  • We've done the planning and research as much as possible so now it's time for the rubber to hit the Mexico road. We're going down to Puerto Penasco or Rocky Point for the first time. We were denied in our HDT rig two years ago but we're two years smarter and now have a plan to get across....we hope.
Our trip takes a turn towards the East Coast. So we are almost done with our 2024 Western Leg of our Summer of 2024. Does that make sense? We want to detour down to Mexico before we get to the coast. Camping in Mexico is an itch we have to scratch. Let's hope it doesn't bleed.
We are not Snow Birds but we do like nice warm weather and heading west is the best.
Come join our Facebook Group, Big Truck Big Travels to get more details on our travels such as Alaska itinerary, annual costs and such.

    RV Camping
We like to "Switch it Up" between resorts and campgrounds and boondocking is always an option.
We draw inspiration from Keep Your Daydream KYD, Less Junk More Journey, Finding Our Someday and Changing Lanes. We normally travel in an HDT similar to TH-cam channels Suite Travels, Switch it Up and Watts on Wheels. I also get some ideas from the editing style of Happily Ever Hanks (Happilyeverhanks) #thankshanks and believe it or not, I actually learned something from MRBeast Mr Beast video's as well.
Our journey is the destination. We want to share in our experiences in our discovery of What's Next.
    I get my music from:
    Epidemicsound.com
    Tracks:
    Bahame by Bad Rabbit
The River's gonna Cry when you're gone by Loving Caliber
Playing at the Beach by Isobelle Walton
Cuondo Baja el Sol by Alcones Negros
    Sunset Serenade by Dvine
Amazon Shop (no extra charge to you)
A convenient way to see (or buy) the items you see in the video's which may help in your adventure.

We use the TSD card for diesel fuel and save a bundle each time we fill up our Big Rig. We also use it to fill up our Onan generator.
The big blue boards (XL version) we use sometimes to get us "un-stuck" is from:
    Gotreads.com
Our Class C is built by Thor Motorcoach on a Ford F550 chassis. It's a production build Magnitude model XG32. We tow our red Jeep Wrangler Sahara behind it. We've made some modifications to it so that we can boondock comfortably. Lithium batteries, Victron 3000w multi-plus inverter, dual alternators charge while traveling and mods to the water system greatly enhance it's boondocking capabilities.
Our extreme completely custom 5th wheel is built on a semi-trailer chassis with air suspension and air brakes. Completely loaded it weighs 42,000 lbs rolling down the highway. And we do roll down the highway nearly every week. You see, we believe that if your home has wheels they should be used.
    Vehicles:
    2016 Volvo VNL780 "Voyager"
    2016 Smart fortwo "Pathfinder"
2019 SpaceCraft Custom built semi-trailer 5th wheel "Orion"
    2023 Thor Magnitude XG32 Class C "Curiosity"
    2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara "Artemis"
    Power system:
3250 watts of solar with Panasonic panels
    30.1 KWH of Lithium batteries
2- 4K watt Magnum Inverters deliver power as if we are on shore power
2- 4K watt 240v Cotek Inverters deliver additional power for our LG Mini split HVAC and stove
Coachnet is our roadside assistance company we use but hopefully we don't use them too often. LOL
We are not sponsored by Whataburger but I do enjoy them anytime I can get my hands on one. They used to be just out of Texas but they have expanded.
BIg Truck Big Travels video's are based on our personal experience and not meant nor portrayed as experts in anything we do or say. It's our life on the road and our opinions are not meant to be construed as advice. Enjoy life on the road.

Did you notice the difference? In the United States people stand on the corner and ask for money. In Mexico they stand on the corner with tools to work.. they don't want a handout they want to work I have a hard time seeing people that are snobbish when they enter another country.

  • @franciscovalencia8881

To the people who are in Mexico with tools asking for work and not money on the corners like in the United States

  • @edwardlara1011

I wouldn't travel to Mexico in an RV if you paid me a million bucks.

Ha I thought my dad stood out like a sore thumb going to Monterrey Mexico in 1977 in a new top of the line Lincoln continental mark 5 when Mexico was very poor . They thought my dad was the USA 🇺🇸 president going through old poor broken down neighborhood with bad streets . But you go in a very expensive RV. lol 😂. At least Mexico is not poor anymore like back in the day !

When you're in Mexico and you're in the middle. And nowhere you never stop. You keep going to when you get to the place where you go in. It's always bad people trying to take you money. And after that happened, you call the police and the police don't gonna do nasty because they don't. It's gonna be hard to find these people, you know what I mean. For next time, don't stop in the middle of the road, just keep going in good luck.😮😮😊

  • @royhindmarsh4087

    how is gas down there?

Ok, why there is a traffic light AND a stop 🛑 sign? In Mexico there are power outages on a regular basis, no power no traffic lights. In order to rule the traffic even when the power is gone, they put Stop 🛑 Signs. When the traffic light is working properly, you do not have to obey that 🛑 in addition.

My wife and I love your videos and have a great time watching them. We traded our 36 foot Newmar class A to a 2024 pottery barn airstream trailer and get inspiration when watching your videos. Keep them coming and maybe we will see you on the road.

  • @CarolStJohn-ev9ry

What fun that you switched it up and did some tent camping. The food looked great at your new favorite eatery and your soaring videos and photos of the scenery were lovely. I'm glad Sondra found stickers!
