Hi all! This is Dustin Vuong Nguyen, the English voice of Zhou Yu and Xiahou Yuan in DW: Origins. I'm excited to see so much hype surrounding the game. See you on the battlefields in January!
This is so darn awesome! Thank you for checking out my video and for your work on the game! Can’t wait to hear you bring these characters to life in January! P.S Zhou Yu has been one of my favorite characters since I’ve been a kid! I can’t wait to see how you do him justice 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Too much is missing. Making a entirely different game is fine but they shouldn't even pretend that this is a Dynasty Warriors title. We don't have a game in the series catalog that has had this much missing content and functionality.
I will say that even though the story only goes to Chibi, based on the datamine, they packed in so much content and so many battles within that time period across all three kingdom pathways that makes me optimistic that the story is going to be more fleshed out than what we’re accustomed to seeing. In addition, it will be interesting to see how they tell the story through the POV of the protagonist depending on which path you take.
It doesn't have content that's a fiction. There aren't many battles that happened up to CHI BI so not sure where you're getting that from. To narrow this down with how bad of an idea this is: the game's name sake romance of the three kingdoms doesn't even occur until well after the events of CHI BI and Shu's conquest of western china, thus dividing the lands into 3. This isn't a good thing. This is the film ending before finishing your soda. Directed by M. Night Shamalan
You didn't miss anything it was awful. I think 9 had some interesting concepts but it was horribly implemented. It was so tedious I couldn't finish the first playthrough. And if you weren't careful you could miss multiple character unlocks and be forced to play again and still miss characters because you didn't do a specific quest or meet an npc at the right time which created a butterfly effect
Honestly, I'm all for Origins and believe it's amazing from what I played. However, I do think some of the concerns people have is fair considering the drastic changes they're taking. Personally, I think removing the roster of playable officers was an extreme move. I believe it would've been better to downsize the roster rather than being reduced to just the MC. I also think they could've atleast added some sort of character customization like letting the MC wear different armors just to make the player experience more personalized. Outside of those things, I still really enjoyed the Origins demo and I'm excited to see what else it'll offer
I personally would've rather seen an in depth character customization so we can make our own Warriors tbh. Having 1 MC kind of blows, but oh well I'll still play.
@@RuudriickReborn I'm pretty sure there will be character customization. They had that feature for the other DW games especially Empire versions. It's not a new concept to them.
I played 3 and 4 and haven't played since 6. I have some high hopes for the potential of this game and possible sequels after this. The gameplay for a demo felt solid, very solid. The difficulty for Lu Bu was nostalgic and felt as difficult as back in the day.
Honestly DW3-5 got it right with Weapon Attacks to prevent cloning; the first 3 attacks are similar but attacks 4-6 were custom to each warrior. DW8 went too far with individual weapons that it got out of hand - jet powered siege spear, drill bit Lance, giant tonga spear Cannon, buzzsaw pike, etc.
We've seen this story told at least 3 or 4 times. We all know it relatively well. I'm excited to see a shake up where we are taking a look at it all from a fresh perspective.
@BigCyan at least 3 or 4 times was me accounting for fans who stopped playing after earlier games. There's people who stopped after 5 and others who refused to touch the spin off.
I'm on the positive side of this. It took some of the best aspects from Empires, Tactics, 9 and the old original series. They reduced the cloning and made weapons feel unique again. They made the battlefield more immersive then before. I wish they had dropped a small demo just to see how the world map played out with a skirmish and key battle so you know how it flows between the action. But cant have it all in a demo and I get it. Either way im stoaked for it. P.S Dont expect "Critics" from jounos to enjoy it.... many of them cant handle complexity the way the average gamer can. Lol
Facts! I like the way you put everything! I’m on the positive side as well, I think this is the refresh that the series needed! And yeah, I still see critics will probably give this a 6 or a 7, can’t ever please em lol. Thanks for your comment fam
Dynasty Warriors Origins make or break will be what other content they offer in the game. I don't know if they are necessarily cutting back, depending on how many different weapons they include it could balance nicely. Will there be free mode? Will they you battle with other characters in that over time? Or will it just be dlc story add ons that include extra battles? There are many questions to be answered so far, one thing I would love to see is Meng Huo and Zhu Rong with elephants on the field in this.
