12 years later and this video is still helping people apply large decals like a pro. Thank you for sharing this! Just follow these simple instructions and you will get great results. Got decals on a trailer looking good thanks to you.
Thank you so much for this help. I managed to complete a very large transfer myself for my son's room. Your instructions are perfect. Massive thanks from Scotland UK. Hope you are staying safe.
I spoke too soon. I had 3- 3' x 13" Decals to put up on outside metal warehouse doors. This was the first time I did decals of this large size. Everything else i had done in the past were the size of bumper stickers. Using your method and my OCD, they turned out perfect. Thanks again for putting this on TH-cam.
I took notes on all the steps (later when installing I would have forget it) and it really works! Believe or not, we didnt find any company to do this for us in a 200 km radius, so we have to do it our selves... Thanks a million!
Great video... I was going to have to explain how I'd install a customer's vinyl to my customer, but I'll just send him the link to this video. It's almost exactly how I've been installing vinyl for 25 years. Thanks!
Sticker or vinyl, still the same message, we are professionals and understand the message, call it how ever you want, the method is good, i use it for small vinyl like that, but for larger ones like a 24" x 12' i use a awesome two awesome techniques the give me a great result, thanks for the video and God bless.
I watched this video this morning. And I was able to immediately adhered my vinyl sign to my wall. The only additional advice I would give is: take your time peeling the letters from the top surface. But yes I was able to do it myself and this is not in my skillset. LOL
Great info... especially the temperature info. I'm getting ready to install $800 worth of decals on a box truck in 45 degree temps. Exactly the info I needed!
WOW!!! I tried this, followed his method exactly and my sticker turned out PERFECT!!!! Follow this tutorial and you can't go wrong. Thank you so much!!
Thank you Veritas. V v good explanation and demonstration. Once the right hand half is fixed, and you start to peel off the backing from the left hand side, why peel it from the left rather than the centre, which would seem to make more sense to avoid bubbles/creases? Thanks again.
Thank you so much! We had to install a 3'x9' vinyl logo and I was terrified we were going to mess it up. Thanks to your great instructions it went up perfectly!
Hey , awesome video !! Just wanted to know what kind of vinyl is this ? It Seems like you have used a transfer paper but again whats this vinyl called as ? Plz reply back .. much appreciated
This is the method I use, too. However, I find that using a gift wrap cutting blade is much easier than a pair of scissors for cutting away the backing paper!
Is it possible if the sticker was too thin this kind of quick application wouldn’t go so well? My dad has a buisness with his own sticker printer. I feel like the stickers are way too thin and can only be applied wet. Stickers are being applied to trucks.
Question???? and Answer Please....... We bought a unicorn face sticker from you, but we are putting it on the wall in a rental home.......and I thought it was the type of vinyl sticker that you can put on the wall and easily remove?? but now we aren't sure if that is the type we have......so could you please let me know if it is or not.......cause can't apply anything that is gonna be hard to get off the walls.
Let me save some of you a LOT of time and effort with vinyl decals: invest in a little thing called an Everhard roof roller. The 2" red roller with a blue plastic handle or wooden handle. Every single job I've done in the 5 years I've used it has taken half the time it would have, using a squeegee.
This works IF the decal is complete horizontally. My Corvette logo sticker came with some of the letters below the others. Where's the installation advice on how to apply them in a straight, horizontal line?
This was a helpful video. Only thing is our decal wasn't sticking to my daughter's wall. Maybe I had it in the package way too long because we ordered it a while back and just now put it on and parts of it is not sticking. Any advice on how to keep it stuck to the wall ? I thought about putting a clear glitter spray paint but not sure if that will help or not. Any advice will be greatly appreciated 😍
What if you have two or three colors, like a drop shadow or a highlight? You can't see through the tape to register the separate colors, so how do you do that?
+1 for a QR code on the little slip of paper you include with your product. I viewed it on my computer, so I had a keyboard with which to enter it -- but so many people rely on their smartphones to get online that a QR code would make a big difference.
I get to try doing this with an 8 foot logo on a box truck this week. Never tried center hinge but I know for a fact taping the top doesn't work on really big stuff. It's bubble central!
Hi i need to install a 3 meters by 1.45 meters long film sticker vinyl whatever its called, for a shop sign on a glass surface, would this method work, its too big.
Just starting out and have a 24 in cutter. What's the proper procedure on installing a graphic larger than 24 in. Like a graphic I would have to piece together
+Bill Balsamico Place both pieces on the wall with the backing still on to get them where you want them. Use this method for one of the pieces. After you have that one piece on the wall, pull back about a half inch or so of the backing paper and fold it over or cut it off. You can then line the seams up and not have a lot sticky part touching the wall so you can reposition it. Then once you have it lined up, do this method for that piece as well.
Please explain what you mean by using soapy water? I did one side of my trailer yesterday and it looks horrible. Came back to your video for a refresher lesson and caught that tidbit. Help please?
If you spray the surface of your trailer with soapy water it wont stick right away. It'll grab but you'll have a bit of time to adjust your "sticker". It provides enough slippage to squeeze out bubbles or creases. Check out this video from a couple who use a wet application method. th-cam.com/video/eEey_-99mIA/w-d-xo.html A lot of professionals dislike the wet method for varying reasons but as a non pro it helped me through my install. Hope this helps
We have done that - if it is very rough don't even bother trying! But if it is nor so rough try painting the wall with a few coats of clear sealant then try.
If it's any more textured than the orange peel type texture they usually don't work very well (at least not with out a TON of patience when applying). You can apply to painted wood or canvas though and hang them.
The official size of the graphic was 70" x 50". Add and inch or two to that. It's big. Too big to manage for 1 person. I didn't buy the graphic from VeritasDecalsApparel but apparently the company selling the graphics on Ebay was using a link to this video as their install directions.

