Pro-tip: If you get an air bubble under the vinyl, stick a pin or a sewing needle in the middle of the bubble, where it is most raised, then squeegee toward the hole, the bubble will flatten out and the hole will be invisible. Also, car wax helps vinyl decals last a very long time.

Another thing with long decals.. Get a set of vinyl magnets. They can help hold the decal in place while you position or on the vehicle. Check out MetroRestyling.com for some.

You need ONE mark for Center on your decal, at the top edge. Line this up with Center on the light. (It’s the Center of the cab). A small piece of tape on each end of the decal, eyeball level, press tape in place, measure and adjust for level if necessary. THEN place hinge tape at Center. @@FadeToBlackLLC I would but I’m much better at installing vinyl than I am making videos. Haha! I do it for a living. Your method works fine, but if you tried mine, you’d find it much faster. Also, if you have a knife (Olfa SVR2 is my favorite), once you have it positioned, cut one tape, left or right, doesn’t matter. Lift to the hinge, cut and pull liner, lay decal down, and the tape stuck to the window should line up with the tape on the pre mask. (Its a double check I use) So now you have a piece of tape at the other end and a tape hinge in the center. Remove the hinge (half your decal is secured now anyway)lift the other half and grab the edge of the liner where you cut it and pull it from the center out. This gives you more control, and if you’re ever sticking outside and it’s a little gusty, this method is a decal saver.