It just so happens that I have friends who hold these two different views. I wish to have more special characters especially they are important in the story. They may not have to be controllable. (Like Cao Ren, etc.) Also, DW Origin really does a great job on the action part. But only 9 temporary control characters in DW is not a great idea. Even we have more in Fate Samurai Remnant. At least we need to control lv Bu. I hope the reason they cut all other characters is not just to sell them as DLCs.
I have a feeling that some battles will end with a commander fight and others will end with a epic army clash from what I've seen from the other DWO's official videos. It just doesn't make sense for every battle to have a commander fight as challenging as Lu Bu's but it doesn't mean it's the only way to put a good challenge.
I’m a returning fan and I love what I see here. Glad this game is getting attention. I think a lot of the current long term fans’s concerns are valid. I would’ve liked to play as historical figures especially since we can’t create a character but overall there is mostly support being shown to the game by people and a healthy bit of skepticism from the long term fans. I already put in a preorder cause I got 8 hours on the demo and loved what I experienced. Can’t wait to play the hell out of this game.
To be honest, I personally prefer the removal of the unnecessary and boring characters, i never use them and i hate being forced to play as them, however I will always stick with the OG characters (zhang Liao - zhang fei - guan yu - xiahou dun)
I thought the storyline concept is very interesting and this just might be the game that can refreshes the series. Thing is, with DW being pretty well known for it's modes that allow you to use custom character, having "Wanderer" as the main character and then making him entirely unmodifiable makes the game and story felt extremely far off from all modes. It's not a historical officer storyline mode, and it also isn't a custom character RPG modes.
I just really want PVP in a Dynasty Warriors game. It has the formula to do it with the HUGE battles and being able to have a number of Troops. Also wish we could just have an in depth character customization too.
Im totally into playing the Wanderer here like he got no Name but about to make himself one. He looks imo more badass than Lu Bu i like his outfit and movement and i personally prefer having and own Character and fight alongside these Legends than playing them itself reminds me of DW5 Extreme Legends Destiny Mode where you created your own Char.
I 100% believe its the reboot the franchise needed 9/9e weren’t great Koei seem to be listening to their community more recently and seeing them work more with creators who have large western communities is good too But i do believe lots will be cash grabbed such as weapons, clothing and characters, the customisation/sandbox thats missing will give them a reason the make an empires version which ill 100% invest in lol
I've never actually played a Dynasty Warriors game (or even themed spinoff like Persona Strikers) but there was this absolutely fantastic Dynasty Warriors music video set to Freedom Call's "Warriors" that was beyond epic and earned a place forever in my playlist. lol!
This is definitely the refresh the series needed. I just downloaded DW8XL and did a map. It's definitely feeling dated. Hero mode is also way better balanced! I tried the default free mode stage of DW8XL on Hard and you can't even dent Lu Bu with the musou attack.
@@Greatsharkbite I didn't say it was bad, I said it's dated by today's standards. Which it is. I played a bunch on Vita and yeah, I really enjoyed it. But now I have it on PS5 and wanted to see how it holds up.
*The new game mechanics in Origins are a step in the right direction. However, movesets continue to feel more handicapped. In the demo, I was able to capture a base only by spamming square while blindfolded.*
From the production perspective, Origins is a 10/10 attempt. Many friends of mine got bored with DW's old-school action system, which gets boring very quickly. The new action system has a good balance, and you can easily cheese an NPC with soldiers, yet it can be a challenge like the Lu Bu in the end. 94 characters is a pain for production, especially if you want to keep the characters' uniqueness. They will come back in the future, but I think Origins can really set the new tone for DW better than DW9(even though "if" DW9 actually can deliver to the hype, that would be even better) I don't think Origins is a reboot, but it is more like DW6 and DW9. Koei always wants to seek the next step for the series. DW6's action made it boring, but it introduced a better level design that can also be seen in later series. DW9 tried to bring the "reality" of the battlefield and tactical freedom to DW, but the concept was too big for them to make it come true. A modernised action system DW might just hit the sweet spot.
I play Musou games since DW2 and, concerning the mainline serie, it's the biggest upgrade we saw from the last 25 years. I don't know what people complaining are smoking. Sure, with all that happens on screen it may seem "messy", but after the sad emptiness that was DW10, this feel really good.
I've said it elsewhere that all dw8 had to do is remove weapon swapping, that would make every warrior in that game have a unique moveset, So its very possible it could be both. Uping the combat while removing weapons.
@@kali-qgames1301 it’s mostly the hard-core fans of 7 and 8 that are being negative about it because they can’t stop looking at this as a main line entry versus it being a spinoff.
