My point exactly with these videos. In the BL3 one I even state that that's my favorite game in the franchise, but it's important to show the devs what the players love and hate in these games to hopefully keep them from avoiding mistakes in the future.
No game is perfect, where people often struggle is determining what the problem is, AND putting it into words that even a lay person who enjoys the media can understand. Having recently replayed the portions of the game with save edited loot (because to hell with farming and playing through the game TWICE) and I found myself putting points in some skills just to make progress towards that tree's capstone. UVHM is just not very fun. Enemies are spongy, the passive regen can make certain enemies (crystalists or however they're spelled come to mind) literally unkillable in certain circumstances. I guess that's the problem with a new difficulty level coming out after launch, and all the hyper optimized guides players have made. BL: TPS, while a weaker game overall, solved five problems I have with 2. 1) action skill now unlocks at level 3, and you're more than likely going to hit it by the time you get out of the first map. 2) going from tier 3 to tier 4 on a skill tree now only requires a single skill point investment, combined with the prior point this means the capstone can be hit 6 levels earlier. 3) The secondary currency is more abundant and has more uses, tho I wish its limit was raised to at least 1000. 4) the skill trees feel far more tailored to the characters, in 2 it feels like a lot of skill points are just being spent on flat bonuses that may or may not synergize well with the character's other skills. 5) UVHM is still more challenging than TVHM, but is less unfair than how it was in BL2.
I still remember when I was playing the absolute hell out of TVHM because I couldn’t afford the upgrade for UVHM (I was like 12 at the time lol) and I farmed some pretty good gear for my Zer0. Nothing meta because I didn’t know what it was at the time but was able to demolish enemies in my path and it felt GLORIOUS! Imagine my utter shock when I finally did UVHM and faced that massive brick wall of a difficulty spike. 80% of my gear became immediately useless and I absolutely *had* to slag everything to even do a dent. I eventually powered through it but it was not a fun experience for me even to this day over a decade later.
I think my biggest issue with the game is survivability in the mid to late game. You don't so much tank attacks so much as abuse health gate religiously the Grog Nozzle is pretty much mandatory if you don't wanna go down several times in a row since getting a second wind gives you full shield not health which means you have no protection from immediately going down again the ramping bleed out feels like salt on the already existing wound as well
You never get to feel overpowered which is a big part of these kinds of game. Grinding to get an awesome new weapon and then it becoming useless after just a few encounters sucks
One of the more rare complaints I've seen is how mid-late game, the numbers for everything are so over-inflated, like no gun damage or shield unit is below the millions and it makes the effectiveness of your gear feel more cumbersome to keep track of or measure properly. The way BL1 scaled things with very scarcely stepping even into the 5-digit values and just amplifying damage reduction against higher-level enemies to make up for it worked alot better, there's even a mod that intends to re-implement that system into BL2, I believe it's called BLassic Mode
The lack of build/playstyle diversity at higher difficulties...really kills off a lot of potential fun. Sometimes you just feel like doing some real wacky shit in a game, y'know?
“The game has so much replayability” no it really doesn’t sure you can play as and build 6 characters but unless you’re doing an allegiance or some wacky run theres no point in building the same character cause when alls said and done that characters only gonna be built two ways. One if you’re planning on maxing op levels
I'm 100%ing it right now, and I'm seeing these issues come to fruition the most with Voracidous. Chose to 100% of TVHM bc I only wanna do side stuff for farms in UVHM to prep to farm for Rainbow. Anyway, even at level 56 with a leveled UVHM harold and slag, a bee, trying anshin shields, vitality relics, etc. Even with a grog I don't know if I could beat it. I am no casual gamer, and I farmed for gear, and I leveled properly. Why the hell is the only viable way to kill that boss through a fucking glitch. I swear, they made some of the content too hard. YOU HAVE TO MINMAX from lvl 50+. I can one shot the warrior in one cycle and slap every other raid boss with a few attempts. But on UVHM? with Voracidous? the game is no longer playable for anybody but masochists on those difficulties. xD Good thing I am one... On UVHM it's all just incredibly overtuned. It also feels weird to me, not wanting to accept good quest rewards before max level, etc. (Bc of the minmaxxing.) At the end of the day it's simply just bad boss design. AOE undodgeables? Fucking yeah right. They just become stat checks, it's not hard because it's actually designed well, it's hard artificially.
@@brendandrummond1739 Game's trash what I came to realize while trying to 100% it. Like the loot is not scaled to the player but the enemy that drops it like if u kill a lvl 32 enemy it can drop a lvl 32 weapon at best even if u are lvl 70 and there's the weird lvl capping the game doesnt tell u about. Like there is normal mode where the min enemy lvl is 1 and the max is 36 (39 in the fight for sanctuary dlc) so the max lvl loot u can get in normal is lvl 36. Then there is tvhm which has levels 36-50 and it raises a problem. Cause if u beat tvhm u get dropped to uvhm where the min level is 50 then everything scales to your level so u basically have to speedrun tvhm and hope u are not above lvl 50 cause if enter uvhm at like lvl 53 the enemies will also be lvl 53 but the loot you are using is only lvl 50 at best and in bl2 thats disadvantageous as fuck (it will take like 10 minutes to kill the shittiest enemy). Then there are the raid bosses which are plain bs and thats that where the boss is not even easier as a party of 4 people cause most raid bosses spam 2 attacks: 1. some op bs 2. Undodgeable aoe fart that equally damages everyone in the arena...who the fuck this was a good idea?! So u basically have to exploit them...if u can that is (voracidious and haderax cant be cheesed). Then there are the bugs mainly audio bugs which are atrocious that the game like gets a 200% volume increase for no reason. The vendors and money are useless cause the loot is always shit. So what u can do to get this 100% is: Beat tvhm go to the d&d dlc and there either spend all your eridium on rolling the vending machines to get decent loot or just rush trough it and do the same via buttstallion -> go to uvhm -> overlevel (anything above 60 or preferably 70) -> grind the best legendaries (sham shield, infinity gun, lyudmilla, etc.) -> wreck the raid bosses on normal.
Yeah balance is a huge problem. And I agree that OP levels are wildly unbalanced in how they're implemented (and the addition of that extra lvl 80 dlc was madness don't get me started on how scummy that is) But my single biggest gripe hands down is the straight up NEED for a grog at high levels of play. Why do I always need this ONE SPECIFIC gun to succeed across all play styles that's just poor game design right there. A katrillion guns but you will always have to use a grog, that's my biggest gripe with this game. And yeah that kinda goes to the implementation of slag, but also goes to a weird unbalance of healing and damage per character. Edit: I have gotten all characters to OP10 solo in BL2 so don't come at me about skill or shit the game isn't balanced well across the board. Yes "Always needing a grog" is an exaggeration but no matter what character you play there's always just one path to being the "strongest" why not have many paths to that end?
