The video was worth watching a second time. I never noticed the artic coming out of the small lane you went down that had been flooded and closed. Good job you didn't meet him coming the other way!

Am I havin` a senior moment 🤔 never mind. That`s gotta be the best looking Interceptor on U-tube, and I know what you have decided to do to it BUT I just don`t know how you can do it. It`s just a lovely looking machine. Can you just not get another one a couple of years old to work your magic on...and keep that one as it is.

@Snapper2110 It's just a modern Interceptor, just one of thousands! I am not doing anything radical to it and nothing that cant be reversed!😁

You can tell I`m not a "spannerist" VB. It will only be excellent, of course it will, I was never one for changing the look of a bike (except for a couple of re-sprays), but I think all your followers are looking forward to the transformation.@@Volcanicbrown1878
Thanks for sharing your experience with Royal Enfield - it is wonderful to hear that they take such good care of their customers around warranty issues. Too bad about that oil pump chain - obviously a component failure, and hooray for having a slipper clutch on the bike when the engine seized!
@seayak I can't find any fault with RE's aftercare and warranty, which they take very seriously indeed. They realy do stand by their products!

@garryclarke-kray4071 It's fitted with Enfield precision silencers from Hitchcocks and a DNA air filer. It's got the baffles fitted at the mo,😁

What was the score with the warranty? You said you had done your own servicing?
@1gp100 Makes no difference if you service it yourself, as long as you use recommended oil and genuine filters

Did you get a replacement engine with the SAME Engine Numbers on it as your old one ?
@ianwoollard9008 No, first thing I checked when I got the bike back! Every time a new ecu was fitted, the mileage was erased. I queried it and they told me that it's the ecu that stores the mileage, not the speedo head, which is good if you have to fit a replacement speedo. New or used!

No sorry....... i wasn't talking about the Speedo or ECU, i'm wondering if your new Engine Cases have the SAME number stamped on them as your Original Engine Cases so it matches the VIN on the Frame and your V5 (Log Book) ? 🤔
@@ianwoollard9008 No, different number, had to send V5 off to get it changed.
@@Volcanicbrown1878 Oh that's not good because most people only buy a bike because of Matching Numbers. It has devalued it.
I follow another TH-camr across the pond who works for a H-D Dealership. It was the same scenario where a new engine was required under warranty but Harley-D sent out a pair of cases with the SAME Numbers as the OLD ENGINE along with a box of parts to rebuild it.
@@ianwoollard9008 They still match! The engine number in the V5 matches the bike! There is no record of the engine ever being replaced and besides nobody cares about numbers on new bikes, only relevant to the old bikes ie original Interceptors, Triumphs, BSA's etc etc. I have no plans to sell the bike so it is all irrelevant😁!