As someone who been playing since DW2. They should of just gave us DW10 at this point. This gameplay with being able to play as the full roaster would’ve put it back on track. They ALMOST got it right😂😂😂
Im all in favor for Origins. I havent played every Dynasty Warriors but have played many of the spin off/other IP Warriors games and love them to bits. The problem I've had with any of them is the feedback you get from fighting doesnt match with whats happening on screen. Both Audiovisual and sensory feedback doesnt particularly feel spectacular even though hundreds of grunts go flying with every swing. Origins has nailed it on the feedback front. Sounds, visuals and how weighty combat feels makes you actaully feel like a badass when mowing through grunts and the captains/other officers that you can lock on to actually put up a fight instead of getting juggled into a corner. The weapons all having unique movesets instead of just being press Square X times then hit Triangle is also a massive improvement in my eyes. If every weapon has a unique moveset and they spend a bit of time creating unique battle scenarios that utilise the tactics you can give your squad then this will be the best Warriors game in years
I’m excited, I do play these games regularly though. The perfect parry and dodge systems have me interested especially. They had a system that felt like that in Fate: Samurai Remnant but it felt out of place there, maybe because of the art style and speed of the rest of that game? But the weight of the characters and art style here feels fitting to the game play and it has me pumped.
I hope this doesn't mean that they'll stop introducing new characters in the future as guessing who would make the roster was always one of the best ways to looking forward to the game (Dynasty Warriors 6 made this decision and suffered greatly for it, apart from other things such as lazy cloning and gameplay not feeling right). 3 introduced me, 5 was my favorite for a long time, 7 & 8 were awesome because of the introduction of the Jin Dynasty and having both historical and what-if scenarios resulting in great replay potential. As long as it doesn't try too hard like 9 everything should be fine ... especially if it doesn't have the DW9 English Dub (DW4-8 had the best voices, hamminess was part of the fun.)
Im a hardcore DW fan and Im loving everything about Origins. Because Im not allergic to change and this change is much needed for the stagnant sereies.
That’s where I’m at top fam! Obviously the formula needed to be changed! That’s why we are where we are now! I can’t wait to get my hands on the full game!
I actually like the game. It needed a major refresh. But this is pretty damn dope. I just hope we can use other characters aside from the mc...itll be interesting to see how they handle the rest of the game and going forward with the series. So ill give it a chance.
I am not into this franchise, I saw by chance the demo on a stream and it took immediately my attention. So I tried the demo and this game got my full interest. I thought (maybe wrongly) musou games were all about 'button mashing' but this experience brought me on a very different level of perception and I love how the combat mechanics are merged with a tactical approach. Even speaking about the simple one on one fight the game seems very technical like ad action game made by Team Ninja, I appreciated it expecially during the final fight against Lu Bu that on hard difficulty made me study the enemy's moveset with care before being able to beat him. I really hope that they will add the multiplayer coop because it will remind me of the times when I used to play older dynasty warriors' game on PS2 with my best friend and we want to play again together
@@ONIGIRIKINGU Just because changes have been made, does not make it fake. Otherwise games as far back as DW 3 are fakes too, because they are not carbon copies of the original DW
I’m loving what I’m seeing so far! Idk why some fans are so skeptical of it. I get that 9 was Rough, but with the demo for this out I think it’s fair to separate this from 9 and look to a bright future for the series!
Nice to see repeated coverage on DW stuff! Would you consider covering other Koei Tecmos games from the various studios they own? Like Omega Force's - Team Ninja's and Gust's games? Cheers
I'm conflicted. On the one hand I love the gameplay and overall presentation. On the other hand... I hate not being able to fully play other characters. I'm actually OK with them downsizing the roster because it was unsustainably bloated but this was almost too far going with 1 character and 9 "semi-playable" characters. Hopefully the next game will strike the right balance.
The gameplay is fantastic but not being able to play as the officers is terrible and the story ending on Chibi also concerns me a lot. The gameplay is worth full price, but the content might not be. I'll wait for reviews when the game launches.
