You know what truly ironic, diamonds are pure carbon, the main component of organic life, there is even a process where you can take your ashes when you die and make them into a diamond. Also there's amber which is a tree resin that forms into gems which are also organic, shame we never saw one, if they even exist.

I think a pearl's servant class status is due to the fact that pearls are organic gems. The Gems clearly consider themselves superior to organic life forms, so any organic Gem on Homeworld would be seen as less than all other Gems.
well technically pearls are comprised of aragonite in the real world, i theorise that pearls are not naturally created gems, and are instead manufactured, the process would involve a gem called aragonite, the aragonite's would be created in kindergardens, and then would be pretty much instantly shattered, the shattered aragonites would be reformed into the shape of a pearl, creating a new gem.
How does no one understand that our pearl is rainbow pearl since she has all the diamonds colors, aka she’s default pearl. She’s also represented with the color blue (in Stevens experience as a “ghost” in reunited) meaning blue was the one that gave our pearl to pink. By the way in reunited bismuth is represented by rainbow meaning she belongs to all the diamonds at the same time.

Fun fact: Not every Pearl in Homeworld has the same ability to store things inside their gems. We’ve only seen this because the pearls we’ve seen (except aubergine pearl) are from era 1 AKA from an era where recourses were still abundant. (Peridot said this in one episode)
I've always been in love with pearls! I don't know if it's there loyalty, knowledge or sweet demeanor but something about their physique with their cute elongated nose I found appealing and instantly fell in love with! Aside from yellow, who really is it good example of being a representative of they're influencer, I loved them all. I wouldn't want them to be submissive, but encourage them to embrace their individuality.

So I've noticed that both blue and yellow pearl have their gem at the same place as their diamond. Volleyball has hers on her stomach and pink diamond had her gem there too. Does that mean that it is possible for our pearl to have first been made for white? I think that it is possible and then white decided to give her to pink after pink accidentally hurt volleyball.
Our pearl wasn't customized per Pink's specifications like Pink Pearl (and all other known pearls) was. She was likely left un-customized because the other diamonds wanted to avoid Pink becoming attached to her pearl a second time, purely fulfilling the role of an unsentimental servant and nothing more. As for our pearl's gem placement, I suspect that when a pearl's gem placement is not pre-set by the owner, it is just selected at random like for all other gems. but then again who knows lol

The pearls gemstones aren't necessarily made. Steven asks if the reef is where pearls are made, much like how quartz solders are made in a kindergarten. The actual gemstone is put into the ground of the kindergarten, to make sure of the right placement, cut, depth, etc. Chances are a similar thing happens with pearls. Although I may be completely wrong.

Blue is sad and solace and white pearl (even though controlled by white) is controlling and makes you stop talking. But like how water is adaptable, blue pearl becomes playful and shows emotion So here are the phases. It would have been interesting if they showed off a black pearl and tied it to the real life mythology and rarity of them. There is a story about a pearl dealing family that finds a giant black pearl, and initially believe that the wealth and status will make their lives easier, but they just find it complicated their life. Additionally, there are superstitions surrounding whether they found "The Pearl of Heaven" or if they had stolen it from the "Manta Diablo" and will be cursed. (The book is "The Black Pearl" by Scott O'Dell in 1967.)
There is something I find sad about the way Blue and Yellow Pearl kinda immediately ditched their Diamonds after the Authority was abolished. I believe the Diamonds are still the rulers of Gem kind but without the cast system, the pearls felt clearly no desire to serve their diamonds anymore. Ofc the Diamonds weren’t amazing but there is this vibe that the Diamonds are close with their Pearls, besides White ig. Clearly they weren’t as close as we thought since we never really see Blue or Yellow interact with their pearls afterwards.
Since the Pearl and Ruby that make up Rhodonite were owned by a Morganite, which is a pink gemstone, I believe the Pearl had a pink coloration. Perhaps the Ruby did too. Pink rubies are really pretty. I should write a story about them...