@@djnes2k7”I’m an above average player” is such a great way to get people to ignore you. If there are ways to succeed without the grog (outside of headache inducing hard mode builds) it’s just better to name a few examples to steer people towards a possibly more fun experience then do a weird brag
@michaelscarport Just because you're ok with it doesn't mean it isn't just bad game design. You can enjoy something and it be poorly designed, and thats my biggest gripe with BL2. It's so enjoyable, but its an unbalanced mess.
I think a good idea would be to Make the Grog Nozzle the mission reward for the Beard makes the Man mission. I hate leaving uncompleted/failed missions
The grog nozzle should never have been created. The healing is nice, but the crit bonus on Sal (the only character who can take advantage of it) is absolutely beyond busted.
Endgame balancing. That is by far the worst part of the game. I just can’t stand UVHM and the need to constantly switch to a slag weapon to actually do damage.
I find the different slag options better than every build using one of the 3 actually good annointments in higher mayhem levels it’s a necessity. At least there is a good amount of ways to apply slag, slagga, slag magic missile, skills, crossfire. I find those options more fun than every bl3 build being activate action skill to activate shield break effect and +100% damage of some element on your guns. I can see why some prefer 3 but to me 2 will always be better.
@@albe8479 To be fair, you'll never be weaker than you are at the start of UVHM. You've got all the scaling difficulty, but none of the extra skills yet to finish your build. If you ever do try it again, I recommend farming the snowman a few times every few levels. You won't get godly gear, but you WILL get very good gear consistently that you can use to keep leveling (and then stash a few on a mule a few so you never have to go through that again).
I personally think that uniques should be their own rarity. They have a red text and making them blue just reduces the value of them making it seem like a lower rarity is better than a higher one. I mean I definitely agree that most uniques still shouldn’t be better than most legendaries and pearls but the point still stands. Having them be a separate rarity like seraph and E-tech wouldn’t lessen the value of them.
Biggest complaint I have about BL2 is the fact that it's still a 32-bit exe... which means you can run out of memory at high resolutions and with the HD texture pack. I came back to this game for the first time in a decade, was playing at 4k with that HD DLC pack installed, and I ran out of memory multiple times the first couple of days before I realized that I had to turn Physx down to low to even have a chance at playing for more than an hour. It's absolutely absurd that in 2024 this hasn't been fixed yet.
I have over 15 thousand hours in BL2 and one of my biggest issues is the entire section from the start to getting into sanctuary is extremely tedious and slow spawn points are terrible, there is no way to easily get back to captain Flynt or that entire area for that matter if you want to farm anything. I think it partly due to Borderlands 1 doing its starting area so well that BL2's beginning area is disappointing to me.
FUN FACT: The cartoony cel-shaded graphics (dark outlines etc) was a fairly last min decision by devs after early footage which u can find showed it looking like every other avg shooter form that time so while the gameplays great its that decision that made this game iconic BUT im posting cuz i think the unintended benefit is that it has aged SO well, idk how much work went into the VERY cheap Switch remakes (10$ each or like 20 for BL2/TPS and ALL DLC for both on the e shop) but even compared to decent remakes like bioshock etc on switch the framerate lock is great, very little pop in, and felt so much smoother, and since its MEANT to look like a cartoon and not 'photorealism' i dont feel like im playing an old game with old graphics as it seems like an intentional choice
Been playing the switch versions of 2 and PS and they really really DO look freaking great, play great and having it wherever I can go is sweet sweet fucking icing on the cake
That’s my biggest gripe is having to reset the story 2-3 times for the peak to get grog and other mission rewards… either make those easier to get or make other builds viable lol
I find myself strongly agreeing with you about Digistruct Peak. I actually really loved the Peak itself, it was a very fun gauntlet to run, for a simple reason; it broke up the monotony of end-game BL2. Honestly my biggest issue with BL2 is that a lot of the ways you powered up, or faced end-game content, boiled down to a really, really repetitive numbers game. You faced the same boss/named enemy hundreds of times, just to get a better number that you needed. There was absolutely nothing interesting about driving up to Hyperion Truth Network 300 times, Hunter Hellquist had zero interactivity. One of the main misconceptions I think the community has about critiques of BL2 ties into this, with the rate of legendary drops. I don't want higher legendary drop chances because I want things handed to me on a plate, because I don't want to put in any effort into the game. I want them to be higher because the 'effort' I'm putting in is desperately dull. If I wanted to put together a build strong enough to solo the Ancient Dragons or god forbid Voracidous, I would have to spend hours, maybe dozens of hours, farming specific pieces of gear in extremely repetitive ways. I would basically not be playing the game, I would be going through tedium so that I could play the game. That's just really terrible design in my eyes. That's one thing that BL3 did extremely right with things like Trials and how they work with increased loot drop chances. You're still doing the numbers game but at least you're actually interacting with the game while you're doing it. I'm not saying that doing a trial over and over again for hours didn't also get tiring, but at least for me it was far less so. I was still actually using my character, looking for ammo, taking cover, picking targets. For all it's issues, Digistruct Peak gave that experience at the endgame of BL2. I'm still not a fan at all of OP levels, and I loathe that, say, I have to fight two Saturns, which is easily among the worst enemy designs in the game at OP10, but at least I felt like I was playing the game, and not preparing to play the game.
@@Ki11ersix yeah and why all seraphs have low damage and bullet speed? Nothing says special loot like power crept loot,Glad I farmed tokens for that lol
@michaelscarport agreed why am I farming tones of crystals for mid gear? And over half the legendaries are more of an insult than a reward,no one’s excited to see a Madhous, bunny or emperor drop
@@dennismcgonigal9691 thats why im iffy about pearls making a return because whats the point of having them if theyre more servicable as trophies than actual weapons.
7:14 community mod "BSABT" (better spawns and better travel) lets you fast travel from anywhere and its fantastic. Dont have to quit to menu and doesnt break the game in any way except saving you half a minute a thousand times
The unofficial patch adds auto-pickup for eridium, crystals, and tokens, removes the penalty from assault rifles, and raises the chance for Vermivorous to spawn on solo. It also makes the gauntlets repeatable and makes e-tech weapons worth something instead of being vendor trash. Alongside hundreds of other buffs and changes to make certain abilities more viable.
For me, it's how almost every item in the game becomes useless at Ultimate+. In Borderlands, you can use ANY item at Lv66-69 and still be able to play the game. It doesn't matter if the items are white/green/blue/purple or orange. The same can be said with Borderlands: TPS and Borderlands 3.