Yeah those were my concerns as well fam! I guess we shall see in January if this latest effort and gamble was the right decision for the series.! Thanks for watching! See you in January
Dont care how no one feels i am pre - ordering this shit as soon as the check clears 😅 i bought and put 300hrs in dw9, 200hrs in 8XL and 100hrs in wolong all this yr im coping this day one this will most likely be better than 9 and i still played that im sold simply
A critic i have for this game demo is the officer just go past tenst too quickly, even the named character lose to generic. I'm afraid it will make you feel like you're the only competent officers in your army or you are frantically go from the edg of the map to the other, just trying to save that one important character from canceling their life subscription fighting against gemeric That, and i heard that you can't customize the wanderer. Which i feel like a very lazy design because, in my opinion, a speechless character with the illusion of choices dialog is meant to be customizable. If they are thinking about going for the uncustomizable route, then at least give the wanderer some kind of personality amd give us some meaningfully dialog in the main game
The leading speculation is that the nameless character is supposed to be Liao Hua, and if that's the route they're going then it makes sense why we can't customize it (well except for clothing).
Hey, I play it demo DW Origins & I didn't like it that is so easy to crush standard soldiers. They should be more difficult to go against on at least hero difficulty.
Nope this game is garbage for one main reason: the dodge/parry system doesn’t work in this setting. It doesn’t make sense to have a mechanic that is built for condensed, 1 vs few combat, used for a game in which you’re facing 50-100 enemies on screen. And yes, you do actually have to parry everyone at the right time, not just officers. Even the little guys can do a ton of damage. The gameplay is both repetitive and stressful, resulting in something incredibly unrewarding. This will obviously have its fair share of basement dweller Team Ninja fans…but that’s about it. Good job on alienating the entire core audience of your games Koei.
I respect your opinion! Especially after such a detailed comment! I did really enjoy my time with this demo though and I’m hyped for it. I do see where you are coming from though
Souls in Dynasty Warriors? And missing over 80% of its content? Tell me why this feels like another disaster waiting to happen? Next tell me how we already know it was made for consoles, a China release and Sony involved. Anyone?
I don't think all allies need buffs persay, but key allies definitely do... any known named officer on the allied side shouldn't tell you they are struggling and die with 15 seconds of that(Cao Cao, Lui Bei ect). Named/Reknown officers need a bit more resilience to them imo. But overall, everyone feels mortal and not just time stallers in this one at least.
I'm remaining unimpressed..DW Origins is an intro of "return to form". But it's not a main flag ship DW game. Been a DW player since DW2 and all I see in Origins is a reboot of the gameplay as a way to capture new players while laying the ground work for Dynasty Warriors 10. Expect more aggressive pages upon pages of DLC.
Im not very concerned about the roster. It sucks to have many of the iconic heroes gone, but it's gotten to a point where theres too many cookie cutter and forgettable characters. If people aren't happy with the final product I'll always recommend Arslan: The Warriors of Legend. One of KT's best spinoffs
I honestly like that you can play as them on the side and they help you out. Like when I switch to guan yu it's like pulling out the big guns and I think that makes them feel so much more powerful and meaningful. I also like the wanderer aspect like that is us witnessing this epic story. Just hope they have more outfits lol
First, kpop idol character are cool. Second, half the cast got the bishonen traitement. Third, MC is the biggest twink KT have ever create, so that argument don't make any sense T.T For the rest im ok
For me, a fan since 4, it needed to happen. While I still would play the new ones apart from 9 it just lost for me what made me love the games as a kid. I couldn't stand the clone movesets and the like. The games got too bloated trying to do anything so taking a step backwards and focusing on a smaller subsection of the era is the right thing to do for me.
Lack of customization may take a toll on this game...no options to change your armor, weapon skins, facial appearance/gender, or your gaurds/horses armor just boils this game down hack and slash and cinematics. There's not even any blood or actual killing. Its gonna get stale soon.
Was fooled by FF16 and it’a desire to capture new fans while leaving its old ones behind. Not fooling me again just because the demo is fun. This game will not last and a couple hours in I’ll get bored af playing yet another game turned dodge-filled ARPG. Just because DW wasn’t a huge triple A title doesn’t mean it needed a redesign. I know what I want from a DW game and this ain’t it.
internet talking video 1 day ago, 4.4k views. yawn* No matter how much i used to love playing DW. It probably won't make much waves outside of the community.
I’m loving the origins demo. The only thing I wish was they brought back the destiny mode music this could have really killed the scene if they labeled this as a destiny mode with character creator lol but still looks amazing, and felt amazing first time pre ordering a DW and i’ve played everyone since DW5
That’s awesome to hear! I agree, I wish the character was definitely customizable! They may have dropped the ball on that one! But I’m glad you are enjoying Origins! See you in January fam!
