BIG RIG Review // Thousand Trails Bay Landing // What is Suite Travels Community? // Full Time RV

We have jsut started using the Thousand Trails system and we are currently staying at one in Advance, NC. This park also assigned us a spot at check in. I like it as it made really easy since we are also a big rig and they gave us a huge site that we fit into perfectly. This park is not perfect either but overall we are very happy with our stay. Its nice and quiet and overall pretty clean. Some things could use some maintenance but overall a positive experience.

Hi guys!! We have yet to find a TT that has good roads getting in or clean facilities. But our son and his family love going to different ones. You will never believe what we had to replace yesterday...our microwave!! 😂 Heating up leftovers for dinner and we heard a pop and the control panel went wacko then shutoff. Hubby checked the breakers and fuses then checked the plug in. All was good. Three hours after getting a new microwave we had it installed. Not a fun task for 2 people who've never replaced a microwave before!! I couldn't believe ours went out a week after your video getting yours replaced. 😂 Safe travels...💜

We purchased our Grand Design 310GK from Camperland of Oklahoma in Tulsa three years ago. Two years ago we went full-time. They are AWESOME when it comes to repairs and service! They do everything they can to fix problems and get us back on the road in a timely manner. We cannot recommend Camperland of Oklahoma in Tulsa enough!!

Couldn’t believe how big those sites are at that TT!! That’s awesome! Maybe if more folks bring out how they feel about the conditions at some of these RV parks, the places will step up their game if they want repeat customers. (I’m sensing a theme with your videos… first the dealers, now the parks..🤔) Sounds like a great plan! Voice it! Shout it! These places are getting top dollar. As always, love watching your travels every week! My best are when your at Bridgeport. We use to pastor a church in Chico(just down the road). Always watching to see if any thing has change since we moved back to Arkansas. We still have family there in Bridgeport 💞

We are 1000 trails members and use as a "campground membership" not a resort membership.
Many need upgrades, but make the best of it.

Well, sold my truck and camper, bought a jeep with camper. No RVIA sticker, so same story as before. Last time I was there I showered every night and cringed every time. Ceilings and wall have mold everywhere. Pretty gross.
So, my membership is for sale. Sad, because loved walking there with Rufus . 😢

Try Lake Texoma not that far from ft. Worth & your daughter, they have added 150 new sites mostly pull thru with new bathhouse. It’s gorgeous here. Off 377 just south of ok

Sounds like Lynchburg Va. but I don’t mind. I’ve been with TT since 07 and some are great, some are good and some….well, not so good 😂. It serves its purpose for me. I’m only 21’ long, lifted and 4wd so the roads don’t bother me. No toad so I drive everywhere anyhow. I’m not the normal guy though.
It does look like a nice spacious park and I like the location. Ft worth is definitely on my list. 👍🏼

It's a great park - just needs some TLC. We feel the longer you let maintenance go, the harder and more expensive to fix things. We hope you get a chance to visit. We really like the area.

Great video Jim and Kellie! Glad you spent time with family. But sorry about the Thousand Trails where you are at isn’t good to travel on the gravel roads. I remember you saying about the TT here in Vegas. I agree I don’t know why they don’t clean sone of them up. I want yo join your community on Facebook but I couldn’t figure out how to do it. No Facebook for me. I will continue to watch here. As for TT, here is my 2 cents worth. It is all about your expectations. If you join TT, and your number one consideration is money, you are at the right place. If you want a great RV park, then you will need to spend more and not at TT. I just want to pay less and get hook-ups, the rest is less important to me.

We have heard A LOT of Thousand Trails are in disrepair and just not up to par with the membership. Seems Florida is about the only place TT cares about their parks.

Pretty typical for Thousand Trails. Many of their parks are usable just need upkeep and maintenance and leave a lot to be desired.

The road is terrible we will look for a different park because of it. Love the park but just can’t stand the road.

Not a fan of TT. Find most of their campgrounds run down and lacking maintenance. Have not been impressed and will avoid at all costs. Now, this is our opinion and others may find it fits their need.

With a TT membership, it makes sense for us. We don't use the amenities so the cost factor for us is important.

Yes, it seems every TT we have driven through. We have not been impressed. Many of them appear to have year-round residence, and some look like vagrants living there. Never got the warm and fuzzies from any of them.