Just cause BL3 had worse pollution doesnt mean we can ignore it for BL2. Maybe it was my bad for trying to double Drunken Harold, but I dont think having the player use damage ticks as echo location is good either.
I can’t tell you how many times an rpg loader or nomad or a Goliath dual weilding rocket launchers downed me and activated some rapid fire mechanic and kept firing at me just to keep me blind. But hating on bl3 and looking the other way for 2 is the cool thing so I guess it’s ok right? 😂
OP Levels and three playthroughs are the reason I never touched the very late game. But the memories will make this game forever my favorite one. The ambient music, the story and the feeling when you finally get a good legendary made this so good for me
One of the biggest things I hate about enemies not scaling to you is the hornet, where if you actually want to use it for a build you have to wait until TVHM
One thing that wasnt mentioned, is the terrible terrain geometry and always getting stopped by some random tiny little lip in the floor, or some dumb shit, causing me to go down because I couldnt make cover in time. This happens ALOT, and is one of the most annoying things in the damn game. Like, simply trying to walk into Rolands hideout, my character cant walk up the little step, into the entrance LOL, so I either need to time a jump just right (as to not bump my head on the celing) to land on the curb/step, or walk up the curb in front of the gun vending machine and hug the wall. Shits retarted.
You missed an important problem in this video, and that’s character balance. Character balance is essentially how good the classes are when compared to each other. Now, BL3 also struggled with character balance, but it was to a much smaller degree than BL2. The best example of this honestly, compare Axton’s skill tree to Salvador or Krieg. By level 20, Axton could get 30% gun damage, while Salvador gets moneyshot and Krieg gets blood bath. Axton’s turret could get a shield or rockets, Salvador can regen ammo and Krieg can heal off of overkill damage. Even in end game, no character really holds a candle to Krieg or Salvador in terms of raw power (maybe you could argue Gaige does, but Anarchy is a pain to play optimally). To be clear, this doesn’t make Axton a bad character, he definitely holds his own in end game and has powerful enough builds. But, it’s not the same power as Sal or Krieg. It is true that there is no such thing as a perfect character balance, but that doesn’t mean that there should be an alarming gap between characters. It makes other playthroughs of the game annoying, especially if your first experience with the game is someone like Krieg. What is Axton’s equivalent to bloodsplosions? He doesn’t have anything close to that power, which makes playthroughs sometimes feel like a challenge run or just less interesting. TLDR; Character balance (the comparison of how good a character is during a game) in BL2 sucks when you compare anyone else to Krieg and Salvador, and it hurts how replayable the game is. If you start with Sal or Krieg (like I did), every other character seems underwhelming.
There's actually another issue that directly relates to the one you just brought up, and that is that at a certain point, content becomes balanced around the characters that are stronger. When designing new content, devs had to keep in mind that... Salvador exists, and can trivialize almost anything with the right combination of weapons. So naturally, to make a challenging new raid boss, there should be a mechanic that is difficult for Salvador to deal with, but the problem with that is that Salvador isn't really powerful because of something truly unique to him, he's powerful because he does what you will do on just about any vault hunter (which is... shoot stuff) much better. So something that makes Salvador struggle is going to make Axton have a true 'come to Jesus' moment. And as you said, it's not that it's not doable. But there's a clear difference between character balancing, and if content is balanced around the existence of a stronger character, it's going to make less optimal characters feel a lot worse. The solution to a problem like that shouldn't be 'just play a different character.'
Axton has Tediore build that can raidboss, Gaige is awful for farming, Sal is well pretty unbalanced, Krieg was the most difficult to do one life in and Maya is pretty strong but not to insane
@@Halimat2.0 Yes, every character has their benefits and downsides, but what those benefits are and how they are given to players make casual players not enjoy the game as much. For example, Axton does have a tediore build that raidbosses very well, but how many players only want to use tediore weapons, and how much time are all of the players who have played BL2 only farming raidbosses? In a casual playthrough, Axton’s skills (by end game) are not as fun, visually appealing or generally good. Axton has viable builds, there are builds that even sweep endgame with the right gear, but you can’t say that the viable endgame Axton builds are in the same category as, say, Anarchy Gaige, Deputy Sal, or Bloodsplosion Krieg, in terms of how powerful they are. Again, Axton isn’t bad, there is no bad vault hunter in the entire Borderlands game series, but some are worse at playing the game than others, and BL2 has some of the biggest gaps between the power of characters.
@@keenetaylor8772 just use guns with splash on Axton like Torgue weapons or the Hornet and such and you can do normal op10 stuff easily the turrets even slag got you, the Phalanx shield counters the suction attack of terramorphous that otherwise is a guaranteed death (unless you cheese) Gaige may technically do more damage with anarchy but if you die once your damage is way less And Krieg is way worse in terms of survivability for the average player than Axton especially elemtal dot damage kills your Krieg fast
@@Halimat2.0Again, I'm not saying that Axton can't work. I'm well aware that he can, I basically mained Axton in BL2. The statement here is that because he has a much less overt and explosive power spike, it takes much more effort and frankly much more game knowledge to make Axton work than someone like Sal, or Gaige, or even Krieg or Zero. A lot of Axton's power comes from interactions that aren't clearly explained in the game, like Grenade splash and how that can be different from just regular bullets. Sure, it's something that would be obvious to someone who's played the game for a thousand or more hours. But again... not good design if to make one of the six characters work, you have to jump through dozens of hoops and understand dozens of technicalities, compared to another character who can work with minimal setup and effort. And to forestall a common quibble, I'm not saying Sal doesn't have mechanical complexity of plenty of technicalities to him. But you can make him work without having to understand much nuance because his power lies in very straightforward ways; use more gun.
I loved BL2. It's one of my top five games but the drop rate for legendary items was atrocious for a casual gamer. Like me. Tons of QoL changes, sure, but drop rates is the biggest for me. This is where I loved BL3. Sure, lots of useless legendary items but they were worth money and as you level up, you always need money.
Gearbox designs their maps with no idea of having a jet, a grappilng hook or something (old practices) thats why were "cut", Ellie told you that in Sanctuary as a joke (but in Behind the scenes they told that)
i would also add: - getting stuck everywhere while walking or running with just a curb height or absolutely nothing. Often with deadly effects because you try to evade and you stay in place - money is absolutely useless and slot machines are obnoxiously unpractical to operate - not only leveling is atrociously slow and repetitive, we don't even have a decently large enough shared stash where to put decent leveling weapons to ease the pain and no fricking way to make mules unless you level up a new char until sanctuary. 2 hours every time. Oh yeah almost no loot is useful while leveling
The thing about borderlands 3 is that people don't like the drop rates. I absolutely love borderlands 2 but if you think it's end game is better than borderlands 3 you're on crack. The real, all content completed max level of borderlands 2 is absolutely garbage.