Project Veritas: find out about the scum of the swamp. That’s. A proper Journalist for anyone with the courage and brains to go beyond decal application. Question - if not on aluminium painted hull, with wet methods, do you use the card with as much speed as you use in the dry application bubble removal? If anyone knows. I’d appreciate it.

Excellent tutorial...all it took was being patient and working slowly...decal is perfectly centered on my bathroom wall. Thanks!!!

As a single mom trying to do this I greatly appreciate your video. 🙂
Thank you! Glad I watched this before trying to hang my large decal today! :)
WOW!!! I tried this, followed his method exactly and my sticker turned out PERFECT!!!! Follow this tutorial and you can't go wrong. Thank you so much!!
Thank you for including this information in the package. I bought a large full moon for my bedroom wall and it was important to know how...
Went from hating this guy to liking this guy in a couple minutes.

Awesome getting ready to do my first job and feeling nervous 😬😂
If you send this link to customers a qr code would be great
Used this to video to help me hang our son's large vinyl decal in the nursery, thanks!

This helped a lot but my ebay(some other brand) decal cover film was my main issue and still had some flaws I couldn't work out.
Is it possible if the sticker was too thin this kind of quick application wouldn’t go so well? My dad has a buisness with his own sticker printer. I feel like the stickers are way too thin and can only be applied wet. Stickers are being applied to trucks.
Nice install, beats top hinge and cutting into sections by far
Great video and insider tips about temperatures.
I used this method after watching your video and it made it so easy! Thank you for this video!!!!!!
By the way, meant to say this was a great video for how to instructions. Thanks!

Thanks for this tip.. i’ll be applying this one in an upcoming work.. thanks
Awesome video, I'm going to try this method out for hanging a 4ft x 4ft wall decal!
What if you have two or three colors, like a drop shadow or a highlight? You can't see through the tape to register the separate colors, so how do you do that?
This is brilliant. Thank you for this very helpful tutorial. Even I understand it
I know this video is old af but can you use this method in conjunction with the wet install?
Great Video! Awesome logo

What about going vertical up and down with the sticker

Is there any way to remove what is left of the lettering and decals after it is on the wall?
Hi i need to install a 3 meters by 1.45 meters long film sticker vinyl whatever its called, for a shop sign on a glass surface, would this method work, its too big.
I just put some letter stickers on a window.. the letters kept getting stuck on the paper im peeling back.. any advise for that?
Friend what kind of Wall is that
And the vinyl u use . what is
What is the best method for removal without destroying the surface of a finished sheetrock wall?
Thank you so much for that video!
What's the size of that sticker?
What size is your decal w”x h”
Great video! Very clear and it really helped prepare me to do this perfectly!
Hi, I would like to know how to remove the sticker? Thanks

What if you're installing vinyl over a rough orange peel surface? Is it impossible? will it look like crap?
We have done that - if it is very rough don't even bother trying! But if it is nor so rough try painting the wall with a few coats of clear sealant then try.
This is exactly what I was looking for!! Thanks
Thanks for this excellent instruction video
Will wall decals work on walls that aren't smooth..my room has textured walls

Meghan Bomberger Thank you!
Thank you-great video!
Thanks. Your method will help this weekend :-)

Where do you print your decals?
What is the name of the font
Very well done video, although I could have sworn he was putting up the sticker in a 'crack house'. Probably 'tract' but you never know.....
Does this rip paint off wall when removing?
I was wondering the same thing and cant find info anywhere.
Use a heat gun and peel slowly.
really useful vid, thanks
This was very helpful !
very good!!! tanks for the tips.
Glad I watched. Thanks!
Lol my sticker is about 30 ft long at work and they sent me out alone I’m tryna figure out how tf I’m going to do it
Hey man. Did you manage to get it done? How did you do it?
Although "Veritas" is mythology, its meaning & symbolic design is awesome!
Stephanie Everitte the truth of Jesus Christ is far from mythology, but Evolution is real mythology.

Was your way the "I don't give a fuck and want to get this sticker up as quickly as possible" ?
Thank you
Grat video,thanks a lot
Good Job!!
Only the letters stick to the wall. It's not a one piece sticker?
Decals need not be in one piece.
Thanks
Thanks bro