Especially since Pearls are important in my country, Philippines, we have a lot of jewelry with them especially thanks to the West Philippines Sea, and since our country is know as The Pearl of the Oriental Sea. I‘d like to mention that the Pink Pearl fusion episode was also clearly a homage to the finale of Utena. Not only does Pink Pearl strongly resemble anthy from uthena, their fusion also looks like a mix between utena and anthy wich are in the last episode basically on the brink of death as Anthy betrayed utena being in denial about her fate and it ends with utena helping anthy break the cycle if abuse and embrace being her own person instead of someone else‘s posession or a punching bag for someone else who wouldn‘t wanna take accountability. The whole episode is very simmilar.
Okay... so it really is unsure of where our Pearl's owner is but I think I got it. If you look at the pearls, their gems are in the same place as their diamond's gems would be. ( example: pink pearl has her gem on her belly just like pink etc. ). So depending on that illustration, Pearl's owner should be... White Diamond. I mean.. her colors aren't off. And that was a theory for many other fans too. It was just SO subtle. Pearl's gem is on her forehead.. just like White. Blue Pearl has her gem on her chest, like Blue. Yellow has her gem on her chest like Blue Pearl. And we talked about Pink Pearl already.
I have a theory, I think that Volleyball (pink pearl) and pearl were switched, volleyball was originally pink diamonds pearl, and pearl was originally white diamonds pearl. Pearls reflect the appearance and personality of their owners, and though volleyball and pearl were both pink diamond’s pearls, pearl seems to resemble white diamond more in all categories than she does pink diamond. While volleyball matches with pink diamond almost completely. Not to mention that a pearls gem placement matches those of their owner, pearls gem is on her forehead just like white diamond, while volleyball’s gem is on her navel.

Look at the positions of the gems on the respective pearls. While it makes sense that Volleyball was Pink Diamond's Pearl, because both have their gems on their lower torso, we could assume that Crystal Gem Pearl was originally White Diamond's Pearl, because both have the gem on their foreheads, and their personalities... match, to some extent. This makes me think that CG Pearl was passed down from White Diamond to Pink Diamond when Volleyball was decomissioned, while the upper Diamond kept the broken Pearl for herself.
I love the theme song if Giant Pearl, aptly named Prince Pearl. It's a nice play on words they aren't a princess, but a noble young warrior fighting for them selves and for Steven. I dunno, a powerful lady like her bearing the title of Prince just feels fitting to me in a way.

I think a pearl's servant class status is due to the fact that pearls are organic gems. The Gems clearly consider themselves superior to organic life forms, so any organic Gem on Homeworld would be seen as less than all other Gems.
well technically pearls are comprised of aragonite in the real world, i theorise that pearls are not naturally created gems, and are instead manufactured, the process would involve a gem called aragonite, the aragonite's would be created in kindergardens, and then would be pretty much instantly shattered, the shattered aragonites would be reformed into the shape of a pearl, creating a new gem.

I think the pearl that forms rhodonite is also a pink pearl, since her last owner was a Morganite , a pink variety of Beryl.
How does no one understand that our pearl is rainbow pearl since she has all the diamonds colors, aka she’s default pearl. She’s also represented with the color blue (in Stevens experience as a “ghost” in reunited) meaning blue was the one that gave our pearl to pink.
By the way in reunited bismuth is represented by rainbow meaning she belongs to all the diamonds at the same time.
I still think she used to belong to White but was given to Pink after she damaged Volleyball, just my theory though.

Fun fact: Not every Pearl in Homeworld has the same ability to store things inside their gems. We’ve only seen this because the pearls we’ve seen (except aubergine pearl) are from era 1 AKA from an era where recourses were still abundant. (Peridot said this in one episode)
I've always been in love with pearls! I don't know if it's there loyalty, knowledge or sweet demeanor but something about their physique with their cute elongated nose I found appealing and instantly fell in love with! Aside from yellow, who really is it good example of being a representative of they're influencer, I loved them all. I wouldn't want them to be submissive, but encourage them to embrace their individuality.

So I've noticed that both blue and yellow pearl have their gem at the same place as their diamond. Volleyball has hers on her stomach and pink diamond had her gem there too. Does that mean that it is possible for our pearl to have first been made for white? I think that it is possible and then white decided to give her to pink after pink accidentally hurt volleyball.
But pink pearl said she’s older than our pearl, and white diamond is probably WAY older than pink diamond.
Our pearl wasn't customized per Pink's specifications like Pink Pearl (and all other known pearls) was. She was likely left un-customized because the other diamonds wanted to avoid Pink becoming attached to her pearl a second time, purely fulfilling the role of an unsentimental servant and nothing more. As for our pearl's gem placement, I suspect that when a pearl's gem placement is not pre-set by the owner, it is just selected at random like for all other gems. but then again who knows lol

The pearls gemstones aren't necessarily made. Steven asks if the reef is where pearls are made, much like how quartz solders are made in a kindergarten. The actual gemstone is put into the ground of the kindergarten, to make sure of the right placement, cut, depth, etc. Chances are a similar thing happens with pearls. Although I may be completely wrong.