A final patch to balance weapons at end game would be massive. That to me is the biggest problem. Once ur in UVHM, it feels like 99% of the loot pool is unusable, and that margin gets even smaller for op levels. Also on op levels, I’ve found the game infinitely more fun if I ignore their existence entirely. The scaling of the levels is bad, rerunning it 10 times is too many, and re farming gear 5 times isn’t fun. If they had just made op 1,2, and 3 harder, but capped it at that, that would have been much better imo. You hit all the major problems in this video 👍
Part of the problem is that a lot of players got so used to overpowered weapons in normal/TVHM they never learned to use the rest. There's an old Derch video about understanding the snowman train drops. There's a LOT that can get you through UVHM, but you have to adapt and build around what you have. OP levels, though...
I genuinely didn’t even realize level cap was locked behind a paywall, had the game on Xbox then switched to a pc and obviously just bought all the dlc’s but the fact that a portion of a paid dlc is locked behind another paid dlc is insane to me
One of my biggest gripes was if you don't farm you don't see legendaries. I played through BL1 and BL2 on Normal and TVHM back to back, mostly only story missions to grind characters. In BL1 I got 20+ legendaries and in BL2 I only got 2. I think there should be more world drop instances and stuff like skin/head drops shouldn't happen if players in the game already have them (i.e. TVHM warrior drop was taken by Jack mask). I feel like TPS was perfect in so many aspects but the game lacked content for me and felt too easy so I didn't play it much.
Correction: melee feels great at OP10 IF you are playing as Zer0 AND you are using a Love Thumper...which means Read-only/dashboard/cloud save farming, because Love Thumpers with bad parts are a) very common and b) pretty much useless. Melee Krieg feels alright at OP10 too...if you're only planning to kill 1 enemy with melee attacks so that Bloodsplosion will take care of the other enemies. Actually approaching enemies is awful, and Krieg doesn't have Decepti0n, so... ...yeah, melee vs. OP10 is bad lmao
It's fun as melee krieg tho, prolly the most fun I have in borderlands is chasing people with my buzzaxe screaming random words while hitting myself on the face
I totally agree with you on the scaling comparisons of BL2 and BL3. I too am not one of those “Elite 1% Players” always rocket jumping, glitching, or using one or two “ perfect” builds for crazy damage. In BL2 the only class to play through OPs is Sal because he is just broken. But every other class starts falling short after OP 4, heck I would even say Gaige would have trouble getting there without focusing on anarchy and glitching. In BL3 I feel confident playing any class, at any difficulty, using whatever build I make, not even trying to copy those “God” Builds promoting crazy damage like most creators promote. Sometimes Moze feels squishy in those Takedown, but still not like playing OP 10 with any class in BL2.
Claptrap getting stuck happen to me for the first time yesterday lol. Never knew that was possible. I just walked away not knowing how to fix it, before I was gonna save and quit, it fixed itself
What you said were Quality of life Improvements and I wholeheartedly agree with everything you stated, I hate having to glitch kill Hyperius and gate crush Gee because their fights aren't fun or easy to do with specific characters
This game loves to waste your time. I play an aggressive style so I sold my snipers. I play a mission that requires I kill an enemy with a sniper, so I have to back track to a damn machine to buy a sniper. I find a gun for zed, and he wants me to test it on 25 bandits. 15 spawn, so I have to drive off and find more. Find some, but then I keep getting low on ammo, so I just said fuck it and quit. There were a few other instances, but I don’t want to type too much. I just noticed early that this game has me running around like a dipshit, and I’ll pass on that.
Funnily enough some of the issues i had at the start they actually fixed like having to keep playing the starting section which could now skip, one thing i will mention which was not mentioned as far as i can tell....DLC was actually finished way in advance as one of the DLC the Moxi wedding one had accidently included the whole of the crawmerax one and people on PC had hacked it and could play it months in advance
My problem with BL2 how the massive difficulty spike on UVHM. Every encounter felt like a boss fight and it just became tedious. To the point where I just said "I'm done." Getting 2-3 shotted by normal mobs when I have legendary gear only a lvl or 2 below the enemies level was frustrating.
Big reason why I play this game with the community patch. To me the biggest issue by far is the scaling and slag. UVHM is just tedious, getting health gated after one hit and then having to heal with the grog. Level 50 TVHM was pretty well balanced and slag was optional. The scaling also just makes it so your items fall off EXTREMELY quickly after just a few levels, in BL1 you could use a good gun for basically the entire playthrough.
That's why the BL1 loot system is my favorite. Getting legendaries wasn't impossible but it wasn't easy either and even then it's not like every legendary was equal, but a legendary like the Hellfire could carry you so far if you got it. I loved that.
@@measlesplease1266 Yeah Bl1 is my favourite in that regard as well. Your guns would last a pretty long time before falling off and health + shields didn't have a million numbers on max level.
I hate slag, but i thought it was fine in normal mode. It's when they made it like 300% more damage and scaled everything as if everyone's using the top 2% of gear AND FUCKING SLAG, where it really blows.
Never been a fan of the difference in difficulty level being a enemies health pool and/or damage resistance. Bullet sponges are boring. I prefer tactics, being changed. The enemy had three moves, now he has five. Instead of getting in your face, now he is more standoffish and has a different weapon set.
Db xenoverse did the same thing. The ultra instinct goku boss fight on normal difficulty is a straight up nightmare; he dodges everything as long as he’s got stamina his moves hit like a semi truck and his kamehameha is basically chewing through your health, but if you do it on easy you take little to no damage and the ai is slower and dumber. That’s the kind of difficulty I like making a boss hard through mechanics not just buffed stats cheap gimmicks
The game not having enemies scale is to give you that sense of power and gaining said power cause the games that do scale to your level end up having this well what really changed kinda vibe because the starting enemies are still just as powerful and deadly to you
There’s no sense of power or any reason to return to old maps if the enemies are 20 levels below you. The power comes from refining your build and gear. Then you go back and stomp those enemies even though they’re on level with you. Wonderlands nailed this and not much else
To be fair, Commander Lilith was completely free for a month I believe when it came out, plus it's included with the Pandora's box bundle, which is discounted if you own content inside it.
@@doubleupload5620 Yep, that would be me, for example. A veteran player who didn't pay enough attention to BL2 news at that time and was too preoccupied with work. To say that I was disappointed would be an understatement.
I hated playing this game by myself because it felt like I was always either grinding side missions for diminishing returns and dying whenever trying to progress the story. Friends would help by letting me mooch XP off of various farms but that still didn't help me have FUN with the game.
