Viva, as a native Floridian (born in Tallahassee, living in Daytona) I am happy to call you one of our own. Glad you're finding the beauty of the state of Florida
It's a bobcat. And your reaction is totally normal. It also demonstrates why people tell stories of seeing panthers. Cool little video. Thanks for sharing.!
Have you seen Tim Harrel's channel? He has trail cameras in the Florida Swamps with numerous Florida Panthers. I'd argue there were more panthers, than bobcats!
Wow, impressive array of wildlife on one bike ride! And l see wildlife, but live in the northern Ontario wilderness, l mean 8 hour drive north of Sudbury, northern wilderness.
Native Floridian here (many generations) ❤ Only left for 12 yrs (NC '01-'13) while my son was in school cuz the public education system was really terrible here at the turn of the century. So glad to have weathered the last decade back in #myFL #saltlife #LandoftheFree
And I loved (past tense) Canada. Château Frontenac, PEI, Alexander Graham Bell Museum, driving the Gaspe Peninsula, Nova Scotia, ferry to Newfoundland/Labrador. BUT! Never going back until there is major regime change. Sad
You're not in Canada, anymore. The Lynx is a northern animal; I don't think they get that far south. That must have been a male bobcat, because I've seen dozens of Florida Bobcats on Tim Harrel's trail cam channel, but they didn't have that big head. Tim has some phenomenal photography of Florida wildlife and some while orchids. Thanks for sharing that!
I used around fly out of the Palm Beach area. And it always struck me how you would have these vast densely populated areas that would all of a sudden end at swamp. There was no gradual move from densely populated to sparsely populated then swamp. It was just densely populated, then *boom* swamp.
Where is that park in FL? Those are some jumbo well fed deer ... wonder what predators they have there that kerp em in check besides gators? Maybe larger cats?
Most people dont live anywhere near these type of areas of Florida. Theres an abandoned golf course that is overgrown in my neighborhood and apparently there are roaming Coyotee's that can be heard howling at night. I would love to go camping and take a kayak for a night stroll somwwhere like this.
SHHHHHH!!!! Rule number one: When you find a cool place, don't tell anyone about it or it will be end up being (no pun) swamped. signed- former Coconut Grove resident 1965-2005 😁😉 🐊😎🐊
just like ky except no gators. but we got bald eagles, ospreys, and bigfoot. lol im glad we have no gators because i commercial catfish and im sure i would pull one up on the line if we did. i did get a 40 lb snapping turtle one time though but he let go of line before i could video him. nice video man.
@@sunshineeddy6849 lol ky is not bad i came from cali. and im conservative. and ky is more free then cali for sure. but ya the ocean i will probably always miss. glad you like florida. maybe one day i can make it down there to fish for tarpon and snook.
All fun and games until the hurricanes come, then they cry foul and say they've been victimized. You have to weigh the good with the bad, know many that got tired of rebuilding their houses every few years and decided Florida wasn't worth it.
September and the leaves are still green, and there is no snow on the ground. What is this witchcraft? Maybe the fountain of youth really is hidden down there. 🤔
I can't help but hear "isn't she a beauty" in the legendary Steve Irwin's voice as you were there whispering about the bobcat. 😆
The bobcat was impressive.
Oh WOW, what a beautiful cat!!!
We love you too, Viva. Resident since 1987. All four kids and 9 grandkids are natives.

I love Florida so much, after 6 years of being a resident, I bought my first house near West Palm Beach. Worth it.

Yes, Florida is a great choice! 'Staycation State'
Florida has wonderful preserves and state parks, I love them as well as well as all the amazing wildlife!

I'm so glad your happy here 🙂
A baby.....and then GODZILLA !!
We have been here for a long time now.. We love it! Glad you are here too!!!
Florida seems to have a few holy cows as well.
Rodney Howard Brown for one! Went to jail for freedom!
I could never do that Florida humidity
Thank you for this video, Viva.
Florida loves you.
There needs to be more Florida horror movies. Maybe you'll make a good one with an outsiders perspective
Just a bobcat
Looks like you better become a python vigilante... I think you're ready.
Cool. Loved the bobcat
Love it; If you want to see some gators up close, come hang out with us in Gainesville sometime and visit the Sweetwater Preserve here... Whoo boy!
FLA is a fascinating place for wildlife and wild-ish places. Not many gators up here in Michigan.
Love to see the Great Egrets flying. They show off for the camera
WHAT a bike ride!! How cool!!
You should go to west Central Florida, Crystal Clear Rivers, thousands of fish and even otters and manatees everywhere.

We don't have gators in NC, but we have all the other stuff with about 15-degree lower temperatures and much less humidity. We have mountains, too.

Soooo cool!!
But actually makes me sad because I’ve never been and desperately want to go.😢
Bobcat. No lynx in Florida.
Be sure to put out a salt lick block with minerals for the wildlife this winter. Get them @ Harbor freight.

I miss my home state. Don't miss the pythons.

Florida has bald eagles and ospreys. And frankly, Bigfoot probably moved here like “everybody” else did. 🤷♀️

What bike are you riding, Viva?
I want to defect to Florida as well!!
😱😱😱
We will have to let you know when you start to speak with a southern drawl!😊
Florida suits u sir.
What a bobkitty.
Somehow I have been scared of any animal that could kill me since I was little. Never got over it.
Chunky little bobcat
That's a Bobcat. You should hear them. They sound like someone screaming.. it's very haunting.
Bobcat!
That bobcat looks like he is sick.
Bobcat.
There are a lot of Canadians in Florida, but I think it's a bobcat, not a lynx.
Put on some UV blocker sunglasses and you'll see the really big ones under the surface staring back at you
Viva leave the cats alone lol😂
food everywhere
That is a Bobcat fo sho
😊👌

Hurricanes chased us out. But I don't miss the BUGS either!!! Or the traffic.
Where are you in Florida? I know a big swamp filled with huge Nile Crocodiles 🐊
bob cat
A bobcat is related to a lynx so it was a bobcat you saw.
September and the leaves are still green, and there is no snow on the ground. What is this witchcraft?

🤔
That ain’t no litter box cat.
As you can see by my avatar I’m a big cat fan! LOL
Beautiful. But I still don’t like alagators
No that was a real bobcat. There is a story of a Florida man who had to kill a bobcat with his bare hands after it attacked him. It had rabies. (2007)
I think we've lost you to a better place. Surprised you don't do rides with the kids. Learn & get exercise at the same time.
Don't be eating our cats dude!
MAGA stop 🛑 eating pets!
Bobcat
