what a beautiful tractor keep the high quality videos coming with the good sound I'm 60 years old and never got into trucking but when I was in my early twenties for 8 years I worked at two different general tire truck service departments, and a Johnny antonelli truck service department in Rochester New York, I used to run these things around the yards come on before we change the tires on them what great memories I ended up being a building maintenance man and a lawn cutting contractor to take care of my sweetheart and animals, one side of me always wanted to be a trucker, we are blessed
My dad had a General in 85 with the Cummins. I remember the original windshield washer bottle was a big plastic mayo jar . Very nice tractor !! Thanks for the video.
Back in those days it was called the silver 92 Detroit back in 81 to 83 I was a teenager back then they didn't make to many of those engines and my uncle owned a 1978 Chevy Titian it was special back then in the late 70's and Early 80's Michael from Mississippi
Green Detroits had turbos and were available as both TT&T. First aftercooled automotive spec 92 was indeed black with gold pinstriping on the manifolds & was435 hp 👍
The silvers were much improved over the early production. TT governor bypass blower were a couple. Seems that most 92 series engines that have been replaced or oh’s get the silver paint when they go back in whether they have a silver s/n or not.
In 1980 I was 19 and got my CDL in a GMC just like that Bison. Goodness Gracious Has It Been That Long!!!
I love the sound of those old school Detroits! Keep the great content coming!!🔥