The only thing I don't agree is normal mode being the best mode. I really don't think UVHM is as hard as people make it to be. I do agree with op levels being very unfair tho
I think a lot of people like to wear the rose tinted glasses when it comes to Borderlands 2… specifically when they’re using it to crap on Borderlands 3 😂
When BL3 came out I automatically preferred it over BL2 but after dissecting its endgame and how many QoL changes that BL3 has I can’t go back to BL2 unless it’s for a mod or the community patch
Have you tried replaying 3? That’s the biggest issue the story, EVERY MISSION has MINIMUM 2 minutes of waiting for dialogue to finish or an NPC to slowly walk and it very quickly adds up
After 100%ing BL1 this became a very apparent flaw with the current designs. SO MUCH STANDING AROUND WAITING FOR SUBPAR DIALOGUE TO FINISH. Maybe we wouldn't hate the writing so much in 3 if we weren't forced to be inconvenienced by it. Rarely in BL1 are you not able to just keep holding W.@@christianc1120
The new OP level change made all my friends so jaded and fed up with the thought of having to refarm their entire min-max perfect weapon builds that they just used a Save Editor to cheat past the entire grind. I honestly cant blame them, all thise years with no DLC or changes and suddenly you have to basically redo your entire character build from the start again by farming ALL of your gear.
This video really shows the absolute dreadfulness of the end game in BL2. I see so many people complain about BL3 end game balancing like it's the worst thing in the franchise, but BL2 is far and away worse than BL3. And the character balancing in BL2. YIKES. I love the game to death, I really do, but there are glaring issues that people either refuse to accept or refuse to see. Also can't wait for the Pre-Sequel version of this series! For it's flaws, I still enjoy that game quite a bit.
It's nice that BL3 moved away from having enemies so bullet sponge-y that you NEEDED slag or a Grog Nozzle to get you thru the encounter- that being said IMO mission weapons like the Grog should have a chance to appear as world drops once you've completed the game/dlc. It can be made less effective to still make the game more challenging or better yet, increase the healing abilities of character skills or items to lessen the need for such an item. Also, as far as bosses at max level, how about allowing critical hits to ignore damage reduction? This would make fighting raid bosses like Dexi a lot less tedious.
People say that you don't NEED Slag to play UVHM, but that's a lot of BS. Non-slagged enemies will heal almost as fast as a Gunzerking Salvador that's right up in their face can damage them.
I love this game, doing an OP 10 full clear with my oldest son right now… but yeah, some of these things are SO frustrating. Locking gear behind mission rewards, not being able to repeat certain slaughter domes, the general disappointment of pearls, non skipable cutscenes, and how freaking FRUSTRATING it can be to play at higher OP levels are real issues.
8:52 that happened to me on my 2nd play through just the other night i thought my save was done for until i restarted the game and it was fixed. never seen that before haha
Although I put myself through the hell that is UVHM on every character, I didn’t have it in me to finish them all plus DLC. The fact that it’s mandatory to run meta gear and skills, the majority of legendary and pearlescent gear are paperweights, and slagging every enemy to deal any worthwhile damage is what ultimately drove me away from BL2’s endgame, and I’ve never wanted to go back to relive my trauma ever since. I could even argue that I’ve spent more time in BL3’s endgame than BL2’s.
Same. I maxed ONE character all the way to OP10 and farmed the exact gear I wanted. That was Sal. That's it. Never want to do that again. When I play the game again, which I will at some point, probably running normal mode and then calling it a day
yeah as someone who did do all characters to op10 I will never do it again. After going for a more or less perfect Maya I'm almost burnt out on BL as a whole, but when I tried maxing a BL3 character I was amazed at how much faster it is. I haven't touched BL2's endgame since I started BL3.
alot of the legendarys are good if you build for them on the character that buff them and can be viable options to use even on op levels and especially during the op10 grind i often use legendarys or other uniques i normally wouldn't use just because they are strong and easily refarmable
im the same way. at 6 characters and 3 playthroughs each unless you want multiple quest rewards on consoles you want me to play the story 18 times?? no. no thanks.
There's also the mission where you have to search into skag poop in Lynchwood that's glitched (playing on PC). I always have to quit the game in order for this poop pile to be clickable. Plus : Movement feels clunky in lots od situations. There was no attention to details in the way Saly's skills ans weapon bonuses triggers or not on the left hand. Multiplicative and additive bonuses cannot be figured out in-game. The way crit bonuses are written on snipers's cards makes it uncomprehensible. Etc. The game is great, but it's not that greatly developped.
i remember when i was really young playing bl2 on my ps3 i was so confused on how ppl like you and joltz were farming mission rewards and never figured out how to cloud save. kinda just assumed it was impossible on ps3 or just too tedious too do
My biggest gripe with BL2 is that all the vault hunters are completely random in terms of balance. Try telling me with a straight face that Commander and Gunzerker are on the same level. I dare you.
uh oh I wonder how many people will get annoyed at this vid. It seems a lot of fans just throw all of BL2s issues out the window and just dog on BL3 nowadays. I love BL2 but it has so many issues and balance is probably its worst one imo. I am someone who plays BL2 up to OP10 ( Used to be 8 ) as well so I know it all too well... Also cant lie the build diversity is kinda meh in BL2.
Well, I started my EWW series on my FAVORITE, so let them say whatever. I'm calling out the problems in every game: th-cam.com/video/eZLvZTr9Erk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OMxlLES6SZLxHfCz
I love BL2 but to ignore the many flaws this game has is just silly. I would argue even the writing has flaws. The whole getting back to Sanctuary after it teleports is a huge waste of time. The fact that your character just stands in one spot whilst Jack shoots Roland is laughable. And I honestly wish Mordecai and Brick weren't supposedly killed and actually helped you fight the Warrior. It would've been more epic imo
@@masterknife8423 I actually don't think bl2 has a good story. I just think Jack is good and that's about it tbh. Plus I don't play bl for the story so to me 3 is the better game overall, although I still love 2 and regularly play it a ton.
It would be neat if instead of one individual movement option like jet packs or grapple hooks, it would be cooler if each vault hunter had a unique extra movement option. Maybe a grapple character, a wall running double jumping character, a jet pack guy and maybe a stealth character that can stick to walls and climbs with an addition of a stealth state of some sort.
I get really frustrated when I get a legendary at an important part of the game, and It's a mod for a different character. Also there should be a unique legendary in Roland's chest. Finally, on PlayStation there is a glitch where the final lootsplosion in the Torgue dlc gets stuck below the ground.