Actually, Deedee Magno Hall is her voice actor. I believe Deedee just made her voice sound more proper and polished to fit Aubergine pearl lol. So I understand why you thought it was a different voice actor. But I do admire that she sounds different from the rest of the pearls :)
We've never seen any other pearl storing things in their gems, but we've seen Peridot doing it, she gets an electric detonator thingy to disable the robots in one of her first appearances. This might be an ability of gems with the stones in their foreheads.
Just a fun fact, the outfit when fused looks like it's supposed to be an homage to Revolutionary Girl Utena, a shojo manga. They outfit is based off of Utena who rebels and the hair is that of Anthy, who was basically a lady in waiting, and a very depressed character.
Symbolism for pink pearl (special collab with the other pearls)

She says this but shuts you down, doesn't give you a chance to speak but when she does she shows to be unphased and indifferent to your words

This statement above represents what white diamond truly means when she says "she is every color of the light" not that she is but they depend on her, it's just adding dark or liggt color to create a pearl like yellow and pink being the brightest
Even though colored white we can see her features like her pearl placement, her hair and design just with a crack, upon further inspection this is the pearl steven was dreaming of, when he was pink diamond but he was reflecting himself as pink (I have a theory on this relationship between Steven, "Rose", and Pink diamond). We can see it's pink pearl
And the comment once again "pearls are just white pearls with color" signifies how the pearls are the easiest to turn.
And also the blue pearl part when it says you give this to an emotional person (or whatever this theorist said) which represents the diamond aspect of a pearl and the tranquillity represents blue pearl. She prefers to *_"DRAW"_* in tranquillity.
But just like water blue gems are adaptable like you are flipping an on and off switch. Even though lapis took long to accept the crystal gems, he still trusted steven and came back to fight, blue diamond with water powers herself and *_"BLUE GEM OF ALL BLUE GEMS"_* was easier to crack. Ofcourse it was impossible for pink to come back but blue was so accepting that she didn't care and realize. And just like that she started making steven (pink diamond) sad again. This opens up a third theories is that the color of the diamond doesn't corilate to the diamond but it corilates to servants of the diamond or people close, like how pearl fell for pink, pink pearl aswell, yellow pearl just openly admits that her feelings are irrelevant and shuts people down. Blue is sad and solace and white pearl (even though controlled by white) is controlling and makes you stop talking. But like how water is adaptable, blue pearl becomes playful and shows emotion
So here are the phases. Water: adaptable

* how blue pearl became more confident, independent and bold
Blue: sadness & grief/loneliness
Blue diamond: Kept to herself when pink was gone and only confided in pearl because she saw herself in her, more than likely because pearls are based off of their diamond or master

But blue's counterpart being yellow, she took longer to understand, longer to join Steven's side and help him escape and how her ship so delayed when white controlled her 😂😂😂

In Steven universe there are characters that are pearls, but not every loyal pearl has an owner. Such as rutiles, there is a type of pearl for navigation systems, they are called facility pearls. They have no owner, but are completely loyal. Also yes, she is adorable-

It would have been interesting if they showed off a black pearl and tied it to the real life mythology and rarity of them. There is a story about a pearl dealing family that finds a giant black pearl, and initially believe that the wealth and status will make their lives easier, but they just find it complicated their life. Additionally, there are superstitions surrounding whether they found "The Pearl of Heaven" or if they had stolen it from the "Manta Diablo" and will be cursed. (The book is "The Black Pearl" by Scott O'Dell in 1967.)
There is something I find sad about the way Blue and Yellow Pearl kinda immediately ditched their Diamonds after the Authority was abolished. I believe the Diamonds are still the rulers of Gem kind but without the cast system, the pearls felt clearly no desire to serve their diamonds anymore. Ofc the Diamonds weren’t amazing but there is this vibe that the Diamonds are close with their Pearls, besides White ig. Clearly they weren’t as close as we thought since we never really see Blue or Yellow interact with their pearls afterwards.
Since the Pearl and Ruby that make up Rhodonite were owned by a Morganite, which is a pink gemstone, I believe the Pearl had a pink coloration. Perhaps the Ruby did too. Pink rubies are really pretty. I should write a story about them...

