Pretty nicely explained, though it's dangerous to lead people to think that level is correct. Sure you can adjust a laser level to be parallel with body lines, but the average viewer won't know that you meant that. Lining up graphics on a vehicle can be simple, but more often than not, it's the difference between a professional looking job and a poorly installed decal. But I don't mean to be negative. Honestly it's one of the best explanations of the center hinge technique I've seen on TH-cam. I'm sharing it with my brother-in-law who purchased some decals from me.
Hi Tony, In this application we used a self leveling green laser to set our level line. Stabilo chalk pencils are typically our go to for quick registration points.
Is there a preferred temp to make sure the graphic will stick properly, I have to do this outdoors? It felt like summer last week but today feels like winter lol.
I'm surprised a video had to be made to do this job of installing a decal. I did this in early '70's and it seems and looks like nothings changed so far
By far, THE best and most straightforward instruction. Thank you for your time.

Just amazing technique. Thanks so much for sharing!
Great video. Good to also note that if using a self levelling laser, the truck needs to be on a level surface. Thanks.

Only was I was shown, works great even on 6' window graphics.👍
push pin type thumbtacks work great, if you get a bubble.
Thank you. Great video instructional 😊
Thank you! This was very helpful 💪🏽
Thank you
Is there an advantage to printing that sticker on wrap material? Why use wrap over those vinyl stickers? Thanks!
is an application fluid necessary? i noticed you did not use one.
It's only old school when you're a young kid
What type of vinyl do you recommend for dump trucks that carry hot asphalt? I need decals on the body

The desired temperature is between 60-75 degrees Fahrenheit, however you can preheat the surface if too cold to avoid adhesion issues.
what do you mean when you say 70/30 isopropyl
@@scrapin2010 It is isopropyl alcohol, I just used cheap rubbing alcohol for the final clean in a spray bottle, worked really well too!
That’s correct we use the 70 percent alcohol 30 percent water ratio…down to 50/50 to cut the oils to maximize the adhesive bond to the paint.
Helpful. Thanks! 🙏
How long does something like this last??
I’m trying to do this. It’s 28 degrees and not sticking.

Which vinyl is that? Oracle 651? Thanks 😊
Hello, this is the 751 series, we find it much more convenient for both installations and overall durability.
