You forgot an important point with Padparadscha. Despite her "future" vision only tells think that just happen, she has an external knoledge of the stuff, like realizing Lars was pressing the wrong button.
Padparadscha's power is context analysis. It's actually pretty useful.

Useful, but really specific.
She also was the first one willing to tell Garnet she was making everyone uncomfortable, the first one willing to say that everyone felt mocked by the compliments, which changed Garnet's whole approach. The last to hear the compliments, but the first to say that nobody was comfortable with them.
Padpaeadsha could be useful but isn’t if she had the ability to tell what was happening across the galaxy would be crazy or be able to recall other senior buts instead not gonna lie I found her character annoying infact I found a lot of the off colours annoying or boring
I think Lars is one of the only characters who went from one of my least to most favourite characters in such a small amount of time.

I am the same with him, Peridot, Emerald, Lapis, Bismuth, and Jasper. I hated the characters at first, but over time i loved them all as if they were my children...

The Off-Colors are based on some Alice in Wonderland characters
Fluorite: Caterpillar
Rutile Twins: Tweedledee and Tweedledum
Padparadsha: The White Rabbit (for “being late” with her predictions)
Rhodonite: The March Hare
This is further proved by the fact Steven and Lars met them when they fell in the deeper underground like a Rabbit Hole

The March Hare was rude and obsesed with riddles. I don't see why would she be Rhodonite, the Mock Turtle would make more sense. And the Tweedles are not from Wonderland, but from Trough the looking-glass. Also, Padparadscha been the White Rabbit just because she's late I think is a stretch. Nice theory, but full of holes
triccele That's a cool thought. I think, imo, Rhodonite and Padparadscha share the same kind of behaviors the White Rabbit was expressing from the Alice in Wonderland stories. The White Rabbit shows a side that he has trouble being delayed and some type of fear of being seen by Alice. It's kinda ironic how Padparadscha and Rhodonite behave similarly that the White Rabbit does. Anyway, the Off-Color Gems are pretty amazing and full of surprises. I'm glad that they're part of the show and Steven's best friends, too. Btw, I agree with your opinion. 👍😊
padparadscha is honestly actually really useful. she can help to clarify the past, like for example when garnet complimented the gems she wasn’t aware that she made them uncomfortable until after padparascha said something, and i’d love to see this kinda thing explored more!

Also when Emerald failed to hit the Sun Incinerator, Paddy clarified it was because the SI was Emerald's prized ship. Nobody else knew for sure.

Imagine trying to have a conversation with Padparadshca. I can imagine it being something like, you say something, wait a minute or two, get a reply, repeat. It can take a while, but it’s worth seeing what she think of the world and of you!
Also: I own some rhodonite and rainbow flourite, along with amethyst and many other gems. I love gemology

I love padparacha, nobody else seems to have pointed it out, while she cant see the future she has a really good perception about events that just passed, like how she said Garnet made everyone uncomfortable, her abilities are more emotional insight though, I know theres other examples of her doing this but I cant think of them right now 😅
Emily Morano or the fact that her “Delayed Reaction powers” are actually useful, like that time Lars was questioning why their spaceship isn’t moving, until she pointed out it’s because he was pushing the wrong button.

I hope Rhodonite gets to infuse and reform into a more cohesive looking fusion. I think she hasn’t infused or reformed since Morganite, so she looks that Cotton Candy Garnet.

Real life rhodonite is more pink and black striped than one solid color.
I think her hair is fine. The 'clothing' is mismatchedb i mean. And who knows, maybe she'll feel comfortable enough to lose a few extra body parts. I just want her to be able to 'treat' herself.

Padparadsha is actually perfect in her role of technical support because she's great at troubleshooting and explaining/predicting what went wrong and therefore give a clue on how to fix the problem. Example: "I predict Lars will press the wrong button"

I still really want to see the story of Fluorite. I want to see a genuine love story about two gems that grows into three. Then four, five, and six. I want to know what unites the six together and see what would make someone "the right gem" to make the septet.
From a writing standpoint, Garnet is one of the most fascinating characters I've ever seen because of her status as two entities merged into a new entity. Fluorite is like that but even more so.

I would like to add that patparacha may have a lot of situational and emotional intelligence. She predicted everyone would be uncomfortable when Garnet complimented them. Something that was obvious to us but maybe she could add additional details.
Flourite is a wise sweet old lady, which is like the first old-person gem, I think! (And she was the first one to say Rose Quartz wasnt real)

The Tweedles are not from Wonderland, that's a common misconception. They're from "Through the looking-glass"

Actually Paddy could be incredibly useful if aimed in the right direction! Think about it, space ship suddenly loses power, "what the he'll happened!?" But before you can start diagnostics, Paddy tells you exactly what just happened! So yeah she's not useless, it's the failure of her superiors to properly use her gifts!! Or that's the way I see it!
Not sure if other people have suggested this, but maybe the crystal gem fusion explanations (Opal, Sugalite, Sardonyx and Alexandrite) or Aquamarine and Topaz.

Oh my gosh! I just realize that Padparadsha’s little tuft of hair on the top of her head looks like a little crown on her head to emphasize the princess peach reference! Just what I thought she couldn’t get even cuter!
Update: I'm sure you would've known this by now but in one of the Future episodes, we're introduced to an Aubergine Pearl, who doesn't seem to belong to any Diamond either. Also Flint and Chert were in the same episode, when YD was reconstructing their shattered gems.
The only symbolism that was explained is Fluorite one

I have a theory that pink diamond is an off color, and thats why the diamonds bully her so much. The thing is, pink is the mix of red and white,but blue yellow and white are they're own colors. Pink was originaly supposed to be RED. The thing that lead the diamonds to keep her was the fact that she was a diamond. This is my theory of why pink was abused. Its stupid, but fun to imagine!

Notice how the off colors are more true to their real life meaning then the other gems. They take on the positive traits, unlike normal gems which take on the negative trails of their real stones

I actually have a theory about Rhodenite. You say that holding one removes anxiety, so what if said gem you’re holding ABSORBS it, therefore intensifying its own anxiety and fear. This would make sense, given Rhodenite’s personality. Just a little thing I thought to share. Great video, keep it up!

i ship paddy and leggy. the way paddy is able to predict what just happened and get a fuller understanding, it would really help leggy out with understanding what’s going on! a barely functional garnet!
It's so great Lars found them I think having so many differences yet all something found in Lars really helped him.
We also get some small appearance of Aubergine Pearl during Homeward Bound who was probably also never owned by a diamond.
Flint and Chert did appear in the SU Future episode "Homeworld Bound", though they are not a part of the Off Colors.

Flint and Chert were in fact used. They appeared in Homeworld Bound. (Chert is orange, Flint is like a grayish blue color. We're not sure whether if they're off colors or not)

Im not sure if this is a coincidence but Sapphires are blue gems and can see the FUTURE, meanwhile Orange Sapphires/Peach Sapphires like Padparadscha are Orange and can see the PAST, Blue and Orange are Opposites and Future and Past are Opposites, also Our Girl Garnet's Sapphire gem is on her palm while Padparadscha's gem is on the top of her hand, its a cool thing to point out here lol

I feel padparadscha represents conditions like autism (that I have). Sometimes we can be a wee bit slow with understanding things but can also notice things that others can't
