Thanks for sharing and pointing out the faults too. Not many people out there show us that mistakes do happen and qudos to you for being a perfectionist. I know the the feeling 😊
Exactly what I was looking for. Just installed my Rogue Monster Lite Folding Rack, and I wanted to see how these Lowe's mirrors looked before I bought them. Thanks!
You can put a rubber setting block under 1 side of the mirror to adjust it's height so the gaps become correct. This is how glass is set in the professional glazing industry. Home stores should have glass setting blocks or just use a piece of hard rubber as a shim.
Thank you for the video and pointers. I was set to purchase the Keonjinn Home Gym Mirror 48” x 32” for $135 per mirrow. Your Project Source 36-in W x 60-in H are larger and less expensive at $84.98 per mirror, and I wanted larger mirrors. You covered every detail in step by step procedures. I will purchase 4 mirrors which will be 144 in. The two 72 inch jay mold will be the perfect fit. what was the height that you placed the j mold? Thank you, brother for the video!
I bout the mount off Amazon and just bolted into the wooden beam in the ceiling. Here is the name of the mount I bought if you want to search for it on Amazon - Dolibest Heavy Bag Hanger,Wall Ceiling Mount Hook 360° Rotation Wood Beam Holder
Closer to 3 feet, they were also not equal distances, the builders did not do a great job with consistent spacing. This wasn't a problem with my mirrors but meant I could only mount my Wall Rack to 2 studs instead of the recommended 3.
I used 2" long screws to make sure they held in the wall studs. The most important thing is to get flat head wood screws so they don't scratch the back of the mirror.
Question brother I have concrete walls in my garage curious if these would still work obvi I’d need small concrete drill bit. But not sure about the screw to use.
I wasn't sure about this one. The only difficult part is getting the j-channels mounted to the concrete. I can't advise you how to do this but I did find a TH-cam video of someone else doing it. th-cam.com/video/4yjHZduSHTA/w-d-xo.html
I wondered the same thing. I have no issues about damaging the mirror when folding the rack. I am always careful when folding the rack but there is a small gap from the wall when folded so the rack arms don't touch the mirror.
According to the videos I watched most people just mount the mirrors to the drywall with anchors and are good. But with my mirrors being on the same wall that my rack is mounted to, I wanted to make sure when I rack the weight and the wall moves that the mirrors down fall so I mounted mine into the studs.
Yes. The width doesn't matter because the rack doesn't block you from mounting the mirror width wise. Be aware the Rouge Monster Wall Rack has enough space for a 60 inch height mirror but the Rogue Monster Lite does not, because the stringers on the Monster Lite are mounted closer together. There may be a way around this but that is the main reason I went with the RM instead of the RML. Good luck on your build!
That is a good idea! It can't hurt and I have noticed sometimes when I rack the weights the wall will move a little. It would be added peace of mind if I knew they were glued.
"The best part about working out at home is being able to check your pump in the mirrors, without anyone else seeing you do it" But flexes on the video for 20 seconds so EVERYONE watches him do it. 😂😂😂
Nice video as it is helpful to me prior to my garage gym installation. Is that a 2-car garage? I will be using a 3, a side-by-side, 2-car and single-car. It appears as if you only mirrored one side of your garage. How did you go about purchasing equipment? This will be a concern of mine because I'd like new, top-of-line equipment if I can afford it. I'm wondering if the company from which you purchased from delivered? Helped with securing them to the Heavy Duty Rubber Flooring? I'm new to this so .....
My garage is a 2 car garage. I ordered all my equipment from Rogue Fitness website. They were great and the shipping costs were much less than I expected considering the weight of everything I had shipped, I think they discount it or cover a portion of the shipping based on your order. I did only mirror one wall because my other wall is all storage racks. The flooring I got is 'Horse Stall Matts; that I got from Tractor Supply store, they are the best quality and cheapest solution for gym flooring by far. Good luck on your build!

