builder.
    A question:
    What happens when Shulk has a neutral special spirit? Will the effects get more powerful, do they last longer, or does it do nothing?

    Here is a fact about how Puff's Rollout is affected in terrain.
    In SSB4 (may also be in Melee and Brawl, but I am not sure), Rollout had a special effect where the move turns much faster in grass terrain, but icy terrain completely prevents the ability to turn the move.
    In Ultimate, they removed the grass terrain effect, but kept the icy terrain effect... for some reason.

    I believe the inhales of Kirby, Dedede, and K.Rool also work like Wario’s chomp: just don’t work on enemies who have a bigger size multiplier than you. I know there were a few times in WOL where I tried to suck up a foe with the Blunderbuss only to fail because they were slightly bigger than normal

    The Cruel Smash timer thing is likely intentional to prevent the use of pausing as a means of getting your bearings or planning your next move. By doing this, you arent able to cheap out a really high score with a really short time by pause buffering or such (essentially a blunt force frame-by-frame method, since camera controls are disabled likely for that very reason). Even though this is such a minute detail that probably wont ever matter in pretty much every situation, it's nice to see how much effort the developers put into tiny details like that. (That is kinda the point of this whole series, after all)

    Fact: This is a visual animation, but if you do Duck Hunt's smash attacks in 1/4 speed you might notice that he is actually scared of the bullets.

    It’s quite hard to do, but if you go into training mode and pick hero and Pichu, give Pichu a metal box, jump with hero and start charging your neutral B, if you fire the second level charge fireball at the right moment, you will see that it is actually made of two small fireballs, not on medium sized one. Only one of them will hit and the other will fly right over Pichu. You need the metal box because Pichu will get knocked back by the first one into the second.

    So I haven't done much testing on these 2 random facts but for number 1, you can chain grab sandbag in the team setup option when testing spirits or when testing your controls, he has no timer for grabs. Number 2, I tried this once but ridley down special cannot kill giga bowser, I've done it a couple of times for the final hit but it wouldn't kill him. Don't know if its the same for other bosses.

    if bowser uses his final smash on a big stage like palutena's temple, he becomes bigger than normal and his punch covers a huge part of the stage

    In spirit battles where you take sudden damage you can bypass it with a well timed throw. I have tested it in Tabuu's spirit battle with a back throw with Mario

    Rapidly clicking the Discord icon at the top of your server list eventually makes it say "Discordo!", which will then be your startup noise until you turn it off. To turn it off, rapidly click the Discord icon again.

    @PKBeats about ROB's final smash, I can only surmise that the game works as such when dealing with rob
    Player pressed neutral b input
    Does player have charge? if yes; fire laser, reset charge level.
    Does player have final smash? If yes; use final smash.
    By this logic, in can be thought that the game does a check for laser charge BEFORE doing a FS check, thus resulting in the max level charge going to "level 2"

    Discord fact: pressing the home button (the one for the DMs) 15 times in a regular beat activates "discordo" which makes an anime girl say discordo every time you boot up discord. This can be turned off through the same method.

    I have some random facts
    In World of Light, as Pokemon Trainer you can run around as the Trainer
    But in classic mode, you play as the last pokemon you win with in the ending credit mini game because PT is not able to pick up items nor does he have animations of fire guns

    If you get the watch item when Piranha Plant uses its Final Smash, it’ll slow down Petey Piranha too.
    Also, if you do this and get the effect where both you and the Piranha Plant are slowed, then get another watch the slows down Piranha Plant again, Petey Piranha will eventually return to normal but Piranha Plant will still be slowed for a while.

    fun fact on youtube (pc) while watching a video, if you type out the word AWESOME, then the progress bar will flash rainbow colors. (the flashing is minor, but there is an epilepsy warning) to reverse the effect, just type awesome again

    RANDOM SMASH FACT: If you are in training mode and you make the CPU spam smash attack than you can footstool them and the animation of the CPU doesn't change, so you just jump kinda weird in the air. (I tested this with me being Banjo and the CPU being Simon)