I love this video! Especially since Pearls are important in my country, Philippines, we have a lot of jewelry with them especially thanks to the West Philippines Sea, and since our country is know as The Pearl of the Oriental Sea. Plus tbh the pearls coming into their own and being emerged in art totally vibes with us since Filipinos are known for being in the arts and we’ve been enslaved by so many colonizers for more than 400 years.

Once there was the introduction of the pearls, I was like yup Pearl on Earth belonged to white originally, but was given color motifs from all the diamonds so Pink wouldn’t feel homesick at her planet, further confirmed when when White removed all the color from her original pearl because, pink seemed to respect her as an equal (friend) but that also put her pearl in danger, as she was prone to emotional outbursts, other than the calculated behaviors of the other diamonds especially when interacting with their pearls

I have a theory that Rhodonites pearl piece is the same as the Aubergine Pearl in Future. Their skin tone and hair seem to be very similar. Along with Rhodonites bottom eyes being semi almondish.
mega pearl is also a reference to the conjunction of anthy and utena from revolutionary girl utena… in which both girls work to overcome the forces oppressing them by finding camaraderie and support in each other. together, they become free to shape their own future.
I remember when I first saw pink pearl and white Dimond. I looked over at my friend and said "That's pink pearl." He was so pissed that I was trying to theory craft cus I guess Rebecca doesn't like it and I was like "Well she shouldn't have made it obvious. Blue pearl and Yellow Pearl have gem stone placements that match their diamonds. Our pearl is white and her gem stone placement matches White dimonds and white dimonds current pearl matches Stevens gemstone placement." Then he got even more made and told me to drop it. I just told him what ever if she doesn't like it she shouldn't have made the show because people do that no matter what.

They match up very well to their gem's symbolism. Blue is calm but brave enough to speak up, like when she welcomes back Pearl or tells of her interest in art. Yellow is all about being at the top where she can show off her smug cat-face. Volleyball was definitely very gay in a very romantic way

I‘d like to mention that the Pink Pearl fusion episode was also clearly a homage to the finale of Utena. Not only does Pink Pearl strongly resemble anthy from uthena, their fusion also looks like a mix between utena and anthy wich are in the last episode basically on the brink of death as Anthy betrayed utena being in denial about her fate and it ends with utena helping anthy break the cycle if abuse and embrace being her own person instead of someone else‘s posession or a punching bag for someone else who wouldn‘t wanna take accountability. The whole episode is very simmilar.

Okay... so it really is unsure of where our Pearl's owner is but I think I got it. If you look at the pearls, their gems are in the same place as their diamond's gems would be. ( example: pink pearl has her gem on her belly just like pink etc. ). So depending on that illustration, Pearl's owner should be... White Diamond. I mean.. her colors aren't off. And that was a theory for many other fans too. It was just SO subtle. Pearl's gem is on her forehead.. just like White. Blue Pearl has her gem on her chest, like Blue. Yellow has her gem on her chest like Blue Pearl. And we talked about Pink Pearl already.

I have a theory, I think that Volleyball (pink pearl) and pearl were switched, volleyball was originally pink diamonds pearl, and pearl was originally white diamonds pearl.
Pearls reflect the appearance and personality of their owners, and though volleyball and pearl were both pink diamond’s pearls, pearl seems to resemble white diamond more in all categories than she does pink diamond. While volleyball matches with pink diamond almost completely. Not to mention that a pearls gem placement matches those of their owner, pearls gem is on her forehead just like white diamond, while volleyball’s gem is on her navel.
Volleyball was Pink’s original, but Pink damaged her and White took Volleyball and gave Pink a default pearl as a punishment. I believe that it was revealed in SU Future, but you could also find more info on the fandom wiki :)

Look at the positions of the gems on the respective pearls.
While it makes sense that Volleyball was Pink Diamond's Pearl, because both have their gems on their lower torso, we could assume that Crystal Gem Pearl was originally White Diamond's Pearl, because both have the gem on their foreheads, and their personalities... match, to some extent.
This makes me think that CG Pearl was passed down from White Diamond to Pink Diamond when Volleyball was decomissioned, while the upper Diamond kept the broken Pearl for herself.
