I was literally drinking a cup of coffee with milk and honey when I decided to watch this video. Some coffee is smooth and has a nutty, cereal like flavour, whereas other coffees can be very bitter and acid. Also, if it's too torrefied it can taste like ash. Adding milk often helps but sometimes the coffee is just too bad.
I am shocked that anyone would like black coffee the first time they tried it. Coffee is pretty much an acquired taste. The first few times I tried it I hated it. I guess it can still be individual. Personally, I drunk coffee only when I was sleepy, I neither loved or hated the taste. But, after I visited Turkey, and a few more countries with similar coffee culture, I got addicted to Turkish coffee, and I prepare and drink it usually twice a day. The only change in drinking any other type of coffee is that as Turkish coffee is usually not available anywhere in here, I prefer espresso if drinking outside, as it is black and strong as well. And, when I serve Turkish coffee to friends, some like it, but some ask for milk and hot water to make it "normal" lol