As a veteran slag was still my least favourite part of this game, it should’ve been reworked Each Vault Hunter should’ve had at least two or three ways to easily apply slag via their skill trees Slag at UVHM was 4× damage, it would've served better at 4.6× or 4.8× Slag has no DoT effect, it should’ve had some small, or even medium DoT And class mods or relics in general in UVHM should've given a "8% chance per shot to apply slag" effect on top of their already listed stats, or some other percentage to balance it out Would've made late game far more build friendly and accessible to casuals
Unforeseen applied slag instead of shock when Deception broke Axtons Phalanx shields applied instant slag to enemies that walked through the shields Maya's Converge had a chance to slag all enemies pulled Kriegs Raving Retribution had a small chance to occasionally fire a bonus homing slag ball Gaiges anarchy stacks gain another 3% chance to slag with every shot per 50 stacks These kinda changes could've made the game a lot smoother
Ultimate Mode is its biggest problem. Many can make it to OP10, but the curve is pretty insanely hard. I mean. To the point it becomes unfair and frustrating.
Every borderlands game needs to stop with the hidden damage math. I shouldn't need a phd to figure out what skills stack with what and how, as well as what skills scale with Op and mayhem or chaos levels. If it scales with end-game content, the skill card should show you the values you're actually getting.
It's very broad but I think the biggest issue is just "balance." I love almost everything in the game but the Balance no no good. It's similar in BL3, but I think BL2 is too hard where the looter shooter part doesn't matter and BL3 is too easy where it's boring. BL2 keeps me more interested but still the weapon options and everything feels too small. I don't even mind Slag tbh, I think it's designed somewhat bad but I think it's usable I don't mind the level 80 grind, I just would rather want more locations to farm vs just like Bad Maw or Zafford
Borderlands 2 is a game that without mods on PC would not be as highly rated as it is. It has many issues which went unresolved and this video touched upon some of the worst offenders. Though at [ 10:13 ] I do disagree with this to some extent especially considering that one of your points was 'lack of weapon variety due to farming op gear early on' [ 7:55 ] having a wider variety of variants to a weapon can make getting the right one far more enjoyable; Though that doesn't justify the weapon being useless because of bad parts. I would be interested to see more added to the guns in future borderlands games like Weapon Leveling (XP on your guns that let you upgrade them), Weapon Modifications (Remove Scopes on Snipers because do you ever need a scope in borderlands?), also BL2 pearls are just, like, why? atleast in BL1 getting a pearl feels rewarding and enticing even if you're probably not going to use it. I think people give slack to the end game progression because only die hard fans would have played the main story 3-4 times for a single character (continued in the offtopic section). Though, I would say the lack of transparency on weapon parts in BL2 is issue that nobody seems to talk about even this video does not mention it. There is no way a casual player of BL2 will know what Grip/Stock/Accessory/Shield Part they have without scowering some online reasource; Accesory is on the weapon but it doesn't state what it does in most cases, that is, Thrusting is obviously for melee but Tactical/Clean/Stiff are not immediately obvious (and this is only pistol accessories...) Kinda gets offtopic here: In contrast BL3 made getting into endgame much easier but the process of getting to endgame feels like a chore. Just the number of times where you are sat their listening to some forced exposition dump or are following some NPC with nothing to do. It is not like this was unavoidable either in BL2 when Angel betrays you she talks about why she did it while you are in the process of making your way back to sanctuary. Additionally, any exposition dump by Jack happens over the echo-network which is a far less intrusive way of conveying the information; Its not like BL2 is perfect here the Scarlett DLC has some notably slow sections (the entire Herbert sidequest is a chore on subsequent playthoughs). Finally, I am not a fan of the 'Skip to End Game Content' with the preset characters this just feels like a bandaid solution that undermines the core issue of which they are clearly aware of.
I couldn't agree more with the endgame part. People keep saying how they'd like a BL2 remake, but I'd rather have an update to enable level scaling after beating The Warrior and make BL2 endgame accessible even on normal for casuals like me. I feel like I'm missing out on bunch of stuff (like seraph and pearl gear) just because I can't handle UVHM... P.S. I know there are probably mods for the that, but I'm on console because I enjoy split screen a lot - much love for Gearbox for keeping split screen even in newer BL games
I'd say my biggest issue with this game is that I find quite a few of the enemies in this game to be incredibly annoying. Most notably threshers, stalkers, and rakks. I hate how threshers and stalkers seem to teleport all over the place and I'm constantly having to look around for them. One minute they're right in front of me and then they magically teleport behind me. For this reason I tend to avoid going to The Highlands as they seem most commonly found there. I've spent more time fighting those things than I should have because I'm always spinning the camera around trying to find where they went. Rakks are annoying because they fly around so fast which makes them hard to hit and they swoop down on your head when you least expect it. This is especially annoying when you're fighting large groups of enemies and then suddenly a flock of rakk comes swarming on top of you lol.
I don't celebrate Easter for the religious aspect. I do however have nephews. We dyed eggs last night and today I'm drawing Vault symbols on them. I told Ronan (he's turning 7 in April) and Kenny (just turned 3) to bring me all the Vault key fragments and he'll unlock the Vault. Then I have Nerf guns stashed away which will be used to defeat me in battle. I'll be wearing the Psycho Mask from the Bl3 pre-order and wielding a bunch of Minecraft melee weapons. The reward being baskets of goodies and money (from their grandparents).
@9:12 While most of these skills aren't worthwhile, I would disagree with Unf0reseen and Come at me bro. Come at me bro isn't inherently bad, it's just overshadowed by the other two capstones being really really good. Unf0reseen on the other hand can create quite fun playstyle for mobbing and can one shot mobs and smaller bosses at lvl 80 OP0 at minimum. It's not a bad skill by any means.
yeah i agree with everything in this vídeo, as someone who like to play with gaige o have a terrible time farming the fibber (because its the only weapon that works well without need to do a crazy farming) and get very disappointed with deathtrap being useless in end game plus the need to have anarchy to do a okay demage
Deathtrap's A.I and low survuvability at higher levels (Gaige gameplay in general tbh), the fact their solution to Maya's action skill was to make it just not fucking work on bosses hindering really critical skills for her.
What would somewhat solve the balance issues of endgame is actually optional difficultly increases, that have zero benefits besides the added challenge. Current bl2, BL3, and WLs "Best" loot is behind the highest difficulty the game offers instead of allowing players to get the best stuff at the level that they want to actually play the game. Taking the BL2 OP system and just not having OP level gear with balancing around that level of player power would be ideal for more of the playerbase than it currently sits at. The people that want to use the most broken items but still have some level of challenge can play on OP10 and people that just want a fun power fantasy get to play and farm the same "Best" gear in the game at the same time.