Ha! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing the hack saw cut, need to do this asap.
You have to have big mirrors if you have a garage gym!
Love your attention to detail and pursuit of excellence ✨️
I tried to be OK with the small gap but I couldn't do it. LOL. It was worth the extra time and effort to get it right!
Thank you for this video, I used everything in your description to get my mirror setup done!
That's awesome! So glad my video was helpful.
best vid on this so far...didn't even know you could hacksaw those j-molds like that. Essential bc they sell them in very limited sizes.
Thank you! That's so cool that it was helpful.
I can totally relate to the ocd, where perfect is the enemy of good enough 😄
So true brother. At least I'm not the only one!
Exactly what I was looking for. Just installed my Rogue Monster Lite Folding Rack, and I wanted to see how these Lowe's mirrors looked before I bought them. Thanks!
That's awesome! Thanks for the comment!
I just bought the same mirrors. Thanks for the Video. Checking for the lighting video now:)
Nice! The mirrors make such a difference. Thanks!
Haha, love you description about trying to accept the imperfection. I would have done the same thing.
Right! Thank you. I'm so glad I fixed it and now it is perfect!

Now if there had been a video about this I might have found it, thanks for the tip!
@@ChallengeTheory We live and learn my brother. Glad you got it done.
Hi there, what kind of mats do you have on the floor? I’m considering using horse stall mats from tracker supply
That is exactly what I have, horse stall mats and they are awesome. Just be aware they have a bad rubber / chemical smell for a few months.

Very nice thanks, I'm going to be crossing the border from Canada just to pick some of these up, so much cheaper than anything I could find here
Nice!
Great vid! I ran into that same issue with the gaps between my mirrors today when I set them up. I’m going to redo my j mold tomorrow morning.
How did you mount the boxing bag?
I bout the mount off Amazon and just bolted into the wooden beam in the ceiling. Here is the name of the mount I bought if you want to search for it on Amazon - Dolibest Heavy Bag Hanger,Wall Ceiling Mount Hook 360° Rotation Wood Beam Holder
Hi! Great video... what size of screws did you use for the small holes in the J mold?
They were like 2 1/2 inch long flat head wood screws so they sit flush on the j-mold and don't scratch the back of the mirror.
@@ChallengeTheory thank you!
Nicely done!
Thanks!
Great video! I'm gearing up to install mirrors in my garage gym. What size screws did you use?
lol nevermind i see you noted the size you used below
Thank you and good luck with your install!
Awesome video! Thanks for the tutorial👍
Thank you! So glad it was helpful.
What’s the space in between your studs in your garage
Closer to 3 feet, they were also not equal distances, the builders did not do a great job with consistent spacing. This wasn't a problem with my mirrors but meant I could only mount my Wall Rack to 2 studs instead of the recommended 3.
What size screws would you recommend? I'm using the same j channel.
I used 2" long screws to make sure they held in the wall studs. The most important thing is to get flat head wood screws so they don't scratch the back of the mirror.
Hello. Can you tell me what screw size you used for the j mold mount? The center holes are really small.
They were like 2 1/2 inch long flat head wood screws so they sit flush on the j-mold and don't scratch the back of the mirror.
Looks awesome by the way
Thank you!

Great content. Going to buy the same rack. Do you have any issues with the rack hitting the mirror when folded back?
I wondered the same thing. I have no issues about damaging the mirror when folding the rack. I am always careful when folding the rack but there is a small gap from the wall when folded so the rack arms don't touch the mirror.
Is a plasterboard wall enough to hold that weight??
According to the videos I watched most people just mount the mirrors to the drywall with anchors and are good. But with my mirrors being on the same wall that my rack is mounted to, I wanted to make sure when I rack the weight and the wall moves that the mirrors down fall so I mounted mine into the studs.
Perfect
Thanks!
Also would a 60x60 mirror fit well?
Yes. The width doesn't matter because the rack doesn't block you from mounting the mirror width wise. @@ChallengeTheory you are the man, thank you for suck detailed feedback. I will be going with the Monster rack
Very good video, thank you!
Any issues by not applying glue?
Any distortion?
Nope, the reflection looks perfect.
I'm looking to glue mine so that if something does break it, pieces don't fall down and hit me or my grand children.
That is a good idea! It can't hurt and I have noticed sometimes when I rack the weights the wall will move a little. It would be added peace of mind if I knew they were glued.
i will not be checking my manhood now thanks to this video.
Ha! That's awesome. Thanks, and good luck with your install!

so easy to spot someone on steroids no matter how BIG or small they are 😅
