We've been RVing for over 40 years and now that we're full-time in our RV, we have service work that we can't perform on the road, so we visit an RV Service Center a couple of times a year to make sure our RV works properly. Since we purchased our DRV Fullhouse, we've been using Rolling Retreats RV for our service needs and they have been amazing.

Many dealers are focused on the sale and nothing further. I guess they are in the market for 1-time customers. We were extremely fortunate and also found an outstanding dealer that makes you feel like family - before, during, and after the sale. Treat the customer as you would like to be treated - with honesty integrity and great communication.

Likeminded people flock together! Rolling Retreats RV is spectacular because the owners are GOD fearing people who honor, glorify, praise and serve the Lord by being righteous, kind and above board with their customers and employees, as well as in all of their business endeavors, all the time. Beautiful, simply beautiful!

First off, these are people who don’t give lip service to religion, they are real Psalm 1:1-3 people, those that every word, every step, every ounce of their being is wholly committed to God, His Word and His ways. And second, they’ve decided to be masters of one brand. They’ve learned everything about that brand and keep themselves updated accordingly. Now that right there is a mission statement if ever there was one. Thanks for sharing Suite Travels 😇

You do not want to hear the horror story we had with a major RV dealer in Tampa. Their RV technician had destroyed our skylight above our shower when he installed the Max Air covers we ordered. His boots shattered & crushed the skylight, he didn't know it & tried to cover himself later by blaming it on us. They didn't have a new skylight in stock & we agreed to bring it back later if we could stay with the coach. 10 months later I was told the new CEO doesn't allow you to stay with the coach at night, they needed the coach for 2 months & we needed to empty it out of our personal things while they had it. When we protested they eventually shortened it to a 2 day stay, but we still were told to completely empty the rig, but on top of it Sheila just broke her arm & we had no place to go while we sought an orthopedic surgeon. Eventually we agreed to receive the new skylight top & hired an RV technician while I cared for Sheila 24/7. She got a surgeon scheduled & we got a new skylight installed for $250 which included the installation of 16 tubes of self leveling lap sealant. Thank goodness for Roving RV Repair businesses, but we won't be buying from the Tampa mega dealers anymore even if they claim to have 100 service bays. In the future we do plan to vacate the RV for the servicing, but to completely empty the coach first is very unreasonable for sure. Cheers Davey & Sheila

We have yet to have a good service experience with an rv. Last time is the last time for us. Our new Grand Design Solitude spent the first 6 months waiting for fixes. I got so fed up with lies and delays I decided to just pick it up and forget the fixes. We’ve had it parked at our Shyrock lot the past couple of years and have decided to ditch the rv travel life. We’ll be getting a Park Model and stay put in our happy place too!!

Rolling Retreats treated us wonderfully while they put a flex armor roof on our Grand Design. In and out on time and everyone we met on staff were awesome. I’m of the opinion private owned dealers are motivated to maintain a reputation and large corporations are all about the sale and profit. Glad you have a good relationship with your RV dealer. We bought a brand new Winnebago motorhome back at the end of 2018 and the dealer was a nightmare to deal with for warranty work. Delays and lack of communication in addition to the fact that, like you explained, they didn’t do any work on it unless ALL the parts were there so it ended up sitting in their lot for 3 months. At one point they were not returning my calls so I ended up driving in to just talk to them in person and they said that they expect all the parts to be here the following week and wanted to know when I would like to drop it off. It’s like ummmm, it better be here in your lot somewhere.. At any rate, I ended up just going to the Winnebago service center in Iowa and had a great experience. Like your dealer they would take my rig in the morning and return it in the late afternoon, provided free camping with water and 50 amp. It was just a great experience. I will be going back to have some wear and tear items taken care of this coming fall. Funny side note, our motorhome has that same microwave convection oven you do and I loved it so much I ended up replacing our microwave in our house with the same one. After having the smaller rv microwave and convection oven in our last trailer I really appreciate that manufacturers are starting to use these residential appliances. Safe travels!

Can't speak to DRV, I'm a long distance truck driver. I got into a 2020 Kenworth in September 2019. Starting in January 2022, I was having several different problems with it. I went to a dealer in Lakewood, WA with a code . They said it was a bad sensor in the DEF system. Waited 3 days for the part in a hotel. I left to go to Seattle to deliver a load & the code came back. Back to the dealership. This time, they said it probably wasn't the sensor to begin with. The DEF pump was only working intermittently. 4 days for that part. Don't remember what all of the rest of the problems were, but, by mid June, I'd spent about 4 weeks in various shops. Always waiting for parts. 😢

To show you how perceptions are so very different from other parts of the world, I'm speaking from Hong Kong. When I saw your microwave, I couldn't believe how large it was. Who needs a microwave that large, I thought to myself? And then you wondered out loud how anyone could manage with a 1.1 cubic foot microwave, which I consider normal. I don't think I was even aware that microwaves came any larger. At any rate, nice video -- interesting life style. TY for that!

There are some dealers or service departments wouldn't have told you there was damage on a new appliance because it might not have been visible. Glad they treat you right. I bought my rv from a dealer that treated their customers right, then they sold out to a national rv chain, I won't mention who but you could probably guess and I will not go there again for any service work. So I'm looking for someone as local to me has I can for any work I may need done. When I start going full time I may need some advice on how and where to look if I ever need some repairs done.

March22, 2024, We called and took our 2022 265RLS purchased August 2022 to our RV dealer because of a tire worn on the inside rib. They said that it's probably a bent axle and they would call the mfg. to get them to cover it, the service writer would call me later that day. I let him know that we were going to watch "Solar Eclipse" on April 8,2024 and ask how long they would have our camper. He told me IF the MFG. agreed that the axle would be in within about 4 to 6 weeks and I would have to leave the RV there. I told him that was NOT going to happen as we had 2 trips planed and paid for and that the MFG would be responsible for "ANY MORE DAMAGE AND ALL TIRE REPLACEMENT". He called the MFG, there response was they would work as quickly as possible!
Now April 5,2024 we still haven't heard from the MFG. NORMAL

Rv service centers are a joke there needs to be more legal responsibilities for these places that all they want to do is SELL RV'S and not mess with real work required to help people out.

We don't disagree, but if we stop giving them our business maybe they'll have to change their attitudes??

@SuiteTravels exactly, we as a society are in deep s**t from the lack of functioning mechanical skills to fix anything!! from what I've seen in our aviation industry, and I've been doing it for over 35 yrs. I had to show a young man how to properly use a ball peen hammer 🤦🤦🤦

Good video 😊 have you had any frame damage because there seems to be only one company who build frames for most rv's grand design is having problems with frame damage 🤔 safe travels

We haven't had any frame problems Stephen. Slade actually checks each rig that comes in for frame issues. All manufacturers are having frame issues and every service center should be checking them.