Reasons why I just switched over to the pre sequel. Love borderlands but can’t deal with bl2. Borderlands goty and tps have to be the best in my opinion
Uvhm was a nightmare. I loved the game, I got super good at it and it was fun. The issue is I can’t use many fun builds because of balancing. Not to mention I can’t beat some raid bosses alone unless I have deputy Sal :(
Unf0rseen is probably the least bad of the bad skills you picked. you can make a build around with the tricky spy class mod and it can be decently good for mobbing
I agree with basically everything except 8:00 , the legendary loot spread could definitely be improved but at least you have to go out of your way to get them. There's no reason to get a fastball or Harold in normal mode unless you're trying to cheese a couple levels. Normal mode is like you said the most fun part of the game for most people so why go out of the way to make it easy by farming the most op gear? I see a lot of people complain about how op meta gear is when you really don't have to use any of it until UVHM and even then there's still tons of variety for each character that people just ignore. I feel like so many people just speedrun to endgame and force themselves to use meta gear without ever trying new things, because they don't even do side missions unless they're for the meta gear. I give Joltz big props for this because he often showcases builds and does playthroughs where he has to get all the overlooked gear. I've said gear so many times lol. One of my biggest complaints with BL2 is weapon balancing on a base scale. There's a good chunk of weapons that are genuinely useless to use, even in normal mode. At the same time, like I mentioned people don't even try new things, and I love normal mode a lot for being able to use the majority of low end gear that falls off later on. Hyperion pistols, bandit shotguns, Dahl snipers, everything maliwan, etc. Good video !
100% agree with all your points, ive started to shift towards BL3 recently as my favourite. The gameplay is just alot more solid and in my opinion fun, plus the end game is just alot more enjoyable with more to do, less restrictions and alot more loot/build variety.
Absolutely. In fact I wish Moze was in BL2 instead of Salvador. She's so much more of a tank literally and figuratively and could breeze through TVHM and UVHM with no problems
In the weapon inspect mode in BL2, there are no tooltips for weapon parts. That's something I really liked about farming weapons in BL3, because it highlights the part and shows whether or not it is adding or taking something away. I hate when I have to break myself out of gaming mode to look up something online that should be explained in-game. Sure, I could try to memorize manufacturer parts, but I have ADHD and my short attention span is not conducive to that approach. I believe it also told you what unique/legendary modifiers each respective weapon had, but it's been a while since I played BL3, so I can't remember.
Well, if OP lvl10 is messed up, its not the original guys fault, its the ones who made BL3. What i would have loved to see in the Lilith DLC, is a Shredder like thing, like the one in Pre-Sequel. Would have loved if Zero's sniper build would be a bit better, atleast that stacking buff somewhat more easier for a more casual player and you wouldnt need to glitch it to make it usable.
Oh boy here we go, he's actually going to criticize the King. Hope you got your flame suit on man. No but seriously BL2 was legendary for so many reasons but it also had a lot and I mean A LOT of problems that some fans either don't want to acknowledge or for whatever reasons don't care. Looking back my biggest gripes were pacing, balance (especially single player BL2 was clearly designed for co-op) and itemization because hunting for legendaries wasn't even remotely fun, borderline torture honestly.
@@Ki11ersix I'm legitimately surprised that even Randy admitted Slag was a terrible idea. You could get away with not using it on normal but TVHM and above it was mandatory. Glad you mentioned ARs because that drove me nuts, along with how Axton basically had literally one viable build and it was basically just spamming grenades meanwhile Salvador could solo the entire game with near constant Gunzerking... Don't even get me started on b0re.
My best friend loves Gaige, but has never taken her to max level, or even lvl 50. Hes never had to endure shooting that fuckin box in eridium blight to stack Anarchy, its insane to me how Gaige and Krieg are so forgotten in the grand scheme of the game.
This game can have issues and still be great, I think people can’t separate fun with good.
My point exactly with these videos. In the BL3 one I even state that that's my favorite game in the franchise, but it's important to show the devs what the players love and hate in these games to hopefully keep them from avoiding mistakes in the future.

@@Ki11ersix you should check out warframe its free everywhere
Grinding to get an awesome new weapon and then it becoming useless after just a few encounters sucks
just leaving again the game after 50 because leveling is ATROCIOUS
Exactly
But on UVHM? with Voracidous? the game is no longer playable for anybody but masochists on those difficulties. xD
Good thing I am one...
@@nathanhendrickson790 not true tbh theres act alot of builds that are fun but yall just search up "best builds in borderlands"
Yeah balance is a huge problem. And I agree that OP levels are wildly unbalanced in how they're implemented (and the addition of that extra lvl 80 dlc was madness don't get me started on how scummy that is)
But my single biggest gripe hands down is the straight up NEED for a grog at high levels of play.
I never used or needed it or tons of slagging for that matter. I’m an above average player, and only play on console so no mods,

@@djnes2k7 bully for you
@michaelscarport Just because you're ok with it doesn't mean it isn't just bad game design.
Grog nozzle was once farmable for a limited time way back when
Sadly I was on Xbox 360 back then. I’m on a steam deck now so it’s long lost
I can see why some prefer 3 but to me 2 will always be better.
imho everything feels underpowered right now, i never went to UVHM because TVHM is already too painful
Do the badass token glitch and it will balance the game on UVHM to your liking.
@@jpesicka492 that may make it balanced but if you have to use a glitch to balance the game then the game is not balanced.
Or, don't make a mission item so important to end game that your never finish the mission 😂

Exactly. I wish Gearbox would just take the Patch and push it live for everyone.
Yep. BL2 has the WORST endgame balancing of ALL the games
well white, green and non unique blues should not be viable in endgame though otherwise it doesn't even feel like endgame
im not sure exactly what the last part means but there is maybe 2 non legendary weapons that can be used in endgame in bl3

@@waltlock8805 Those Gaige reloads killed me till I respecked it out.
@@keenetaylor8772 just use guns with splash on Axton like Torgue weapons or the Hornet and such and you can do normal op10 stuff easily the turrets even slag got you, the Phalanx shield counters the suction attack of terramorphous that otherwise is a guaranteed death (unless you cheese)
Gaige may technically do more damage with anarchy but if you die once your damage is way less
And Krieg is way worse in terms of survivability for the average player than Axton especially elemtal dot damage kills your Krieg fast
But you can make him work without having to understand much nuance because his power lies in very straightforward ways; use more gun.
for mission rewards id like them to be added to world loot once u beat that quest
Gearbox designs their maps with no idea of having a jet, a grappilng hook or something (old practices)
thats why were "cut", Ellie told you that in Sanctuary as a joke (but in Behind the scenes they told that)
The OP levels and the the fact you need to use slag in order to do any damage is baffling to me how they thought thats a good idea
i would also add:
- getting stuck everywhere while walking or running with just a curb height or absolutely nothing. Often with deadly effects because you try to evade and you stay in place
- money is absolutely useless and slot machines are obnoxiously unpractical to operate
- not only leveling is atrociously slow and repetitive, we don't even have a decently large enough shared stash where to put decent leveling weapons to ease the pain and no fricking way to make mules unless you level up a new char until sanctuary.
