Great video...doing the front struts tonight but have to do back shocks soon. Can an old man make a suggestion? Please always backup your hydraulic jack with jack stands.
Hey Farm Dad, will definitely share this video with my brother, currently having a similar problem with his 2005 Danali Thank you so much for this information Have a good weekend

Love the video and my 05 Denali is riding fine so far but I’m hearing air come out from, I’m assuming the air connector…. And I’m also noticing my truck isn’t rising when the compressor kicks on like it used to.
Same problem here. I sprayed the connector that clicks to the shock and it's leaking real bad on both sides. I just replaced both air shocks so idk how to fix the connection leak...
Another good find and fix video. Funny thing though, I've watched several videos on fixing different things on trucks and cars and most back yard mechanic grab a carpenters claw hammer to work to do mechanic car work. Just something I noticed. 👍👍
I know this is an old video but I have a question for you, hopefully you can help me out. I have an 06 Denali that looks exactly the same under there, replaced the air shock a couple months ago, everything seemed fine. The other day I walked out to the car and noticed afield large oil stain under the rear bumper on the driver side. I drove the car home jacked it up and noticed that the airline that I believe feeds the passenger air shock had a slipped off. Idk how but I put it back on, however I notice a change in my ride now, feels a little rougher. Any idea why this could’ve happened? I’m concerned that the oil from the shock cam out that’s why it feels off. I called ACDELCO to ask if these air shocks carry oil in them, they were not able to find anything that said so. Do you think I ruined the new shock driving it w out the air line connected?
@@joelara1122 I don't think you leaked out oil. Although it is possible to hurt your shocks without air, im guessing you didn't damage them. Perhaps it's leaking at your connection still? This video may help you diagnose things: th-cam.com/video/-9rXkna3P-Q/w-d-xo.html
Hey bro, I just replaced my shocks and the compressor, but it doesn’t come on, only until I put some weight in the back, it’s that normal? Thank you for any help
I suspect that if you are hearing it run once weight is put on the back that you are ok. But you should hear it run shortly after starting your SUV up too
awesome video. Quick question on those rear shocks. Are there valves on the air inlets or if you pull off the hose will they loose air? I was believe my compressor is dead, but was thinking I could try to add some air to shocks temporarily before I replace everything.

@@FarmDad thanks, yeah I've done some of that already...just putting off the inevitable! (So the shocks really don't have a schrader valve or anything on the inlet? Just "open"?) They must operate at pretty low PSI. (great vids BTW)
@@FarmDad Thanks for the info. Which model Arnott's did you replace these with? I already purchased the Vigors but was curious which specific models you had reviewed before.

Nice man! Glad to see you uploading again!
great job buddy, I'm wondering how long did those shocks last?!
Nice, this was really helpful! Now I can fix my car!!!
Good information and great demonstration tutorial. 👍😊🇺🇸
Thanks for sharing, hope the farm is going well bro! 🤘
All good 👍. Thanks for asking!
Good job finding your leak!!! I have a spray bottle of soapy water for similar!!!
Keep Rocking it out!!!
It comes in handy. Thanks!
Thanks, nice and easily install the shock. I'll replace mine pretty soon using your video.
Glad to help.
Could you tell me where to order the front and rear kits. My Denali is a 2004-many thanks
Thanks for sharing man. Wish I new more about this stuff 🤣🤣
Thx for the video on how to, I have an 01 Denali I would have liked to see it demonstrating how it works at end of video, thx again

Don't forget to start your truck and let air pump in while you lower it so you don't ruin your new air shock
Thnx ...str8 2 the pnt...just bought..but lifetime warranty 🤔
Welcome
I just installed air shocks on my truck and they still leak slowly can I put slim in the line to fix the slow leak 🤔
I would not. Spray soapy water everywhere and figure out what is leaking and repair. Best to you.
Nice work!
Is it necessary to replace both if only one is leaking?
You can just replace the one.
Do you have to disconnect the battery at all before you do this job or no?
It's always a good idea.

You can pull off the hose and add air that way, but be super careful because I've seen people blow them by adding too much air too quickly.

Did you use remanufactured or new replacement shocks? @Farm Dad
I used reman. Stay away from suncore. Arnotts have done well for me.
How are those air springs holding up?
No problems so far.
Which model of shock were you installing in this video?
Suncore. 1 failed about a month later. Other failed after a year.
