Looking for a beginner motorcycle as a first time rider? An advanced motorcyclist looking for a fuel efficient and practical commuter bike? Hi, I'm french, I wanted to thank you for your video, I want to buy an Akrapovic exhaust for my Honda CB 300 R but Européen legislation are very restrictive, do you know how many dB it produce with the dB killer (on Akrapovic's website they say we Can have 8 more than the original but I don't know if it's with or without the dB killer (I Hope it's without if it's not I can't use it on open road 🥲).

This made me really sure to really decide on this bike. I already have CB 300 on my list, along with Yamaha R3, KTM 390, BMW 310R.
I like the design of the Honda and KTM the most.
However, your review of the performance and features makes me even more confident. Thanks from Manitoba!

I recently bought a Honda CB300R (2022) for the son of my secretary for him to ride at university and to travel home (170 kms = 90 miles) back to the village to see his mum occasionally.
The 2022 now comes with a gear indicator, softer seat, showa front forks like the CB650R, slipper assist clutch, front mudguard matches tank colour.
I looked at a CRF300L but then thought that we only ride on tarmac roads, gravel roads and occasional farm tracks and ride in the town so decided the Honda CB300R made more sense.
I would describe it as a Honda Grom with power.
It is a really good looking light motorbike (difficult to distinguish it from the beautiful Honda CB650R at first instance). It it great for city riding (narrow, short wheelbase, good turning circle) but can handle long journeys on the main roads as well and great on fuel.
I would say that the Honda CB300R is underrated and more fun to ride than the bulky CB500.

I love the way it sounds. I just sold my z900 and am looking to pick one of these up. I had a 300f and while it was ugly it was more fun for the type of riding I do. Subbed! Also I love the fact that a lot of people say it’s like a larger more powerful Grom.

Yep; the CB300R is like a powerful Grom.
I find it a really good looking motorbike, like the CB650R and might not be the fastest in its category but it is fun to drive, quality, good on fuel and Honda reliability that makes sense when you get older.

I own a CB300R, 15,000km on it so far. Had a 2017 FZ09 before the little CB, I missed the nimbleness of the Grom I sold. The CB300R is a big Grom, it does everything that I disliked about the Grom.
Lets think about it, if you fallow speed limits or go a bit above them, this bike will do it all day with no issues. I topped at 160kmh, I can ride 120kmh at 8,000rpm and this bike don't complain or over heat.
I have a new luggage rack with a Givi Trekker 42 top case on it now, it limits my top speed to 140kmh but I don't need to go any faster.
Here what is missing, gear shif indicator, sometimes you think you are in 5th but actully you are already in 6th. Honda should put the cat converter in the header instead in the muffler section, it would be easyer to fit legal slip ons. Also, Honda should bump the engine cc to 399? It would help to lower the revs at higher cruising speed and offer a real competition to the other bikes in this class.
I'm going to travel with the CB300R, add as many km as I can on it. Buying an action cam next summer, time for me to really start putting stuff on my channel :)

I’m chiming in for more reference points. I have the 2019 red cb300r, i’m 5’10, 150lbs 32” inseam and i can flatfoot it. The main thing keeping most people who are used to flatfooting these smaller displacement bikes is seat width. The cb’s seat is pretty wide which widens your stance and may keep anyone under 5’9 or so from flatfooting. But as YEG said, one foot down is the norm anyway buts its nice if you need to stretch a bit at a long light.
