Ive shot a 9mm hi point carbine and was pretty impressed with the ergonomics given how it looks and the size. Basically zero recoil and probably one of the most accurate ways to shoot 9mm. It did have problems jamming though, some mags worked better than others. My hi point handguns have more reliable mags than the carbine i used did.
Alexa they are a fraction of the price of other guns that do the same thing. And most of the time, they are very reliable. I have a cheapo .380 acp hi point pistol that i got for 80 bucks at a pawn shop, beat up as shit, and it has never failed me. Its quite comfortable to shoot too, and accurate.
As Hickock would say as he goes down a list of guns " This gun will cost 600 dollars and this gun will cost you 500 dollars and this gun will cost you 400 dollars and this gun will cost you your pride. It's a highpoint.
I have the same carbine chambered for 9mm for the cheaper ammo and I love it. Hi Point definitely made a better name for themselves with this carbine. Awesome and cheap
The Hi-Point carbines have had pretty good reviews since they came out, unlike the pistols. The biggest drawback these days is that they're still just single-stack magazines.

The Redball mags are ugly are only 20rd capacity. Had the .40 carbine for years. 2k+ rounds no jams, no issues. Can't disassemble and clean them. Just keep slide open and clean barrel. Extremely reliable and accurate, especially for the price point. Mine was under $300 10 years ago.

just my 2 cents, i have had alot of experience with highpoint, mostly telling students not to bring them to the range. but we bought a 9mm carbine as a joke, IT RAN FLAWLESSLY FOREVER AND STILL DOES. its insane.
Out of all the guest Matt has had on, this one has made me the most anxious to watch. Reminds me of having to train newbies on the range. I had that same highpoint chambered in 9m back in the early 2000's. I liked it. It was pretty durable for what I payed for it. It wasn't as expensive to shoot as my keltech sub2000 chambered in 40cal. It was more accurate than the keltech too. Watching your video I wish I hadn't sold them they were definitely cool.
The adjustable sights are very nice. I wish I could mount a red-dot without doubling the price of the gun 😂. One day when I get the money I'm going to get the slide milled to look tactical.
My grandfather has one of these, and it's a super fun gun to fire, and it has held up really well for him. Of all of the guns I have seen Matt shoot, I was shocked to see he hadn't shot one of these.
@@lungeranon7645 the 45 can be really easily converted for .45 1911 magazines and redball make 15rd mags for the 9, .40 and there's a 12 I think for the .45. The mag catch conversion allows you to run the 1911 drum mags in the .45 as well which rocks The bullpup conversion that HTA produce have a hicap as well IIRC.

Had the .40 carbine for years. 2k+ rounds no jams, no issues. Can't disassemble and clean them. Just keep slide open and clean barrel. Extremely reliable and accurate, especially for the price point. Mine was under $300 10 years ago.

just my 2 cents, i have had alot of experience with highpoint, mostly telling students not to bring them to the range. but we bought a 9mm carbine as a joke, IT RAN FLAWLESSLY FOREVER AND STILL DOES. its insane.
Out of all the guest Matt has had on, this one has made me the most anxious to watch. Reminds me of having to train newbies on the range. Especially when he just started to walk down a hot range when Matt was trying to hip fire the glass. You see him point that muzzle up real quick. The whole video just felt really uneasy.

I had that same highpoint chambered in 9m back in the early 2000's. I liked it. It was pretty durable for what I payed for it. It wasn't as expensive to shoot as my keltech sub2000 chambered in 40cal. It was more accurate than the keltech too. Watching your video I wish I hadn't sold them they were definitely cool.

Hey dude, I have one of them in 45 cal. I frigging love it. It's a blast to shoot!!! And it's very accurate, to my surprise.
The adjustable sights are very nice. I wish I could mount a red-dot without doubling the price of the gun 😂. One day when I get the money I'm going to get the slide milled to look tactical.

My grandfather has one of these, and it's a super fun gun to fire, and it has held up really well for him. Of all of the guns I have seen Matt shoot, I was shocked to see he hadn't shot one of these.

The Hi-Point carbines are actually really reliable and accurate.
Yes. The only real negative is the single stack magazine.
Its slightly heavy for a PCC.
But its reliable and shoots well.
Wished they looked a little better but besides that i like hipoint

Just as reliable as the pistols are, since it is pretty much a pistol inside a housing with a long barrel.
@@lungeranon7645 the 45 can be really easily converted for .45 1911 magazines and redball make 15rd mags for the 9, .40 and there's a 12 I think for the .45. The mag catch conversion allows you to run the 1911 drum mags in the .45 as well which rocks
The bullpup conversion that HTA produce have a hicap as well IIRC.