DW6 was ok. At the time, it was a drastic change and the first game to start the character roster cuts and moveset swaps. In a way, it started this path of cloning and generic looking weapons and designs. Also took out my favorite character, so I was salty! Gave Sun Ce a spear, gave Change He a spear etc
@@kali-qgames1301 I just remember liking the weapon upgrade system more in that game. But its been so long since ive played it or really any of them to remember more details beyond that. The only thing so far i really dislike about Origins is the lack of co-op. That is just criminal. But i am still looking forward to playing the full release.
I hate the weapon arts tbh i much rather prefer the movesets and the hyper armor is trash. I found myself getting frustrated being hit in the middle of my combo cuz the officer didnt feel like getting staggered anymore
I haven’t been excited since 4. Everyone had told me 8, and orichi games were where it was at. I definitely had fun with them, but I actually jumped ship to Sengoku Basara (even playing Japanese Sumararu). After that demo? I’m coming back to DW!!
Back then we also had Senguko basra..that game is also about feudal Japan with the same Japanese characters from samurai warriors but Senguko basra was way way more fun lots of items outfits different moves for each characters secret moves amazing side events during battle varieties of special amazing things in one game, Sadly it's only available on Japanese psn
I like the game a lot , the gameplay, the music which includes remixes from previous titles are amazing. Even though it’s a spin off and it’s not Dw10 but they can use this as a template of what we want for DW10 , my only cons are 3 things. 1. I thought we would’ve had a character creation with this whole “Wanderer” gimmick , not just some generic guy with amnesia and no options. 2. The allied forces can’t seem to hold it down on their own even for just a bit on hero difficulty, I’m all for being the “hero” and morale shifts but the allies should have a bit better AI and strength , feels like I had no choice but to babysit Yuan Shao in the demo or he would die on . 3. I miss the original voice actors from DW3-DW8, I get that the VA for this game is better than DW9’s shitty VA, but it’s still not quite there , I was so familiar with everyone’s voices especially Lu Bu’s, the emotion and immersion is a must have idk why they dropped the ball on that once again and not pay the OGs😔.
I like this as a reboot but I feel like it needs maybe dlc .. like ending chibi and not wu zhang plains is going to urk me that being said all it takes is a update or 2 fix the playing as other characters and there are rumors of multiplayer so..a nice starting point with actual difficulty ok voice acting is a good start to move forward
Im actually surprised people are this positive bout the game. Stripping away all the characters was a bad idea. I think having all the characters and all their old weapons woulda been a smart choice. You dont need to keep adding more playable characters. If its true they didnt do all the battles, thats another negative. Im all for buying the game and seeing how it goes but this game aint it i feel. Just sucks i wanna play as all the old characters…not some random we dont even know. It makes it worse that we fight against the legacy characters but cant play as them. Its a tease. As a player since dw3, this game is kind of a let down for me. Ill def stay posted with your vids on the game though.
For me dw origins have nothing to do with the old warriors games. Thats what i like, to cleave through hords of enemy with the speed and combos from the old warriors games. Dont like these 1vs1 with the commanders its just to much, it feels like u dont do anything esle😅, idk maybe its just me. After i played dw origins i, bought samurai warriors 4 dx on steam. Damn u cant even compare the two games. For new players i can understand, but for the og warriors fans i dont think dw origins is the game they wanted. I am still waiting for the remaster of the old warriors games🙂
Remaster of the old games is exactly what I want so much! But everything you said is valid. As an OG, I’m not sure if Origins is the game I wanted, but I am open to try new things! As long as it’s better than trash DW9
@kali-qgames1301 maybe i give it another try after release. Never played dw9 🤣🤣 dw 1-5 and 7-8, sw 1-5 but 5 is the weakest. My all time favorite is sw 1-2, loved to play with hanzo ^^
rest of the cast is dlc. you know it i know it everybody knows it. But i will be buying. After 5th installment, I left dw series and been playing souls games and what not but these days, kinda crave mindless hack and slash dw offered now that i got tired of souls type of slow paced actions.