I genuinely didn’t even realize level cap was locked behind a paywall, had the game on Xbox then switched to a pc and obviously just bought all the dlc’s but the fact that a portion of a paid dlc is locked behind another paid dlc is insane to me
Thank you for reminding me why I didn't do endgame content for 2
One of my biggest gripes was if you don't farm you don't see legendaries.

The only thing better than barrel trolling your friend is forcing them to watch the dlc cutscenes as soon as you unlock the fast travel >:D
No game is perfect, even our favorites. Thank you for checking the rose tinted glasses every once in a while.
I always call out issues in all of the games I play, even the ones I love.
4:22 Well well well, your prayers have been answered haha
To anyone who says bl3 doesnt have visual pollution i say when i played it years ago i used the minimap during combat more than the actual screen
Oh it’s still bad lol
I hate slag, but i thought it was fine in normal mode.
It's when they made it like 300% more damage and scaled everything as if everyone's using the top 2% of gear AND FUCKING SLAG, where it really blows.
Never been a fan of the difference in difficulty level being a enemies health pool and/or damage resistance. Bullet sponges are boring. I prefer tactics, being changed. The enemy had three moves, now he has five. Instead of getting in your face, now he is more standoffish and has a different weapon set.
Yeah Phantasy Star Online did this. They made enemies faster, stronger and even gave them a skin change.
Monster Hunter is the King of this.

I honestly cant blame them, all thise years with no DLC or changes and suddenly you have to basically redo your entire character build from the start again by farming ALL of your gear.
That's one scummy thing Gearbox does. Just raising the level cap randomly years later. I just came back to BL3 and it went from 65 to 72.
Exactly
It's nice that BL3 moved away from having enemies so bullet sponge-y that you NEEDED slag or a Grog Nozzle to get you thru the encounter- that being said IMO mission weapons like the Grog should have a chance to appear as world drops once you've completed the game/dlc. It can be made less effective to still make the game more challenging or better yet, increase the healing abilities of character skills or items to lessen the need for such an item. Also, as far as bosses at max level, how about allowing critical hits to ignore damage reduction? This would make fighting raid bosses like Dexi a lot less tedious.
the critical hits are the only ones on dexidious without massive damage reduction

It truly is one of the best games of all time.

This is the most polite roast ive ever seen. Love the content. Hopefully they see this and make BL4 super dope
Plus :
Movement feels clunky in lots od situations.

The fact that your character just stands in one spot whilst Jack shoots Roland is laughable.
The fact i had to use eridium to get bank/backpack space was bad, im glad the third game fixed it
I get really frustrated when I get a legendary at an important part of the game, and It's a mod for a different character. Also there should be a unique legendary in Roland's chest. Finally, on PlayStation there is a glitch where the final lootsplosion in the Torgue dlc gets stuck below the ground.
I mean the lootsplosion is pretty disappointing anyways so you’re not missing out on much
As a veteran slag was still my least favourite part of this game, it should’ve been reworked
Each Vault Hunter should’ve had at least two or three ways to easily apply slag via their skill trees
Slag at UVHM was 4× damage, it would've served better at 4.6× or 4.8×
Slag has no DoT effect, it should’ve had some small, or even medium DoT
And class mods or relics in general in UVHM should've given a "8% chance per shot to apply slag" effect on top of their already listed stats, or some other percentage to balance it out
Would've made late game far more build friendly and accessible to casuals
Unforeseen applied slag instead of shock when Deception broke
Axtons Phalanx shields applied instant slag to enemies that walked through the shields
Maya's Converge had a chance to slag all enemies pulled
Kriegs Raving Retribution had a small chance to occasionally fire a bonus homing slag ball
Gaiges anarchy stacks gain another 3% chance to slag with every shot per 50 stacks
These kinda changes could've made the game a lot smoother
I don't even mind Slag tbh, I think it's designed somewhat bad but I think it's usable
I don't mind the level 80 grind, I just would rather want more locations to farm vs just like Bad Maw or Zafford
There is no way a casual player of BL2 will know what Grip/Stock/Accessory/Shield Part they have without scowering some online reasource; Accesory is on the weapon but it doesn't state what it does in most cases, that is, Thrusting is obviously for melee but Tactical/Clean/Stiff are not immediately obvious (and this is only pistol accessories...)
Kinda gets offtopic here:
In contrast BL3 made getting into endgame much easier but the process of getting to endgame feels like a chore.
Damn. That sounds baller.
This is the peak of living
That sounds awesome ! What a cool uncle. Also Jesus loves you ❤

Yeah I meant as a Capstone CamB is just there for the lols.
yeah i agree with everything in this vídeo, as someone who like to play with gaige o have a terrible time farming the fibber (because its the only weapon that works well without need to do a crazy farming) and get very disappointed with deathtrap being useless in end game plus the need to have anarchy to do a okay demage
Deathtrap's A.I and low survuvability at higher levels (Gaige gameplay in general tbh), the fact their solution to Maya's action skill was to make it just not fucking work on bosses hindering really critical skills for her.
Wilhelm in Pre-Sequel really feels like a response to the problems people had with Gaige and Deathtrap
I remember finding out about op levels and how they work and ditching bl2 for another game at that time
What would somewhat solve the balance issues of endgame is actually optional difficultly increases, that have zero benefits besides the added challenge.
How is ammo regen being exclusive to Salvador not mentioned?
Reasons why I just switched over to the pre sequel. Love borderlands but can’t deal with bl2. Borderlands goty and tps have to be the best in my opinion
Personally I can't stand the pre sequel, feels like a slog the entire time.
My biggest problem with BL2 is slag and how its implemented in uvhm.
Same, I can’t enjoy BL2 anymore unless it’s with mods. The game is a whole slog to go through
Slag dependency was a buzz kill for me. I just.quit and waited for BL3
Whoever made the call on OP10 they failed
Oh boy here we go, he's actually going to criticize the King. Hope you got your flame suit on man.
No but seriously BL2 was legendary for so many reasons but it also had a lot and I mean A LOT of problems that some fans either don't want to acknowledge or for whatever reasons don't care.
Looking back my biggest gripes were pacing, balance (especially single player BL2 was clearly designed for co-op) and itemization because hunting for legendaries wasn't even remotely fun, borderline torture honestly.
People can be mad about this one, but it doesn’t negate facts.
Endgame always felt so unrewarding, aside from bragging rites. 😂
you nailed everything I could think of
