(Who the heck eats that stuff 😂) bad for you lol, and wants more when he’s done! 😂 can’t compete! Loves it! Lol cracks me up! What's the ketchup for? I don't see any fries.

    • @paddington1670
      @paddington1670 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      fries are actually traditionally eaten with mayo and mustards and stuff, only in North America has it become normal practice to use ketchup for fries. SO, any other country around the world sees a random sauce, in this case ketchup, it is not an easy jump to conclude it's for one of the side dishes only, as is tradition in the US and Canada. This is probably just a case of give a man a hammer and everything's a nail situation, give them a sauce, theyll use it on everything, I dont fault them, one dip into ketchup and youre hooked, unless youre a tasteless heathen who hates ketchup. So they probably like ketchup, and end up using it on everything, when really it was intended to be used with just fries as you point out.

    There is a debate that if it isn't beef it is a sandwich. Personally if it uses sandwich bread then it is a sandwich. If it uses burger buns then it could be called a burger.
    The word burg comes from German and means castle. This is a bit long even though it is a summary, but over 9 centuries ago there was an area of what is now Germany that the emperor of the time that ruled the location, decided to have a military fortification put in place to bring order to the area. This area was filled with lots of meadows. In the language of the area at the time the word for meadow was Ham. The castle that was constructed there was named Hammaburg. Which means Castle In the Meadows. The castle town which is the settlement meant to support the castle with food, arms, horses etc as is the custom takes the name of the castle. Over time Hammaburg was shortened to Hamburg.
    The settlement of Hamburg over the centuries grew to one of the major European cities due to its location on a river that goes out to sea. This river is deep and wide enough for huge sea going vessels with their passengers and cargo to not just depend on coastal cities but be able to go deep into the heart of the continent and exchange cargo at Hamburg. This meant the culture of Hamburg such as food and other things spread all over the world due to the sea going travelers, crew and merchant/explorers.
    One of these things that came by way of these ships was a dish alleged to have been invented in Hamburg called Hamburg Steak. It is a minced or ground patty of beef (steak sized) cooked by various means and seasonings with certain side items to make a meal. This dish spread to basically half the world with several variations still being served today
    One of these countries was the US and in the late 19th early 20th possibly in multiple places at near the same time someone or several someone decided to make a smaller patty of Hamburg and put several veggies along with it in between two slices of bread. Hence the hamburger was invented in the US and become a huge hit with the working class. This is because lots and lots of hamburgers can be cooked on a flatop grill meaning you can serve lots of people in a short amount of time on their lunch break from the factories, shipyards. Eventually this spread around the world due to travelers to and from the US as well as soldiers in WW2 bringing it to Europe where it then went into other places.
    Eventually other meats and edible stuff was made into patties to fit local tastes and hence you have shrimp burgers, bison burgers, veggie burgers, pork burgers etc There are a lot of different burger variations out there along with what is considered the customary side items.

    He is absolutely right that it can cause obesity! Which is why you don’t eat like that on a regular basis. We usually eat at home but it’s available to us pretty much as soon as you get out of our neighborhood. Cabbage & lettuce are 2 different foods. They look similar, but very different tastes. Lettuce is much better for a salad (& the more vegetables you can put into the salad, the better it tastes) or for burgers. Cabbage is MUCH better if you sauté it in either butter or oil or even in bacon grease and put seasonings/spices on it.

    Agree, the KFC one was probably a lot better. The McChicken is kinda really meh. It's a "budget" option. But if you've got the couple extra dollars for the KFC one, it definitely seems the bigger, better, more tasty version with a good cut of meat rather than the meat puree of the McChicken. IMO, the McChicken is more of a "food-like-substance" than actual "food." Not a big fan. But if you're tight on cash and need something for like a buck or two, it'll suffice, barely... Tho, adding ketchup or other condiments definitely helps in terms of flavor. Otherwise, pretty bland.

      People here tend to like Italian dishes such as Pizza and Pasta. In my personal opinion these tribals would also like lasagna. I will try to make a video on that.

      Your eyes are blurry...Sheila is a gentle and beautiful human who opens her soul for an honest review of a burger; but gets reviewed for her genitalia, which wasn't the topic until Dawn decided this is open season for gender variants.

      did you give any thought to how brave shela is? specially in a country where tolerance is not one of the first things you think of when it is mentioned. being true to one self is not easy. so who cares what shela identifys as? i like to be on edge but this lady considering where she is from deserves at least a modicum of your respect.

    American burger or just a sandwich. A Sandwich and chicken at that. t's ok, they did not know or they can't eat beef or something. Looks good anyway.

    This is a chicken sandwich. Burgers are beef, not chicken.

      Actually the problem is, he is weak on listening. He is not deaf but has very weak sense of listening that is why he speaks loudly which feels rude and maybe he doesn't understand my questions properly and we don't get proper explanation from his side.