just another pointless scripted game when u thought sw5 roster was bad now u get only 10 dudes....o and u cant play them more than a minute before going back to generic dweeb 😆 pass
I don't think the fact we're an insert character really strips anything personally I think the game as it stands has not been it's best for a long time I think I'm it's struggled in recent times actually I personally hated it since 5 4 had my hart But it's been a very long time for 1 of these games to speak to me and they don't come around like other games even though this would be the 10th installment then last game was PS4 and the 1 before you could play on PS3😂 excluding XL and empires of course So I think a switch up might just be what's needed I find the demo awesome I love the new changes made I feel it could do more infact since we're now a general I don't like that the allies are so easily killed or distracted For example on the demo sun jian gets ambushed pretty quickly on the left side If U don't help No one else U personally don't help he dies... In other games I'm an officer and I'm orderd to go hear save them do this kill them etc etc Now I'm a general why can't I send officers to go help this person Why does it still have to be me I should be able to point and give orders in battle and say stay with yuanshou I'll go or I'll stay U go help and I'll continue with the plan If that fails then I'll go😂 That's my only gripe with the game in truth We're at a stage where all that's changed is a I can give a few tactical orders don't get me wrong it's welcome But I feel on the battlefield I should be able to give alot more orders and control things alot more At least that's my opinion Other than that it's flawless and I hope it does well

@BigCyan at least 3 or 4 times was me accounting for fans who stopped playing after earlier games. There's people who stopped after 5 and others who refused to touch the spin off.
@@aerdyn3635 I personally don't see why people like playing the same game for years. It gets boring quick for me
@BigCyan besides empires and the orochi series I don't really divert to the others
The Horse Calling control was a hassle tho.
Ah I forgot to mention that, I’m not the biggest fan of its placement. You’re right
My favorite DW was 7. Origins got me so hyped that I started playing 7 again.
7 still has the best story in my opinion, the music and the way they introduced Jin was so fire! Thanks for watching fam
Was a huge fan of Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends, hated 9, Cant wait to get my hands on this one
Same exact boat here! Are you impressed with the demo thus far?
I just downloaded DW8XL to my PS5 and I miss the contnuous musou attack when you hold circle from 3-5.
As a hardcore warriors fan, this game has got me pumped. i loved the demo gonna get this one
It feels fresh with a bit of learning curve now. Just need to find the right equipment, right stage strategy, and get good with combat.
Exactly, that’s what I was impressed with it. More sense to the combat and battles! Thanks for watching
It just so happens that I have friends who hold these two different views.
I wish to have more special characters especially they are important in the story. They may not have to be controllable. (Like Cao Ren, etc.)
Also, DW Origin really does a great job on the action part. But only 9 temporary control characters in DW is not a great idea. Even we have more in Fate Samurai Remnant.
At least we need to control lv Bu.
I hope the reason they cut all other characters is not just to sell them as DLCs.
Also, I am worried that only Lv Bu and Zhang Jiao get the boss fight scene. The demo might be the best part of the game.
Yeah, the game was becoming extremely bloated to be honest! It got to the point that even I was losing track and I’m a huge fan of
The only thing i have a problem with in this game is the fact we only have 9 weapons
Yes I do wish there was more! Hopefully we are impressed by what we will play in January
DW 5 is my fav I hated 6 for a while but omg do I love it now….. we need co-op… I’m in the middle…
I would love co op on this game so bad man
No coop= no buy for me. My brother and I played majority of dynasty warriors in coop, it was like our family game. Not a fan of no coop.
It's definitely going in the right direction. I'm looking forward to the full game 😊
You have to think of this game as a side entry Koei is doing to test the waters of the new format before they do a main entry.
It definitely better than what they did with 9, if Origin do well 10 will be much much better
Y'all just feeding their pockets as the put the least amount of effort in their franchise.
A 70 dollars side entry is crazy
I just really want PVP in a Dynasty Warriors game. It has the formula to do it with the HUGE battles and being able to have a number of Troops. Also wish we could just have an in depth character customization too.
Im totally into playing the Wanderer here like he got no Name but about to make himself one. He looks imo more badass than Lu Bu i like his outfit and movement and i personally prefer having and own Character and fight alongside these Legends than playing them itself reminds me of DW5 Extreme Legends Destiny Mode where you created your own Char.
I 100% believe its the reboot the franchise needed 9/9e weren’t great
Koei seem to be listening to their community more recently and seeing them work more with creators who have large western communities is good too
But i do believe lots will be cash grabbed such as weapons, clothing and characters, the customisation/sandbox thats missing will give them a reason the make an empires version which ill 100% invest in lol
This is what DW9E Should be.
and I hope at full ver. we'll get draft to Faction like Wei Wu Shu or Yuan after this battle.
that will be great.
Day 1 buy as someone who started with DW2 on PS2. I know some older fans dont like the changes but I welcome it.
