    What are thoughts on Wall Control. If you own Wall Control, what are you favorite accessories?

    • @GrayMatterLifting
      @GrayMatterLifting 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a few shelves for belts which I like, as well as my squat shoes. I've got one bin for carbiners, small chains, and some misc. items. And I have a few of their big daddy hooks for my chains. I think I use couple of other hooks here and there, but only really because I have them. If I make some future changes to the gym, I might snag a few extra one-offs for some very specific purposes (u hook for a bench leg attachment as an example). For everything else, the hooks you noted are spot on.

    A home gym is so much nicer with wall organization. I just finished setting up my home gym with OmniWall and I love it. They use a grid slotted system which means any panel can be mounted horizontally OR vertically. The hooks can also be securely mounted in any direction so you can get creative with your storage. Made in USA as well.

    • @GarageGymLab

    Looks great and that was a fantastic video explaining how it all works. I have not done a wall storage as the idea of installing and figuring out what i needed - really did my head in. This was an excellent way to make it easy for us knuckleheads to ascertain if its a viable option. Cheers bro

    I have the shelf with the holder for my shop towels on it instead of the plain shelf to make it easier for cleaning. I would also recommend the little plastic bins that they sell for holding little odds and ends that you may want to have in the gym.

    • @sl1237

      @@kozmo7 Make sure the hub in the middle isn't loose and able to rotate. Make sure the diameters of the plates are consistent and close to 450mm. Rogue's urethanes had both problems and the diameter was off by 5-6mm on some of the plates (which they said was acceptable based on their internal tolerances). Titan also has similar reviews.

    Love the video! I'm trying to do something similar: put Wall Control on a plywood door covering my water heater. The plywood door is pretty thin. How heavy duty were the hinges you used for your doors given they would have to support the door, the Wall Control panels, and all of the attachments?

  • @Sboarder-ul6cr

    Thanks for the overview! A big drawback of pegboards is that the hooks can fall out if you don't very carefully pick up your item. So you haven't had this issue with the double slotted hooks?

    • @GarageGymLab
      @GarageGymLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If something gets hung up on it like a band, I’ve had the bottom come out, but I can’t recall a time where the whole hook came out.

    • @zfortyounce
      @zfortyounce 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have regular pegboard and the hooks fall out all of the time. I dont find it to be that big of a deal, It only takes a second to put them back and ultimately I like that they clean up the gym clutter. But yeah, If I had more disposable income, I would go this route.

    • @Sboarder-ul6cr
      @Sboarder-ul6cr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zfortyounce It's a royal pain in the ass for me. They bounce and find themselves in hard to reach places and get lost. I gotta be extremely careful whenever removing or replacing accessories back on.

    Hey bro I wonder if I could build something like that to hide my water heater in garage? Build like a door with wall control panels to hide my water heater and use it to hang gym stuff. I think as long as whatever I build on the wall to cover it has holes for it to breath I think I will be ok. I am not completely sure I am supoused to put anything in front of water heater thought?
