The thing is when you`re wearing a vest, it will transmit the force of the bullet throughout the entire vest, which is a way bigger surface area then that of a wallet. So even if the wallet does stop the bullet, you`re gonna get really hurt bcs the impact force of the bullet is still mostly there.