I've never actually played a Dynasty Warriors game (or even themed spinoff like Persona Strikers) but there was this absolutely fantastic Dynasty Warriors music video set to Freedom Call's "Warriors" that was beyond epic and earned a place forever in my playlist. lol!
Aha! Found it on TH-cam still as well, apparently based on DW5 and from 17 years ago now!
Yeah Dynasty warriors music is usually pretty sick and amazing!!
Finally downloaded and played the Demo. Wow… it’s gotten way more complicated since Dynasty Warriors 3 😅
Haha its definitely changed quite a bit hasn't it? 3 Will always still be my favorite!!
This is definitely the refresh the series needed. I just downloaded DW8XL and did a map. It's definitely feeling dated.
Hero mode is also way better balanced! I tried the default free mode stage of DW8XL on Hard and you can't even dent Lu Bu with the musou attack.
I like 8 lol and it was the first i played since dynasty warriors 5. Its to each their own tho.
Honestly dw8 was a very good game imo probably my second favorite after 4
@@Greatsharkbite I didn't say it was bad, I said it's dated by today's standards. Which it is.
I played a bunch on Vita and yeah, I really enjoyed it. But now I have it on PS5 and wanted to see how it holds up.
@@thatpersoneveryoneknowsbut7533 4 and 5 are my personal top 2.
They will come back in the future, but I think Origins can really set the new tone for DW better than DW9(even though "if" DW9 actually can deliver to the hype, that would be even better)
I don't think Origins is a reboot, but it is more like DW6 and DW9.
Think of this as the Yakuza: Like a Dragon of the Dynasty series. I am down with the demo.
That's actually a great way to put it! I didn't think of that and I'm fans of both
I play Musou games since DW2 and, concerning the mainline serie, it's the biggest upgrade we saw from the last 25 years.
Yep definitely agreed with you, 3 definitely at number 1 on my list.
I noticed majority of the videos are just flat out being critical it’s nice to see a positive outtake and hope Koei keeps going on the right path! 😁
Really? That’s interesting! I’ve seen a lot of positive previews this far
From my end, it's mixed to very positive reception at best.
They ALMOST got it right😂😂😂
Haha I can see what you mean! Hey you never know though, this could be the foundation for an amazing DW10 so lets let em cook!
No co op is heartbreaking me and my brother were looking forward to playing the heck out of this together, game feels amazing otherwise though.
If every weapon has a unique moveset and they spend a bit of time creating unique battle scenarios that utilise the tactics you can give your squad then this will be the best Warriors game in years
I’m weary cause I was so hyped about DW9 and we all know how that went.
And I will miss the character stories. I do hope they put out DW10 too.
I’m weary cause I was so hyped about DW9 and we all know how that went.
And I will miss the character stories.
I feel 50/50 at the moment. The gameplay is awesome but so many characters I enjoy gone.
I hope they keep promise and bring Lu Linqi daughter of Lu Bu because she was on Hu luo gate and xia pi.
I actually like the game. It needed a major refresh. But this is pretty damn dope. I just hope we can use other characters aside from the mc...itll be interesting to see how they handle the rest of the game and going forward with the series. So ill give it a chance.
This game looks promising, I'll definitely give it a shot
Thanks for checking out my video! I do recommend at least trying the demo! It was a blast!
Origin is fake DW. This is not what a true DW game should be like, a dark souls carbon copy
Cheers
I never really played one of these
But this one looks 🔥🔥🔥 and im pre ordering this shit
That’s so sick! I love hearing comments like that, shows me that this game might be something special! Thanks for watching fam
Koei Redemption Arc Incoming?
They got crazy greedy. I'm okay with letting it go.
Do you mean in terms of the characters or the series?
I'm afraid it will make you feel like you're the only competent officers in your army or you are frantically go from the edg of the map to the other, just trying to save that one important character from canceling their life subscription fighting against gemeric
That, and i heard that you can't customize the wanderer.
I like the warriors series, both dynasty and samurai but my most favorite one is the crossover series warriors orichi
Hey, I play it demo DW Origins & I didn't like it that is so easy to crush standard soldiers. They should be more difficult to go against on at least hero difficulty.
Ah that sucks, but I understand, it won’t be for everyone ya know?
Whaaa? Another Jiang wei fan? I thought i was suffering in silence from dw6 😂
Naaah I’m here fam! I got you! I’ll always rep the benevolent one. Haha but yeah, been a Jiang Wei fan since DW3
DW got me hyped!
