The guitar he’s playing (1954 Les Paul) was lost in a fiery plane crash in Panama during a tour. For over 30 years it was believed to be destroyed in the crash. It was apparently stolen from the crash site but was eventually found in Curacao by someone who recognized it. They contacted Peter and he finally got the guitar back a few years ago.
@@whereRbearsTeeth He tells the Story on Stage when he brings it out .. its not BS. If you had ever seen him LIVE you would know its True...also there is a Video of him telling the whole Story
Midnight Special was the best. 70's & 80's music is untouchable. He lives here in Nashville Tenn. for awhile now, short hair, still going strong. Nashville Tenn. will always love you Peter Frampton. Thank you so much. 👉❤👈
Peter Frampton is an awesome musician. The whole band is killing it! Love that talk-box! And you just don't see incredible live performances like this anymore.
😁Saw ♫♪ Peter Frampton on 8-15-1976. GREAT SHOW! Hard to believe it's so long ago. I remember it as if it were yesterday. I'm confident you will have a GREAT TIME! ROCK ON!
Although I was very familiar with the album “Frampton Comes Alive”, having listened to it countless times, this performance on “The Midnight Special”, was the first time I had actually seen the band and Peter Frampton playing live in front of an audience, and it was etched into my memory very vividly all these years, and it was wonderful to view this video again, as I was only in Junior High School at the time then, and I am an adult now, and it is still some great video footage today! Thank you for posting this video for us all! Please have an excellent and awesome day! ☀️✨🎸

I think the solo after the mic air hookup is much better on Frampton live but this is great too.
As to reply to how was it?,it was 2 1/2 hours of amazing music. Humble Pie And Frampton’s Camel songs sprinkled in! Even signed a copy of this monumental album for a lucky fan whose seat number was picked by Peter 🤗🎸🇺🇸!
Saw him in 77 in Cleveland, as soon as he spoke and smiled it went through the whole stadium. Again a couple years ago in Akron at Blossom, same thing. The ultimate showman and musician.
GUITAR GOD🎸… I remember the first time I heard this - sometime around 77-78, a family acquaintance came to visit, in a conversion van with shag carpeting on the interior, and a killer eight track stereo system… He put on Frampton comes alive,… I made him play it over and over again🎸🎸🎸
Oh.. and gotta say this.. one of my most memorable times listening to music, growing up, winter of 1976, Frampton Comes Alive just released, four guys, drinking beer, we listened to all four sides of that album, start to finish with hardly a word spoken, sitting in a dimly lit room. Marantz 2270 receiver, Infinity 2000 II loudspeakers, Dual turntable. Bliss. 👊🏻 Got to see Peter 3-4 yeas ago, his farewell tour, second to last show of that tour. ( last show in San Fran-of course). Jason Bonham drumming that night, son Juilian too.
Damn, this takes me back to a 15 year old me with long flow and locks past my shoulder always a headband on my head bellbottoms tight T-shirt, good Lord those were great times so thankful I was able to live through the best time in music and in life. People always ask me would you like to be young again and I always tell him only if I can live through the same era I was fortunate to live through the first time. Thanks for the upload.
I was there in Winterland when the live album was recorded, that was one of the top 5 shows I saw there. In Winds of Change someone lit firecrackers off right next to us and you can hear it in the album. Its still one of the loudest crowds ever in the Rock Palace!
At the 1976 Day on the Green, he headlined over Lynyrd Skynyrd which was only days before the plane crash. Anyway, Frampton at that show - it's well documented, Frampton really looked kinda shell shocked at his rise to fame and fortune in that 1976 video. I mean - headlining a DOG show over Lynyrd Skynyrd? He looks a lot more confident here even though it's 1975.
This is scary for me, splitting an atom nuclei is a million times more energetic then any (electron sharing) chemical bonds where even high-explosive decompose at 30,000 feet per second (~6 miles per second, when carbon and hydrogen bond with oxygen. This is scary A million times more energy... ok ladies? Are you finally willing to submit to us men? We own you!... And we love you!
This is the type performances we should be watching during Superbowl Halftime shows
Why ? Most players are African American but you know that ?

Peter Frampton is responsible for so many great memories. I miss this era greatly
Did you know he is a nominee for the rock & roll hall of fame? I am voting for him daily.

I remember Frampton comes alive in Jr. High on our little cassette players . It was everywhere.
1975 saw him live at the Syracuse War Memorial I will never ever forget it.
One of the best concerts ever.
Saw him in Rich Stadium in Buffalo in 1976. Good times never to be forgotten 😢
Going to see this great musician March 5, 2024 at The Count Basie Theatre NJ🎸🎸🎸🎸!!
how good was it?
😮 He's Now... At 75 years old

Thanks for the walk. Back in time to when life was so much easier! 😎
The album cover had the best texture for cleaning hippie lettuce.
Holy hell, you just brought back a memory from back in the day. Thanks for that. Cheers!
We called it happy hay. 😂😂
GREAT ARTIST!!!! Love this Song.... Burned up 2 8-Track's listening to the Frampton Comes Alive....
I saw him in 1975 or so and he was doing this material. He was pretty good but I never thought that he would take off like he did.
I liked Humble Pie music. That's where he got his start.
Saw him in Augusta,Maine. First concert I ever saw. Awesome show. Damn that was back in 76 or 77.
It's incredible, that after all these years, no one has ever experimented with the voice sinthixisixiorer
Everyone from the 80's has this album.
Ever notice after a few drinks, you enjoy the music much louder? Nothing like Novocane for the brain! 😄
Actually? Your Auditory Economics 101
LOL
A live performance on TV what novel idea. You’re lucky if a stage performance is live anymore

Remember Seeing Him at Anaheim Stadium during those Years. Place Rocked with Music and Smoke
It’s a crime that this legend isn’t in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Sure is. I read this and am flabbergasted. He must have PO someone.
If I had a top 5 favorite songs - this is definitely one of them
Back in high school I was a stoner and I mean to tell ya listening to Frampton and getting high was where it was at. The good ole days.
Looks like the 🎸 he played with humble pie.
Like to feel like we do
It's a lot to think about, for all of us!
Nostalgia. So good
friggin awesome
Absolutely best of al time...Cocaine/Cannabis/Booze face guitar lead....
Awesome....
Great 🎸
My favorite Frampton concert was the WNEw 102.7 Christmas concert at the Avery Fischer Hall 1975 NYC. It was great!
Thanks for sharing 3 weeks ago..

How the hell do you make that music with your mouth around an air tube? Please Explain? Love you Peter!
Do you have a sound wave from your gutair, traveling up that tube?
OH Shit! I figured it out, it's into your microphone