@@roseshields2642 it's just amazing isn't it ;)
DW 4 and DW7 were best game in the series
8 was best ever rest trash
Souls in Dynasty Warriors? And missing over 80% of its content?
Tell me why this feels like another disaster waiting to happen? Next tell me how we already know it was made for consoles, a China release and Sony involved. Anyone?
We’ll definitely need to see! You could be right! But the reception seems pretty good so far!
The ai allies needs to be buffed so they dont die every 1 second other than that i really liked the demo
Don’t know if I should get it on Ps5 or PC
I’m grabbing it on PC fam! I can’t wait!!
I jumped into the series at 6 so everything before that isn’t relevant to me at all lol 8 is the peak of the series for me!
Third, MC is the biggest twink KT have ever create, so that argument don't make any sense T.T
For the rest im ok
For me, a fan since 4, it needed to happen. While I still would play the new ones apart from 9 it just lost for me what made me love the games as a kid. I couldn't stand the clone movesets and the like. The games got too bloated trying to do anything so taking a step backwards and focusing on a smaller subsection of the era is the right thing to do for me.
trying to do everything*
Lack of customization may take a toll on this game...no options to change your armor, weapon skins, facial appearance/gender, or your gaurds/horses armor just boils this game down hack and slash and cinematics. There's not even any blood or actual killing. Its gonna get stale soon.
The nameless protagonist with no customization and lack of playable characters 😭
If that was fixed, would you be hyped for Origins?
Was fooled by FF16 and it’a desire to capture new fans while leaving its old ones behind. Not fooling me again just because the demo is fun. This game will not last and a couple hours in I’ll get bored af playing yet another game turned dodge-filled ARPG. Just because DW wasn’t a huge triple A title doesn’t mean it needed a redesign. I know what I want from a DW game and this ain’t it.

No matter how much i used to love playing DW. It probably won't make much waves outside of the community.
You never really know though. This could be the game that really shakes up the gaming community. Too early to write it off.
I wonder what dynasty warriors 10 will look like.
Hopefully it will be epic fam!
Insane, and Empires 10 will be even moreso.
Fire video bro
Lu Bu should not be that damn op
Haha he is a menace
Why doesn't DW6 get any love?
Right? Everyone hates it. I've tried to go back and can't but when it came out I loved it
👍
👊🏿I can’t wait for this game
@kali-qgames1301 same can't wait to watch 😂
This game is a testing ground for the next main entry, people could stand to be a smidge less critical for that reason.
Will it be kingdom musou or individual musou though?
No
Bro they are charging 70 dollars and you want people to be less critical
The weapons are what makes Dw but they turned they back on what made the game what it was. Dw needs nemesis systems like
Im actually surprised people are this positive bout the game.
Why they force us to play as a gay character 😂
😂yooo
Idk bro dynasty warriors 9 was bad but dynasty warriors 6 was hot garbage
Haha I'm torn, both were dumpster fire! I at least played through 6, 9 was just unbelievable. I actually refunded it
just another pointless scripted game when u thought sw5 roster was bad now u get only 10 dudes....o and u cant play them more than a minute before going back to generic dweeb 😆 pass
I’m not mad at you, I feel what you mean honestly! I just hope it turns out good for us all
I don't think the fact we're an insert character really strips anything personally I think the game as it stands has not been it's best for a long time I think I'm it's struggled in recent times actually I personally hated it since 5
4 had my hart
But it's been a very long time for 1 of these games to speak to me and they don't come around like other games even though this would be the 10th installment then last game was PS4 and the 1 before you could play on PS3😂 excluding XL and empires of course
So I think a switch up might just be what's needed I find the demo awesome I love the new changes made
I feel it could do more infact since we're now a general
I don't like that the allies are so easily killed or distracted
For example on the demo sun jian gets ambushed pretty quickly on the left side
If U don't help
No one else U personally don't help he dies...
In other games I'm an officer and I'm orderd to go hear save them do this kill them etc etc
Now I'm a general why can't I send officers to go help this person
Why does it still have to be me
I should be able to point and give orders in battle and say stay with yuanshou I'll go or I'll stay U go help and I'll continue with the plan
If that fails then I'll go😂
That's my only gripe with the game in truth
We're at a stage where all that's changed is a I can give a few tactical orders don't get me wrong it's welcome
But I feel on the battlefield I should be able to give alot more orders and control things alot more
At least that's my opinion
Other than that it's flawless and I hope it does well
